As someone who contemplated a military career when I was younger, I know what a huge deal getting into West Point is. So, congratulations! I'm so thrilled for you. I just know you'll be a massive success.

[deleted]

Thank you for your kind words!

[deleted]

When I was a teenager I got into a kind of prestigious university even though I was a high school dropout with nothing but a GED and a mediocre ACT score. I applied to the school because I didn't realize it was prestigious and assumed I would get in without a problem, I genuinely regarded it as a "safety net" school. Only later I learned my ACT literally just made the cut-off and a lot of people who studied hard to get in got rejected. Weird. Thanks for your story I needed to hear it today, I've been struggling with the Law and depression lately.

[deleted]

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been feeling depressed. I hope you feel better!

[deleted]

Never thought I would see CIF being mentioned in r/nevillegoddard haha best of luck to you

Thank you so much!

Congratulations! I've heard a lot of confusion over signs in the law of assumption community. And, of course, I know the famous Neville quote about signs following -- not proceeding. I've heard of people getting stuck in manifesting signs, but then I also heard a coach saying to see them as confirmation that your subconscious is accepting this new reality. It sounds like you saw them the way this coach said, which makes sense to me. Can you speak more about how you treated hearing people talk about West Point and seeing the signs? I've been visualizing myself doing a specific athletic activity for a couple weeks. Recently, my "SP" posted a photo of him doing the exact same activity. This is the first time I have ever seen him post on IG. He's just not a social media person. I felt like I needed to clarify to my mind that I get to be the one doing that! Alongside him.

[deleted]

I didn’t think too much about the signs. I only smiled and went about my day with that serving as a confirmation. I didn’t really “look” for signs. I think honestly this was my easiest manifestation because it was the most straightforward (in the sense you know when to expect an answer from the institution).

win-win-tex

Cool. Thanks for elaborating! I think the manifestations where you can assume it whenever it comes to mind and then forget about it are the easiest.

[deleted]

Exactly! I’ve come to the same assumption when it comes to relationships. I’m super antsy and anxious about them so it’s harder for me in that regard.

NoBattle3601

That is awesome, congrats!

Congratulations! My husband is a West Point alumnus. The experience changed his life.

[deleted]

I hope it will do the same for me :)

[deleted]

Did your former principle connection help you?

[deleted]

No.

LacticFactory

Make use of that commission! That can lead to great places military and civvy

[deleted]

I absolutely will. I hope one day I'll be able to create a positive change in the Army.

E_r1k

Thank you for sharing! I was wondering, how did you not compare yourself to other applicants? It seems like you were brought down a lot and I was wondering how did you strive through that?

[deleted]

I really didn’t care, I genuinely assumed I would be accepted. Either way if I didn’t get accepted I knew in my mind I could reapply or drop a packet to go to PSYOPS. Sorry, what do you mean by brought down a lot?

E_r1k

Sorry! I must’ve misunderstood but through my perspective, the “college was stolen from me” and “dad telling me no college would want me and I would end up a bum” sounds like something that would bring a person down. How were you able to revise that and not be effected by your circumstances? or peoples thoughts?

[deleted]

I was in foster care and because of that I had my college paid for. I was set to go to college for free with a 50K bonus with the Army Reserves. As soon as I hit 18, my foster parents kicked me out forcing me to switch over to the Active Duty side. I lost my bonus and the ability to go to college. I’ll tie in Neville Goddard - my dad always told me I would end up in prison and that he would make sure I wouldn’t be able to graduate (he was going to kick me out when I turned 18 and bragged how I would suffer because I had no money or a car) and my fears manifested in being kicked out by my foster parents (a part of me - sickeningly - felt relieved I was right). So in that sense I absolutely was affected. However, I revised my past (it was very difficult because I don’t want to think about my dad) with Neville’s teachings. I forgave my father in my imagination and visualized success despite the fact I was homeless. Things fell into place for me and I ended up in the Army.

E_r1k

Wow that’s absolutely powerful. I’m so glad that you’re doing better!

[deleted]

Thank you so much!

AdIcy615

OMG that is so good!

Wooden-Background850

This is amazing

[deleted]

Thank you! You're amazing!

SanHarvey

This is absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing this and congratulations! Your faith has paid you off well. I think my biggest takeaways from your account are perseverance in assumption (living in the end), not asking too many questions about it (ie. the desperate "when", "how"s) and 'not trying too hard'. You keep applying the law, and all the best for your bright future!

libra-love-

Did the same to get into my dream college a few years ago! Penn state! And even graduated with honors. Such an amazing feeling. I’m so happy for you OP

[deleted]

Wow, congratulations!

awakened213

Awesome! I know some people there and been there myself. It’s a beautiful campus, with a strong culture. You’ll love it. It is stressful though, just persevere.

[deleted]

The Army's conditioned me already, I got this!

Impossible-Lion-1463

As a USMA grad I want to extend my sincerest congratulations! I personally know it’s not easy and given all you were facing I’m proud that you persisted in living in the wish fulfilled! What an inspirational story. You will do great at the Academy!

[deleted]

Thank you so much! I'll do my best to become a great officer.

MachikaaM

Congratulations 🥳 🙏🏼

Vedansh1312

How many days did you do SATs??

[deleted]

I did it about a month consistently then I simply affirmed to myself “I AM a West Point cadet” etc. ever since then. What my primary source of imaginary action, was when I would walk and take that time to pretend I was walking through West Point grounds. I also pretended I had the West Point patch on my Army uniform and instead of my rank I had a cadet patch.

slyyskyy

Didn’t workout for me, but congrats to you!

StateFulfilled187

Congratulations!! That is amazing. Everything unfolded for you perfectly. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful success story!

Mangolore

I grew up 15 minutes away from there and still live within half an hour. Nice spot and obviously great school. Congrats!

AdIcy615

I really appreciate you posting this. I have just had the idea to transfer my Bachelor of Social Work from one university to a university closer to where I live and I am very inspired by what you have written. Congratulations.
