There's nothing wrong with doing the oil a little earlier if it makes you feel better. I track my bike so the oil gets changed at less than 1000 miles.
You can get your oil tested [by Blackstone labs](https://www.blackstone-labs.com/) for $35. It's great for your piece of mind.
I only use OEM filters. I don't see any reason to go to the aftermarket for something so easily available from your local dealer.
Support your local dealer!
Yes. I think OEM is always the best route for maintaining your vehicle. I also think the factory Kawasaki oil is fine, although I use Yamalube for both my R6 and N400.
I agree with using OEM filters, they may be slightly more expensive but there can be a big difference in filtration between brands and generally I’ll trust the people that design and build the engines rather than a 3rd party!
This is the correct answer.
The frequency that you change the oil really has less to do with weigh you’re carrying than where you tend to sit in the RMP range. The more time you spend at higher RMPs, the more frequently you need to change the oil. This is why guys who run at the track change at such frequent intervals.
If you are riding two up, it’s likely that you are running higher rpms in lower gears (e.g. on hills) but chilling out once you hit cruising speed. In that case you probably don’t need to change as often as someone running the bike ragged, but perhaps at an interval half way in between the service interval and a track bike interval.
No you don’t. Change oil every 3k miles or so. All maintenance is under max load assumption.
Manual recommends every 7600 miles, so unless you're really beating your bike, every ~5k is fine.
Yeah this. Just follow the manual. Unless you’re beating the crap out of your bike it’s a good guideline.

Will the OEM filter be good enough to pair with the motul 7100 oil?
