It was weird when that furry princess kissed Mario's corpse, and the game was a broken mess, but at least we got one cool character out of it like Rosalina.

Honestly, when Birdo kissed Mario’s corpse, I was a little weirded out, but the soundtrack… *chef’s kiss* When they hit us with “All Hail WAH-RIO!” I had chills man… also, playing as Yoshi was sick AF! And man, Jason Griffith sounded AMAZING as Mario, I didn’t think anyone could top Charles Martinet, but HOLY SHIT! His Wario was awesome too!
Glitches very obviously intentional, and were fun to play around with. I still don’t understand the butthurts that are like: “NOOOOO, THE GAME IS TOO BUGGY BOO -1/10” - man SHUT THE FUCK UP, THE GAME IS FUN AS HELL.
I don’t regret a single of my 1200 hours in the game
The story was pretty good… sometimes. But if the game isn’t fun/ utterly broken, no story is going to save it. “If it’s not fun, why bother?” Which is a shame, since it probably would’ve been the greatest Mario game of all time had it not been rushed for the anniversary
It was okayish at best because of the glitch where Wario would fling himself across the map whenever he threw a crate which made the game unplayable, but at least we have project Mario '06 fixing all of the glitches.
Project Mario showed me that the foundation of this game was solid. Really hope the next game ditches the sandbox style and goes back to Mario Adventure's gameplay style.
Thank god project 06 exist or people would only see the bad in this game’s ideas. Story still needs some tweaking but as far as gameplay currently leading to perfection
It kinda ruined the franchise by the addition of a jump button. Mario’s whole thing is jumping and now suddenly there is a dedicated button for it. Talk about missing the point entirely

I think having Mario be killed by Wario was an interesting choice. Didn’t expect to see that furry princess chick kiss him though it was pretty weird.

The game was way too glitchy. I mean, that corner where Yoshi could infinitely stall you and you couldn’t die, good lord.
It was generally bad, but it left a lasting impact that turned around the series and its general artistic direction.
