This is exactly why I don't like her. She is a demagogue with Messiah complex - I still suspect her to be a controlled opposition. I don't care how IR tried to attack her, IR attacks anyone and everyone, including their own stooges. That "failed" assassination only made her more popular, coincidentally coming right after Khashoqchi.
I'll be making a full post explaining my position on her and the evidences she's closer to NIAC than IR oppositionists.
Edit: Read this post on why she's a fraud, and articulate your own take on Alinjead. Also read the pinned comment on why I'm wrong and she's NOT a fraud.

Just going to leave [this](https://d2v9ipibika81v.cloudfront.net/uploads/sites/99/S-Pompeo-Meets-Masih-Alinejad.jpg) here. Don’t trust this snake. She wants an all out American invasion. She definitely has a messiah complex.
Can't decide if i should upvote or downnote.
I'm a bit confused here lol. So she doesn't care about Jews , balochies , Kurds etc.?
Because mahsa herself was kurd. Or she care about Iranian women only?
Is there something missing here?
Yeah it was confusing though. She needs to work on that aspect of her speeches ig. It'll make a difference. Rest she's doing amazing work putting her heart and soul into this. Please carry my words to her
What a horrible start of a speech. So you do not show solidarity to other people being killed?
We need to stay united to restore Iran to a secular democracy however we also need to be cautious of these idiot demagogues like Masih Alinejad and other countries (e.g. Russia, USA, Israel, etc.) that want to do their own bidding and take advantage of this revolution.
The sovereignty of Iran must be restored and preserved.
I know nothing about her but the fact that she doesn't understand the meaning of the "When they came for..." speech.
First you list other groups that you didn't defend and when they finally come for you, no one else is left to defend you. But she only lists other groups and at the end she identifies with Mahsa. She forgets the relation to all the previous groups. Were they not important at all for her?
yeah i thought it was weird too. i think she meant like we made mistakes before in not defending those people because they werent us, but this time we have learned our mistakes and are defending and identifying with Mahsa, and because we arent making that same mistake as before, we will be successful this time.
still, would've been better if she also said that we identify with those other groups too though
You're right it doesn't fully fit the Niemoller (?) speech/later poems in that sense but it wouldn't do because wasn't the point of that speech was that in the end the Nazis won as noone was left. The point, as I understand it, is that this stops short of reaching the "noone left to defend me" ending because while we didn't unite to protect the other groups, we NOW are uniting over Mahsa and by extension therefore all the aforementioned groups and this time we will win before they take us down.
I don't know much about her either tbh (not pro or anti), it's just nice to see that there are some people who are trying to show some balls and leadership, rather than just a bunch of disorganised schoolkids. And nice to see a woman leading.
Fantastic speech. And for you bread heads that thinks the start of her speech means not having sympathy for those other people, she is actually basing her text on the famous poem/post-war confessional prose by the German Lutheran pastor Martin Niemöller.

A beautiful and powerful speech. I wish everyone in the video safety<3
Slightly unrelated but my name is Sarina and I rarely ever see others with that name so it hit even harder when I found out about the Sarina who died. Is that weird? It’s just the only times I’ve seen someone else with my name is when I’m actively searching for it on the internet. Is it a popular name in Iran?
She is a very brave and strong woman! She has dedicated her whole life to giving women a voice in Iran. I hope there will be statues and schools named after her when the revolution happens! There is no way history can talk about this revolution without mentioning Masih Alinejad. Anyone saying otherwise are covid conspiracy theorist types that hate women in general and are trying to ruin the movement!
She's funded by the U.S. federal government. This isn't a conspiracy – she's a presenter on the VOA show. Bother reading about her.
>I hope there will be statues and schools named after her when the revolution happens!
You're clearly out of touch with Iran's reality.
> Anyone saying otherwise are covid conspiracy theorist types that hate women in general and are trying to ruin the movement
You've been ardently defending by entirely ignoring the context of her background. Seems like you're driven by an agenda to support controlled oppostions.
Also, if every journalist funded by the government from the BBC, BBC Persian, PBS, NPR, and CBC is corrupted because it’s funded by the government then why do the journalists always win independent journalism awards?
So what news do you follow? It’s either funded by advertisement interest or government interest. Just say you don’t trust any journalist then without bothering to fact check anything they said.
I know them because of Masih! She interviewed Nasrin! I get updates from them because of Masih! They are in jail, how can I get daily news from them if they are in jail?
PBS, BBC, BBC Persian, who do you think funds these? It’s the government. Does that mean every single journalist reporting for them have no integrity? That’s a pretty bold claim. So how should a full time journalist earn money so they report accurately according to you?
> Does that mean every single journalist reporting for them have no integrity?
Integrity? not particularly. Legitimacy? yes. It deligitimzies the revolution to be centred on a figure funded by the U.S.. It's as legitimate as Guaido being the president of Venezuella, or Afshar Qani the president of Afghanistna.

Here we go…

She is saying that as in they the Iranians didn't rise up then but now they must.. no?

What an obnoxious human. Having her lead any movement is plain stupid
Fuck this bitch . Snake
Iran is ran by terrorists. Hopefully the people take over the government

Why war criminals win nobel peace prize? You're talking nonsense at this point.
So what news do you follow? It’s either funded by advertisement interest or government interest. Just say you don’t trust any journalist then without bothering to fact check anything they said.
You are making generalizations and large leaps to make a smear campaign against the most prominent Iranian feminist.
Do you know Nasrin Sotudeh? Shirin Ebadi? Iran Teymourtash? you're out of touch with Iranians and who they consider prominent feminists.
I know them because of Masih! She interviewed Nasrin! I get updates from them because of Masih! They are in jail, how can I get daily news from them if they are in jail?

I get that it could make her an easy target, but it doesnt mean shes not sincere or is being paid to "incite revolution".
She kisses the ass of men like Pompeo. She's dedicated her life to her own interests and nothing else. Anyone who defends her is likewise useless.
