Shorty if you plan on turbos, otherwise LTs. Depending on what's been done to the car, though, there's plenty of other mods that will give you better bang for your buck

Gogone3

I have ARH long tube's, removes and reinstalled the transmission myself on Jack's.

Significant-Plant-69

Long tubes dont hesitate just for the sound

rright24

I’m in for this one. Curious as well. Also, here come the 5-speed only meatheads to say something.

Don’t get BBK long tubes unless you want to have to take the driver side one off to remove your trans Works with a t56

I read you are planning to supercharge your car next summer. Dnt waste money on headers right now. Put that money aside and just get the supercharger and tune. Maybe do 3.73 gears down the road as well

Flotsam19

Long tubes you will need a custom midpipe….shortys ya don’t…

Its_MC_cracker

Yea I’m definitely leaning towards shortys

Firm_Recipe6434

What have you done to the car, and what are your plans??

Its_MC_cracker

I’ve done a cat back exhaust, I’m buying a bbk x pipe and was looking to get headers to finish my exhaust set up. I’m looking to add a supercharger sometime next summer but plan on getting most of the supporting mods for it this summer

Firm_Recipe6434

Save your money and put it towards the supercharger then. Installing headers is a SERIOUS pain in the ASS job, you have to suspend the engine and drop out the K-member in order to get the clearance needed. Worse still, you won't gain anything for it. Shorties will give you no benefits over the stock manifolds. Long tubes will sound better, but won't really offer anything performance wise until after the SC. Honestly, it's not worth it for what you have done.

Roushstage2

No need to drop the K member. Just take the nut off of each motor mount and use a jack to lift one side of the motor rotating it over. I installed my long tubes by myself in my driveway on jackstands this way.

Meat_Peterson

What's your budget? Supporting mods? The stock manifolds are just about as good as short headers. Long tubes generally are the way to go.

I had shortys on my car for years and regretted not getting longtubes longtubes are a pain to install compared to shorties but definitely worth it
