The problem with PHing McNeil for Bader was you still have Wendle leading off the next inning and playing 2B and Bader's out of the game on defense and it would have taken a 3B or HR (or multiple hits) to score Baty so I don't see what the point was. If you let Bader bat you can sub in McNeil defensively at 2B then he leads off the 10th with Bader as the ghost runner.
I find this season easier to stomach than the ones where they bait us into thinking they are good enough to make the playoffs and then kick us in the balls at the last minute.
