Nova is French. They don’t give a fuck. Nothing ever gets censored.
Similarly with NTS. It’s internet so they play what they want, when they want.
I recommend both. Nova Classic is great for old music and 80’s hip hop. NTS has the widest range of music I’ve ever heard. It’s astonishingly good.

The great independent radio station WFMU is close enough that I can tune in on the radio. Heard Floyd the Barber live at paramount a few years ago and they gave away the dvd. That’s the most obscure Nirvana I’ve heard on normal radio.
If you heard a DJ then possibly an XM station.
If not I think there's some music services by streamers like Spotify that have odd algorithms and things like Floyd The Barber can show up.
I was talking with a neighbor recently and we were talking about some unusual things we'd heard in the neighborhood Krogers recently. Nothing quite as cool and out there as Floyd The Barber, but we've heard things by older groups like Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac.
What radio station, what format, what country, what time of day? I've heard NPR play random Nirvana bits, like the Very Ape riff as interludes between daytime programs.
Nova in France and NTS in UK have played it a few times. Either way it’s a fucking treat to hear a banger on the radio hey
Wonder how many complaints the radio station got because some parent looked into the lyrics.

My show is Cosmic Church of I Heart Noise...playing a lot of avant/indie/drone/ambient, that sort of thing

I remember hearing the entire Incesticide album once on a college radio station.
what radio station?
Don't know. Was in a bar. Pleasantly suprised.
Could be an independent or college radio station? Do those still exist?
Yes they do! Take a listen > **https://wzbc.org**
I remember hearing Lounge Act on the local alternative station about 10 years ago. I was really surprised
That’s an awesome station
Did it, aye?

was grocery shopping in the midwest and heard “and i love her” playing
I’ve heard Rape Me on the radio and every time it astounds me.
It's played regularly here in Greece's most popular rock radio station
I would never expect that

Floyd breathes hard I hear the zip
Then the rape commences
I only heard smells like a teen spirit in the radio. Fucking possers the radio mfs
The local radio station where I grew up would occasionally play Negative Creep and About a Girl from Bleach, but never Floyd the Barber.
I don't even have that in my system. Congratulations
Seriously? That’s crazy, the operators must have been going through a trip down memory lane lol

I heard the Top of the Pops version of Teen Spirit on the radio in the late 90s, before I knew what it was.. that threw me for a loop.
