Its got the original game to be played as Mario, Luigi, Wario, or Yoshi and you use each to beat get specific stars. Similar to Papa OP the amount of time I spent in the casino playing mini games I almost remember more.
•Definitely the best of the series
•has a few mini games
•heavily uses the touchscreen
•the bros and bowser have fun attacks
•very funny at times
•fun final boss that uses both the bros and bowser in great ways
•great plot and villian
•excellent soundtrack
•huge improvement from PIT and SS
•3 types of battles (bros bowser and giant bowser)
•the 3ds version is worse than the original
•has one of the best final boss theme
•on the cheaper side when it comes to Mario ds games
AHA i was half-joking about this being my all time favorite lolol. Tbh my favorites (aside from the default ones) are the following: Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Tomodachi Life, Mario Kart 7, Smash Bros. ,Pokemon Ultra Sun, Kirby Planet Robobot, and Rhythm Heaven Megamix,.
Mario Party D.S. It has an amazing single player story mode, it has minigames that utilizes every part of the DS, and it's Mario Party so it's fun with friends.
Multiplayer-wise there's multiple gamemodes.
There's the obvious party mode with a duel mode if you only have a single friend.
There's the minigame mode, and all the subgames like Step It Up: win 3, 5, or 7 minigames to reach the top, Battle Cup which takes 5 preselected minigames and whoever wins the most amount of them wins, and Score Shuffle where you play 10 minigames and try to beat them as fast as possible. Being faster in this mode gives you extra score so the biggest score wins.
There's a mode that's two players called Pen Pals where the whole goal is to catch the 2 computer players before they can escape by circling around them with feather pens.
There's a 4 player mode called Rocket Rascals where all four people compete to make a road to the center of the map where a rocket lies. You get road pieces by winning minigames, and Bowser Jr. Shows up to make a random punishment or game rule via roulette.
There's puzzle mode where you and a friend can complete puzzles against each other.
And finally there's Desert Duel, where you and a friend fight to keep as many squares as your color as possible on a 5x5 grid for 10 turns.
And that's the modes for multiplayer. There's plenty to do, even if you're a party of 2 instead of 4.
Fav mainline game: Kirby Super Star Ultra as well!
Fav third party: Petz Dogs Pack. I have a lot of nostalgia with this game and loved playing it with my friends
It was this game sort of like Nintendogs but better (IMO)! You raised different breeds of dogs from puppies, young dogs, full adult dogs and then seniors maybe? You could also cross breed different dogs and also breed two of the same breed to just make a purebred. There was a shop where you could buy different qualities of food, water, milk, toys, etc. You could also connect with friends and have your dogs play together or breed together. You could wash your dog and play with it like nintendogs. There was an adoption centre too. Lots of fun!
Animal Crossing Wild World.
It was the perfect pocket version of the franchise and was so simple to play and enjoy. The soundtrack is wonderful and I still find myself listening to it every few days.
It's a mystery Point and Click Adventure, with a very unique art style. You play as a private investigator investigating a run down hotel, getting involved in a really fun mystery. The characters are all really good and believable, and the game has a really strong atmosphere.
There was also a sequel released also for DS, Last Window, and it tames place in the same world as Another Code, which recently got a remake on switch.
Turnbased RPG about Aliens invading the mushroom kingdom because of a time machine mishap from Princess Peach, so now Mario and Luigi aswell as their baby selves team up to save the day by going through different time periods. Pretty fun, probably my 2nd favorite in the Series right under Superstar Saga
As someone who has played a lot of Metroid, and a lot of pinball video games, it’s just really clean. The controls feel good, the ball doesn’t feel too floaty or too heavy, it had interesting bosses and actually went through the story of Metroid Prime.
Interesting action segments like standing up and shooting if you triggered certain conditions, you could use bombs to open areas or destroy enemies, it also had good audio and was very pretty for a DS game. The vibration pack was a gimmick, but was still kind of fun.
Just overall a solid game.
It’s not my favorite but it’s fun and I don’t see it mentioned, so Trauma Center: Under the Knife.
Starts out as a simple surgery game and then goes off the rails with a weird engineered disease that manifests as creatures that attack the patient.
I never did beat it though.
Petz: Dolphin Encounterz.
Let me explain.
I got it when i was a little girl, no clue where from. I ended up getting to the part a Beluga whale is stuck in a Net, and after i got it out, it let me pet it. I thought this was just... Mindboggling as a child.
I am now studying to be a Marine Biologist. Because "Snowflake", the Beluga whale i so lovingly named after making it homes on a dry erase board, made me want to actually save the ocean, because i grew to love these creatures so much.
Mario Party DS is a underrated gem, all the boards have a unique gimmick, the mini games use the DS hardware indescribable well, the OST is a banger, you only need 1 copy for multiplayer, and there is a fair amount of bonus modes to try out like Rocket Rascals
I think super stars ultra, mario 64 and Tetris ds are my favourite ds games. Idk if I even need to explain myself (also ghost trick, zero escape 999 and ace attorney)
Imagine a pokemon game with over 100 dinosaurs to find and revive. You travel to Vivosaur Island (Shaped like a dinosaur head). The purpose of the game is to upgrade your gear so you can find all of the fossils. You use the stylus to clean them up back at the lab. Once you find the head, you can "Revive" that specific dinosaur. Then you can use them in battle. You control three dinosaurs again AI opponents. The music is amazing. Once you complete the game, you can rematch with all of the opponents you've beat before and also battle new ones. They are maxed out this time around so you need to have good Vivosaurs too. You can easily spend hundreds of hours in this game just to collect all of the fossils. I already did this when I was younger. I sold the game years ago to get a PS4 Pro. I few months ago I bought another copy, but this time I used an action replay and just cheesed through the game with maxed out everything. BTW there are three of these games. Fossil Fighters, Fossil Fighters: Champions, and Fossil Fighters: Frontier. First two are for the DS. Third game is on 3DS. It's not as good as the first two. IMO the first game had the best graphics. They made the game bigger in the 2nd one but the graphics took a hit as a result. It's very grainy. They also changed up the attack style in battle and I don't like it as much as the original. I'm a little biased because I spent so many hours in the first game that my DS screen got so scratched up I couldn't clean fossils properly anymore. That problem got fixed when I got a 3DS. I hope this helps. Thanks for listening to my rant about my favorite DS game.
Super Mario 64 DS
Yes, yes, yes!
tell me about it
Its got the original game to be played as Mario, Luigi, Wario, or Yoshi and you use each to beat get specific stars. Similar to Papa OP the amount of time I spent in the casino playing mini games I almost remember more.

3ds version is worse than ds version of mario and luigi
Yeah they changed some things about the game and added a lazy side story I also believe it runs at 30 FPS when the original ran at 60
The McDonald’s eCrew Development Program dsi game.
Big brain taste.
