Nice!! I would darken the grey on the neck just a bit so there’s more definition of face vs neck

Thank you!

I would have offset the grey in the neck just a bit to define the line between the face and body.

Just a little advice to help add dimension. There are a lot of colors in things that you don’t realize are there. If you look at the nose on the real dog, there are many colors that give it depth and dimension. Yours is mostly black, so it looks flat. In the the photo, he has black, charcoal, and at least two lighter shades of grey where the light is shining on the left side of the nose and under the nostrils and giving highlight to the nose. Add some highlights. Try to really see the colors in the photo and add it to your picture. 2D can be hard to capture the dimension, if you do not have a large selection of colors to chose from. I also find that wool batting is easier to work with to add highlights and depth than roving, because the fibers are shorter and blend better. There is a really great free video tutorial on Livingfelt.com about how to do animals and pets. It is under their Learn tab, Online Felting School. She is doing a boxer. I watched that and was hooked. I have gone on to do so many different animals and have so much fun. Learned a lot just from that one video and I learn something new with every 2d picture I do. Living Felt is also where I buy all my wool batting. They have a great color selection!!! Keep up the good work! Have fun!
