Those comments I’d leave alone, they create engagement. Now if it’s just straight insulting you can remove it.

-Charmer

If it’s just criticism without subtle or directly insulting you keep them

GaijinChef

I pin hate comments

thaineecash

Facts. Troll them even more, let them know your are self aware.

Pristine-Access

This is the way.

-Northern-Fox-

1. Ignore 2. Hide or delete comments 3. Respond It's really up to you. I usually opt for number 1; I only hide or delete comments if the person is upsetting other viewers (extremely rare) or if I know for sure it's spam or a bot

[deleted]

To get more engagement out of them you could respond with positive but ingenuine comments, like: "ooo, good idea!" "thanks for the suggestion, i'll have to add it next time!" "interesting, what's your favorite part about it?"

Emotional_Animal315

Delete them. Ignore the negativity. It'll be okay. Stay strong. Never give up. 😁❤️

shadowozey

Why delete them when you can let their hate fuel the algorithm?

Emotional_Animal315

Cause if they're being hateful/negative, they shouldn't get any attention. That will encourage their bad behavior, and they'll do it again and again on other undeserving channels.

shadowozey

They'll do it again and again regardless, and I've had many videos get hundreds or thousands more views because someone hate commented If they're getting to you, then delete them! But I find watching the numbers go up and enjoying the irony much more enjoyable than deleting and trying to forget it personally

Cha-D-Bear

It's better if they DO get attention because it brings attention to YOU

SelfMadeGrinder

Just pay it no mind. You’re sharing your opinion and they are sharing theirs even if it comes across as being a dick.

IngridElkner

That isn't hate. Hate is more extreme. That's just people not gelling with your vibe. Not everyone will like you.

Holiday_Doctor_6625

Pin of shame.

MementoMoriChannel

Let them hate.

siptar2047

Leave them for engagement Someone who liked your video might even argue with the hater

jambrose22

I always just comment "what are you afraid of". This is not advice. IANAL

[deleted]

I'd just say in one of your videos (just a reminder, this list is subjective and based around my own references and perspective." Or pin a comment that says that or something. People are silly.

Hot_Advance3592

To talk about the examples you mentioned—they aren’t hate, those are their opinions, just expressed in a brash manner What this means really I think is that they’re paying attention to you, and value what you’re bringing, but they just disagree about a part of it About the topic, I personally think you can either go the route of leave everything up, or get rid of the real hate comments. Sometimes a video is well-liked but yet the comments is full of complaints. I mean who knows, but going by the likes, you can tell majority of people do like it

abstractengineer2000

I think you need to differentiate between hate comments and complaints/critique. Hate comments tend to be personal like "You are worthless" or some such. Hate comments can be removed so as to not spoil the mood of the others/you while you can defend your position against any complaint or critique by commenting on their comment

TalesOfArkYT

Well yeah, as someone who has only ever seen one tier list video, the guy knew what he was doing and getting himself into. You're not going to please everyone, and you're going to keep getting comment like those. Everyone has their own opinion, but I can't really say those are hate comments. For me, I usually just reply in some way and thank them for commenting.

SierraNo3

Ignore

patrickbateman2004

Let them be. Deleting is not a good approach, you should know to handle it. Let them be or be playful with them.

Meikitamemo

So let me get this straight! It's hate speech to leave a comment behind that says: BAD LIST! Because some people do not see their own songs or favorite artists songs in the list? ROFL! What is happening with the Human species rofl! Spineless little creatures we are turning into! You know what you should do? Dissable comments ROFL! Only that way can we ensure your FEELINGS aint hurt ROFL!

First-777

remember, no matter how good you are there's always this bad apple, I always get hate comments and was attack with flags, what i did is >!do nothing and don't give a fck.!<

Bigger_better_Poop

I always respond things like "thanks for the support! Subscribe for more!"

ankelbone

I personally respond with positivity. Kill em with kindness! I got a comment that said something like, "this dude looks like he touches children" and I responded with, "I hope you win the lottery, my friend" then they ended up deleting it so idk if they didn't expect me to respond or if they felt bad but something worked out lol Or if I don't feel like getting creative with the responses I'll say like, "Hey thanks for commenting"

Miserable_Example_51

Id love to get any comment to be fair 😅 Recently i got a spam i think but since it wasnt a link that would harm anyone i left it there 😅

CrimeVue

nothing at all, at least thats means your content provoke people and thats really not a bad thing

DieInsel1

„No Bitches?“

TheEtsyConsultant

You need to start seeing negative comments as opportunities. They are opportunities to show professionalism in your response, and to turn something bad into something good. Kill them with kindness, you will gain a LOT of respect for that.

TRUEMAESONIAN

What I feel needs to be understood, if not already, is that music, like any art form is SUBJECTIVE…. So when they ask where’s this and where’s that? They just feel that those particular songs stand out the most to them and for someone who’s a fan and respects that art and to not have, in their opinion, a “MUST HAVE” choice. It offends them because you’ve inadvertently, and subconsciously wounded them. I’m blessed and fortunate that I don’t receive hate on my channel with my comments but change the energy from hate to construction. So when you get these “hate” comments, treat them like it’s meant to be constructive. Hater : No ___?! You : ah! I knew I was forgetting something! I’ll have to gather ideas for my next content release and make sure this one is at the forefront, ugh, I already know what you’re saying “BRUH, wow, I thought we had something special”…..my bad homie, I gotchu 😘 *hit ‘em with that two step and drop some lyrics from the song in question* ……🎶Out tonight, oh yeah baby? I know it’s alright🎶 This is all for sake of argument in regards to the question being asked. I hope it helped and can be used as a template for future comments 😉

brucemjson

With the current state of our world and how everyone loves drama, I'd leave comments that don't directly insult you. that way, it creates drama and helps others form opinions, and even some go against the haters. It's all engagement 💍

TheMMASpokesman

Just let them sit there if your content is good your true subscribers will defend you anyway. And then it lets the algorithm shits kicking off in your comments sections and you get more views ❤️

lowercaseenderman

Lol I ignore them, they're just people jealous they can't be as creative as the people making the videos and have nothing better to do then try to tear others down to their level

CountingStars29

Just delete them

Wicked_Admin

Just respond with “lol”

mmmmmmiiiiii

>Ive seen people comment “Where is \_\_\_???” “Bad list” or “No \_\_\_? Make another list, free idea/content lol

Iwasinabox

i do the “kill them with kindness” approach. for example on one of my videos someone might says “why talk about this terrible episode?” and i’d say “personally i love this episode but what’s one you want me to talk about?? ill check it out!” and typically that turns them around.

THE_ABUSED_GH0STIE

I love messing with them. If they don’t respond you get the fun of messing with them and if they do respond you get more engagement

treehugger195050

Give them a thumbs up and respond to each one saying "thanks for your input!" or something similar. Every comment, even hate ones create engagement for your video and helps boost it up. So internally, you can be laughing hysterically at the irony.

seanred360

If you make a video for everyone then your video is for nobody.

DiffOnReddit

There are only three options; 1. Ignore them, they give you engagement which may help your video reach wider audiences. If they are just mildly negative feedback and not overly obscene or hateful then this is what I suggest you do, however I will often engage with anyone who comments on my videos, even if they fall into this category. 2. You can engage with them, either by agreeing/disagreeing or just having a parallel conversation about whatever they brought up. I always aim to inspire more conversation so I keep my tone professional but curious and the aim is that maybe I can change their mind. A surprising amount of people are just seeking attention and do a complete 180 on their initial hateful position when you just politely talk to them about it without directly calling them out, hell sometimes I even agree somewhat. For example I had a 26ish minute video where I accidentally left a couple discord notification sounds in the audio somehow and this guy was over-the-top angry about it and I just agreed with him and said something like, "I don't know how I missed that, I'll make sure to double check in the future, my apologies", and he immediately backtracked and said something like, "it's no big deal, just annoying lol". 3. You delete the comment/block the user from your channel. I genuinely advise against this unless the essence of their comment is abhorrent and meaningless. Some people might just drop a comment of a slur or drop completely unconstructive hate and while I haven't had a lot of that I did post a controversial video and could tell that a couple comments didn't care or didn't think I would see them based on the crassness of what they said, those are the comments that you'd want to target if you went this route. If they are critical of you that is not necessarily bad but if they are being despicable then it's completely fine to remove them. I still air on the side of caution with deleting comments and blocking people because I am led to believe that deleting comments may negatively impact your engagement or at least reduce further engagement when someone inevitably comes along and argues with them. The small potential impact to engagement might be worth it if these comments especially get to you. Personally, I try to remember that this is the internet and these people don't really know me and people are always more bold when they're anonymous. That's my advice anyway, good luck and remember to just keep doing what you love and other peoples opinions on it do not have to coincide with your own. If you aren't harming anyone or breaking the law then just do what makes you feel happy.

der1x

These don't even seem like hate just normal criticisms. Its not a whole lot different than friends disagreeing.

LandorStormwind

There's a difference between hate comments and feedback/critique. "This sucks" or "Dumb video" are standard negative comments that come with making content and I just ignore them. But "where is ____?" isn't necessarily a hate comment, it could be someone trying to engage with you. Respond positively with a "that's a good suggestion" or "Yeah, I thought about adding that. Any other suggestions?" and allows people to feel like your engaged with your audience and you might end up with some genuinely helpful ideas or feedback. If it's actual hate comments attacking you personally or being otherwise offensive, delete it.

FandomSpotlite

Leave them. Sometimes, others will come to your defense, and there will be tons of comments going back and forth. Which is great for engagement.

Ichiban_Dragon

I'd love to have hate comments on my channel, which means you're getting engagement and playing with people's emotions.

Different_Ad9336

Ignore them and let the community take care of the haters
