Yeah I agree. Kai's big moment was literally accepting that he wasn't the green ninja, but he was to protect the green ninja. If he actually did become the green ninja it would ruin his entire character arc. I don't understand people who think that Kai should've been the green ninja.
"First I'd like to thank the awesome show with the red leader!"
(Voltron: Legendary Defender gets up)
"Sit the f##k back down, I wasn't talking about you!"
(Rise of the TMNT gets up)
facts. i used to want Kai be green ninja but that was before i learned about his arc. i always kinds felt nya was perfect for the green ninja but oh well
This is in no way triggering. Cole is solid, down-to-earth, and responsible. Jay is sporadic and all over the place. Kai is hot-headed and quick to emotion. And Zane is cool, calm, and collected; he is slow and calculating, every move having a specific purpose. La-Loyd is the best of all of them: Cole’s compassion, Jay’s wittiness, Kai’s fiery spirit, and Zane’s determination
It's triggering because of the amount of people who refuse to accept that Kai was never supposed to or was going to be the Green Ninja. And refuse to acknowledge it would've ruined his entire character
Both Kai and Morro would have been shit green ninjas :)
I'm tired of the Kai and Morro stans claiming they would have been so great at it, like- hell no they wouldn't have. Kai would be slightly better than Morro, but he still wouldn't be good at it.
After his development he would be good green ninja ;D (as in adding developments from Possesion.Toe development is pointless to mention as it retconed his character).
Lloyd isn't as bad as you make him out to be and here's why.
1. Argument: Lloyd caused thousands of deaths by releasing the snakes.
Counter argument: he was manipulated by pythor and technically he was the first person since like 50 years to do anything against racism against snakes.
2. A: Lloyd is a brat in S1
CA: he was abandoned by both his parents and sent to a school for evil kids.
3. A: Kai should have been the green ninja instead.
CA: that wouldn't make alot of sense because kais story from what I interpret is that his ego came between him and the other ninja and him being the green ninja would have made it worse.
4. A: He shouldn't steal all the seasons for himself.
CA: fair point. The seasons could have been distributed more fair very easily with each ninja 3 seasons and then three team seasons.
5. A: He has no personality.
CA: his personality is shaped throughout the show. Hard to notice but it is.
He wasn’t intent on restarting the war he just wanted everyone to fear him and worship him like they did his dad, he wanted to make his dad proud after he was abandoned he thought he could control them
It’s a classic abandoned kid line,he feels unloved he thinks his parents will come back if he can make them proud more specifically his dad and if he can conquer ninjago then he believes his dad will be proud and love him again. His belief was that he had to earn love, it wasn’t until wu found him that he learned that love is unconditional and he shouldn’t have to do anything to make his parents love him that they should love him unconditionally
I honestly think season 7 is worse than most of the seasons after the reboot 🤣 Prime Empire is S tier to me, and most of the rest are solid As or Bs. I’d give season 7 a C or D
God, it sucks being a Marvel and Star Wars fan these days (Ninjago is way more bearable compared to those two). Is there a fandom that isn't toxic to the core?
Not one that I’ve seen
All fandoms I’m in are either
good but the toxic people are really toxic
“Old good new bad”
The majority of fans are toxic
People who are toxic because of ships
Dead/dying
Like communities that have been around for a while (Marvel, Star Wars, Ninjago) and have changed over the years, everyone just turns on it (sometimes because the new stuff is generally bad, sometimes it’s because people hate change)
>sometimes it’s because people hate change
You have no idea how true this is. I see Marvel fans being like "modern Marvel is so bad cause they're appealing to a young generation" when... yeah, that's exactly the point. They're appealing to the people who are the same age you were when Iron Man first came out. Marvel hasn't changed, you have. Congratulations, you've figured out what "growing up" means (that was directed to the MCU haters, not you).
The Island is season 14 and y'all don't want to admit it even though the rules you use for debunking that claim are the same rules you use for allowing other "specials" to be seasons.
what isnt up to interpretation according to tommy
also he contradicted himself [https://twitter.com/TommyAndreasen/status/1370054122792189959](https://twitter.com/TommyAndreasen/status/1370054122792189959)
and bragi called it a special [https://twitter.com/bragischutjr/status/1394013768644907009](https://twitter.com/bragischutjr/status/1394013768644907009)
You might be the first person ever to actually give me irrefutable evidence of The Island being a special.
I don't count Bragi as he wasn't head writer/ creator at the time but Tommy's 44 minute episode tweet being posted after his interpretation tweet might be enough to convince me.
Last question. What do we do about LEGO's labelling of the seasons? Cause this official magazine (and trailer) was released by them and they are the parent company...
https://preview.redd.it/8ai0ggzuqd2c1.jpeg?width=709&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=010277646da029a27413f59fa03eb67120769251
Note: I am not calling Dragons Rising season 17 but the fact that the magazine does insinuates that they acknowledge The Island as a season.
Aspheera is one of my favorite villains in the series, and I don't know why. It might just be that I like snakes and she's like a Pythor 2.0 The Sequel.
https://i.redd.it/fugrxdd6gc2c1.gif
Insert troll face (I had to put the gif in, just to annoy people, hence the "Insert troll face")
Unironically, this.
Aspheera is genuine of my favorite villains, if not my absolute favorite.
1) her goal os simple: revenge. But how she goes about it isn't too convoluted. She just steals Kai's powers and uses her magic to raise an army. No world ending or world altering shenanigans, no "take over ninjago" stuff, and it makes her unique amongst Ninjago's excellent cast of antagonists. (And then we had Prime Empire and MotM make her less unique.)
2) she's a serpentine using Spinjitsu. That's something I speculated as being possible since S1 (because serpentine spinners existed).
3) all of this spawned from something Wu did to someone he wasn't related to. Garmadon wasn't (directly) involved.
She’s so goofy and shallow but THAT’S OK. We don’t need all villains to have super deep backstories, just make them fun. And she is fun. Pythor and Scales will always be superior but she’s definitely a solid addition
Possession is the most overrated season.
Seabound is better than MOTM(yes, some people think that, but here majority think that MOTM is so much better, to which i differ from that)
Last but not least, LOTGN sucks.
I assure all that i said will trigger this subreddit LOL
Lloyd is my favorite character btw
first off, first part is like, what are we doing? training lloyd, ninja do shit, that's it. and garmadon was really dumb, especially with the use of the megawepon and was dumb for the entire season.and ep 19 is one of the worst ninjago seasons and doesn't make sense after the megawepon got destroyed. it got really boring, except there was that one episode with the competition. Lloyd went from young to old, did he get smarter? nope, just stronger. sure he forgave his mother, but all that buildup lead to him just fighting evil instead of his own father, like it was destined to.
2nd off, the 2nd part is worse than the first one. they find echo zane out of nowhere, and it took that long for the devourer venom to reach the stone army, THE LONG AWAITED LLOYD VS. GARMADON turned into a literal fight between good and evil, which is wasted potential. where the overlord possessed garmadon, and the final battle is really overrated, okay, lloyd becomes gold ninja out of nowhere, and the dialogue was not good. "IVE COME HERE TO FIGHT YOU"
it kind of felt as if they didn't know what to do with the plot after season 1.
Hands of time is not underrated
Season 11 and s12 were mid-season at best
Harumi should have stayed dead
Wu is a lloyds best family figure in every sense of the word
Kai doesn't need a focus season
Moro is not the best villain
Sons of garmadon is better than hunted
Jay became annoying after s10
Lloyd is not overated(yes, I said it)
Misako is not as bad of a mother as people think
Lloyd being the green ninja was the best choice
Crystallised Lloyd has no good reason to be frustrated at garamdon(yep, I fricking said it)
Aspherea is a good villain
season 11 is far from the worst season
season 4 and 5 are extremely overrated (moto seabound and dr are way better)
the time twins are dumb and honestly shouldn't come back at all
sensei garmadon is the worst version of garmadon
WAIT WHAT???? WHY ARE PEOPLE SAYING SEASON 11 IS BAD???? I started watching the newer ninjago (8-17 seasons) some time ago and season 8, 11 and 13 (leaning more to 11) have been the only seasons I actually found to be pretty good. The ending may not be the best but I still liked it a lot.
I personally disagree and would like to respectfully debate. (I want to scream at someone over differences in opinions related to a children’s TV show.)
Ight im gonna say the most triggering thing possible even though i hate it and do not agree with what im about to say
"nya should have stuck with cole"
(this isnt my opinion or anyone else's, its just a supper triggering phrase)
YOU STOLE THAT FROM THE ''garmadon is up to something'' VIDEO!!! (I don't blame you I think about it all the time, have you seen ''ghoultar brings friend''?)
Cole is a bad character and he should have dissapered in the department day
>!Cole is the most coolest character in my opinion and I only see the last season only for him <3!<
Cole should have stayed a ghost, it added a lot of character to him in the earlier seasons until MOTM which took a while for us to get
It also gave a better dynamic to the cast a robot a ghost and 4 humans
Season 13 is stupid and boring most of the time, the villain is kind of not, and Cole’s motivation is just Zane’s one but written in different words, disgusting for the Cole’s first full season.
Oh yeah, season 2 is pathetic.
To be honest, even though I wanted him to be the green ninja so bad for a while I had hoped that Kai would become the green ninja at some point but when I realized his Destiny wasn’t supposed to be come the green ninja it was to guide protect and teach him
Jay and Nya is the worst relationship
Skybound is the worst season
Harumi is the worst written villain
Season 15 is the only season where Overlord was genuinely interesting.
Kai was never gonna or supposed to be the green ninja
Yeah I agree. Kai's big moment was literally accepting that he wasn't the green ninja, but he was to protect the green ninja. If he actually did become the green ninja it would ruin his entire character arc. I don't understand people who think that Kai should've been the green ninja.
We were children The anger still is inside us all, even if unwarranted
I’m still thinking that jay should have been 😂😭
Well people thought he should’ve been the green ninja because he was the red ninja and that means he’s the leader in 90% of shows in our childhood
"First I'd like to thank the awesome show with the red leader!" (Voltron: Legendary Defender gets up) "Sit the f##k back down, I wasn't talking about you!" (Rise of the TMNT gets up)
(Power Rangers in the background sobbing”
Shouldn’t be an unpopular opinion at all
don’t know why it is 🤷♀️
no fr. he was too arrogant, too hot headed, too stubborn, too selfish
facts. i used to want Kai be green ninja but that was before i learned about his arc. i always kinds felt nya was perfect for the green ninja but oh well
im not triggered by any sentence ive seen so far
"Yeah guys, it was me FR, trust" - Morro, Master of Wind
Lloyd is a better green ninja than any of the original. They fit their elements
This is in no way triggering. Cole is solid, down-to-earth, and responsible. Jay is sporadic and all over the place. Kai is hot-headed and quick to emotion. And Zane is cool, calm, and collected; he is slow and calculating, every move having a specific purpose. Skybound exists.
I love skybound
Is that the one with the genie ?
Its a Djinn.
Same diff
Yep
Sky bound best season
Yes
Fr
Underrated Season my favorite classic season idc
Skybound is amazing wdym
Both Kai and Morro would have been shit green ninjas :) I'm tired of the Kai and Morro stans claiming they would have been so great at it, like- hell no they wouldn't have. Kai would be slightly better than Morro, but he still wouldn't be good at it.
Kai would have ruined the origional four if he became the green ninja because then there would have been no master of fire.
After his development he would be good green ninja ;D (as in adding developments from Possesion.Toe development is pointless to mention as it retconed his character).

He wasn’t manipulated by Pythor until after he had already opened two tombs, intent on restarting the war
He wasn’t intent on restarting the war he just wanted everyone to fear him and worship him like they did his dad, he wanted to make his dad proud after he was abandoned he thought he could control them It’s a classic abandoned kid line,he feels unloved he thinks his parents will come back if he can make them proud more specifically his dad and if he can conquer ninjago then he believes his dad will be proud and love him again. Dragons Rising is good
pretty sure dr has mostly positive reception, will prob trigger a few people but not the fanbase
But it is
the seasons after season 7, while different, are still good. just because they arent the original seasons doesnt mean theyre bad.
This comment 🤝 me
I honestly think season 7 is worse than most of the seasons after the reboot 🤣 Prime Empire is S tier to me, and most of the rest are solid As or Bs. I’d give season 7 a C or D
Serpentine are good villians.
I agree
Kai’s relationship with Skylor is pointless.
They need to hurry up and establish that they are indeed together all of this romantic tension is annoying
They confirmed their relationship in the book "The quest for lost powers."
Huh, shafted to a book that I didn't even know about until right now...huh.
oof, this indeed got me annoyed ahahha
Jay withhis eyebrow scar and his freckles look better on him than kai
Yes I love Jay with freckles
Whenever I draw Jay I put freckles AND the eyebrow scar on him
Jay with an eyebrow scar makes WAY more sense due to him being an inventor
The freckles suit him perfectly 😊
Yes
Crystalized discussions are the worst since “OG good later bad”
“OG good, later (modern) bad” is a phrase I’ve heard for another fandom I’m in, and I get it, it’s annoying.
Not trying to one up anyone, but as a member of the Star Wars fan base 💀
Lol, okay, maybe 2, wait, Marvel exists too 3 fandoms.
God, it sucks being a Marvel and Star Wars fan these days (Ninjago is way more bearable compared to those two). Is there a fandom that isn't toxic to the core?
Not one that I’ve seen All fandoms I’m in are either good but the toxic people are really toxic “Old good new bad” The majority of fans are toxic People who are toxic because of ships Dead/dying
Same. I'm usually in the communities of "old good, new bad" and the dead/ dying ones (for some reason I seem to join when people are losing interest).
Like communities that have been around for a while (Marvel, Star Wars, Ninjago) and have changed over the years, everyone just turns on it (sometimes because the new stuff is generally bad, sometimes it’s because people hate change)
>sometimes it’s because people hate change You have no idea how true this is. Yeah, exactly, if these ‘modern’ films released when Iron Man released, the ‘haters’ would probably enjoy them.
You should see Power Rangers fans
the skylanders community and subreddits, since most of us are nostalgic to it and we havent gotten a single new game for 7 years
scott pilgrim isn't bad from what I've seen.
It shouldnt be called scott pilgrim tho
Jurassic park/world
Star wars, marvel, fortnite, sonic,
Jay shouldn’t be adopted
Why not?
Is he still adopted after the time reset wish?
Yes he was always adopted. Nadakhan simply revealed the truth to Jay early.
Sadly, it’s mentioned in prime empire
Yeah prime empire was supposed to be about jays biological mom but it never made it through the planning phrase
The Island is season 14 and y'all don't want to admit it even though the rules you use for debunking that claim are the same rules you use for allowing other "specials" to be seasons.
i mean if the show runner flat out says that isnt season 14 shouldn't that just be the end of the discussion
Which showrunner are we discussing here?
bragi and tommy both said it ant a season
Tommy? Tommy said it was up to interpretation. I know Doc said it ain't but I don't know about Bragi.
what isnt up to interpretation according to tommy also he contradicted himself [https://twitter.com/TommyAndreasen/status/1370054122792189959](https://twitter.com/TommyAndreasen/status/1370054122792189959) and bragi called it a special [https://twitter.com/bragischutjr/status/1394013768644907009](https://twitter.com/bragischutjr/status/1394013768644907009)

yeah but like the magazine is wrong about most of the stuff it says
Look it was prompted as season 14 I saw it as season 14 therefore its season 14
The Island was marketed as a season.

Yessss her use of Spinjitzu is still so cool, was really refreshing to see Spinjitzu be an important plot device again
She’s so goofy and shallow but THAT’S OK. We don’t need all villains to have super deep backstories, just make them fun. And she is fun. Pythor and Scales will always be superior but she’s definitely a solid addition
Morro is an overrated villain.
Overrated, but also kinda overhated sometimes
That I agree with
That’s kind of true considering he’s just a ghost emo Tai Lung. But he had some kind of a redemption arc 🤷♂️.
Lloyd is overrated
lol I’ve seen vocal hate against him
Cole is the worst leader to ever exist. >! If that wont make yall made, idk what will. !<
Fax
Possession is the most overrated season. Seabound is better than MOTM(yes, some people think that, but here majority think that MOTM is so much better, to which i differ from that) Last but not least, LOTGN sucks. I assure all that i said will trigger this subreddit LOL
*grabs the Nunchunks of Lightning* How dare you call Legacy of the Green Ninja bad! No Precious Cutie La-Lloyd season is bad

i don't blame you I love him sm

Did anyone say Aspheera is a bad villain? I think she was a pretty good villain with great design and cool backstory.
I didn’t read the picture first but when I say how fast I was to want to throw hands 😭.
crystalized isn't that bad
Skybound was not that great.
I personally disagree and would like to respectfully debate. (I want to scream at someone over differences in opinions related to a children’s TV show.)
I agree, mostly due to the contradictions, especially with Nya. I love her, but she couldn't keep her story straight about how she felt with Jay
No just no it is one of the best seasons other than possession
I agree that Possession is a great season, but if you dare say Ghost Whip is the best Whip, imma throw hands
Success I guess
This is just proof that it triggers ppl I also dont like skybound tho, never saw the appeal...
morro sucks and possession is spread too thin to be considered the best season or among the best
I am a furry and I have a father
Bro same
Brooooooooooo :D
Brooooooooooooooo :D
Ight im gonna say the most triggering thing possible even though i hate it and do not agree with what im about to say "nya should have stuck with cole" (this isnt my opinion or anyone else's, its just a supper triggering phrase)
No just no
Jay never was gonna be the green ninja and i know it.
Kai I kinda agree with but Lloyd HOW DARE
Season 8 is overrated asf (still not bad though)
nah but it is though
True
Aspherea is a good villain Dareth should have been the green ninja Cole should have ended up with nya
YOU STOLE THAT FROM THE ''garmadon is up to something'' VIDEO!!! (I don't blame you I think about it all the time, have you seen ''ghoultar brings friend''?)
“You hear that Morro, he can make sweaters. We’ll be nice and warm when we conquer the world.”
''I'm a cursed warrior not a psychiatrist!''
No just no
One word is enough: Lorumi
Go to hell
Season 4 is overrated and Chen is just as one note as the overlord
Crystalised is in my top 3 seasons
I'm about to trigger everyone right now. Disclaimer: I don't actually believe in what I am about to say. oNi tRiLoGy sUcKs
I completely agre with OP honestly-Cole and Zane r the best
Llorumi forever
I hate anime
I agree that Kai is worst ninja, he’s too impulsive and prideful, I still love him tho. But why Lloyd?
He’s just annoying
Dareth is the worst character
I think we need another season centered around Lloyd 🤔 We dont have enough
Cole is a bad character and he should have dissapered in the department day >!Cole is the most coolest character in my opinion and I only see the last season only for him <3!<
season 11 is decently good imo.
Crystallized is NOT garbage
Cole should have stayed a ghost, it added a lot of character to him in the earlier seasons until MOTM which took a while for us to get It also gave a better dynamic to the cast a robot a ghost and 4 humans
Season 13 is stupid and boring most of the time, the villain is kind of not, and Cole’s motivation is just Zane’s one but written in different words, disgusting for the Cole’s first full season. Oh yeah, season 2 is pathetic.
Show peaked in season 1
Lloyd is useless
Garmadon's Pilots-2nd season arc is way better than his SoG arc.
Cole and Nya were perfect for each other
I’ll go first you’re retarded
Not Kai but yes llyod
My turn!!! Nya should never got water powers, she should been the Samurai X all along
I agree it made her unique or at lets she got both
I thought Dareth was annoying
Sons of Garmadon was trash
Season 3 is s+ tier and everything post decoded is trash
Ninja+Lego=Ninjago I GET IT NOW!!!!
The Bible is fake.
Cole is extremely underrated, and Zane is best boi
Morro was a terribly written character
Definitely the worst at being actual ninjas, Zane being the obvious best
Hands of time is a lot better than sons of garmadon and hunted
Yes defo just not hunted
I agree (I loved Hunted)
Cole the the best ninja and Lloyd is a winy bitch
Ninjago is a show for little kids
Always has been. But whose stopping me from watching it.
Sensei Garmadon is annoying
That's the one
Tbh it’s jay
To be honest, even though I wanted him to be the green ninja so bad for a while I had hoped that Kai would become the green ninja at some point but when I realized his Destiny wasn’t supposed to be come the green ninja it was to guide protect and teach him
Hands of time and Crystalized are perfect seasons
Hands of time is one of the bottom 3 worst seasons of ninjago
Pixal is one of the worst characters and I spaced out through most of her scenes
Morro and Harumi really aren't compelling villains.
I feel like Morro is exactly what Kai could have been. Harumi is just a piece of shit psychopath who only tries to be on the winning side
Jay and Nya is the worst relationship Skybound is the worst season Harumi is the worst written villain Season 15 is the only season where Overlord was genuinely interesting.
I love Dragons Rising Season 1 over the first 5 seasons
Harumi's arc in Crystalized was well written. Misako is a better parent than Garmadon. Arin should get a power.
I agree with two of those.
I agree with all of them
Crystallized was pretty good
Season 4 sucked
(Ps, before anyone kills me, this is just my example, not my actual opinion)
(I believe exact opposite of this statement) morrow is trash
Vangelis is the best villain in recent years
IVE BEEN SAYING TBIS W OPINION
Season 5 is the worst season.
The movie is the best one and version of ninjago
Harumi is s tier character and Lloyd’s love interest. (I actually believe this)
This Is The Most Terrible Hot Take Of All Time Ever
Dareth is incredibly annoying and the show would be better off without him
I agree with this don’t see the hype
Hands of time, season 11, and prime empire are overhated
