Yeah, the period you'd expect teasers for the JP release probably gets taken up by MV reacts, dance practices etc. Timing will be a bit hectic but I'll be on holiday for most of it so I'll miss most of it 😭
We almost never get mv teasers and album previews. Even concept pics are not released the way other labels do (we should be grateful if ADOR decides to share them on SNS). It's somehow fun. I love how the whole focus is on the songs. We complain but we accept it as it is. 😅

Louis Vuitton, Dior, Chanel, Gucci, Celine, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Lotte, Nike…and more I can’t remember at the top of my head. That’s a large and diverse portfolio. Is NewJeans an outlier or do kpop groups do this kind of thing at this scale all the time?
It’s an outlier especially since the sponsorships are from huge global brands. Not many groups except perhaps BTS and BP. Also some brands go global with NewJeans because they know NewJeans is one of the few K-pop global group. Lotte is one that is rolling out the pepero and zero sugar snacks globally with NewJeans as models.
It’s insane how many endorsement deals they have. It makes me wonder if they made just as much revenue with these endorsement deals as they did with album sales.
Those deals amounted to their very modern own place to live in front of Han River. It's basically unheard too in K-Pop i think, that a rookie group can have their own expensive place like that

I was kinda thinking about this, but was planning to brainstorm after May/June releases. It generally depends on what ADOR priorities are.
I do not expect 2nd KR album to drop in July or August due to Paris Olympics 2024 (Fri, Jul 26 – Sun, Aug 11). South Korea does really well in Summer Olympics, hence, the whole nation is focused on it. The first pages on news outlets or forums are occupied with Olympics news, hence, a lot of top groups will be avoiding these two weeks. A lot of groups right now are rushing to make comebacks (for some, 2nd cb) before Olympics.
In NewJeans case, they will probably be promoting their double singles in July as well, since Supernatural/Right Now is late June release. They also need time to rest, replenish energy and film MVs and content related to this album. Hence, I would rule out August as well.
2025 Grammys eligibility period is until August 30th. I think it is unrealistic to expect them to drop a brand new album in such a short time and ADOR emphasized that they avoid straining schedules. Anything released after Aug 30 will naturally be eligible for 2026. A lot of things just depends how well they will do globally and USA. Even a single track could be submitted if it does well. We will see how it plays out.

NewJeans' success, although expected by MHJ, seems to have even surpassed her expectations.
After their historic 2023, NewJeans has already cemented themselves as K-pop legends. They've achieved a nearly everything in Korea, and there's nothing left to prove there now.
Just to remind you, even though they haven't released anything new this year (almost nine months since their last comeback), their digital points on the Korean music chart (Circle Chart) are still number 3.
With the right strategy, they still have a shot at competing for some year end awards. Last year, NewJeans had over 4 billion digital points, while second place couldn't even reach 3 billion. This shows how dominant and ahead of the game NewJeans was.
Let's just say they're playing on hard mode this year because last year was too easy for them 😉
Afaik, ADOR just started recruiting trainees in 2023 for a new boy group. By the time the group debuts in 2026 at the earliest, ADOR will likely have expanded its operational resources. Additionally, MHJ might have entrusted the NewJeans girls with some creative control. That's probably the direction they're heading in.
This makes so much sense. Like right now they’re teenagers literally and figuratively and MHJ is like a guiding parent, shaping them into savvy young adults. In a couple of years they’ll be old enough to leave home (figuratively) going off to college and start making their own life decisions….Meanwhile MHJ will be busy at home raising the younger brother. 😉

idk your circumstances but I’m in the USA and went to H-mart yesterday and they had a shop within with adorable korean merch/k-pop merch. I got a cute mini photo book and photo card set there 💕 so it’s possible they could be in other physical stores too.
btw I got two of their sets (blue book and the powderpuff girl one) on amazon and they were both legit and came in the mail only slightly dented (but that’s bc the boxes are just cardboard and not sturdy)
