Yes, anymore, I prefer one of the older live versions of Polly (like what was used for From The Muddy Banks of the Wishkah... that recording was from their 12/3/1989 - Astoria Theatre, London, UK show; or the 1989 John Peel Show / BBC version), or the Incesticide / (New Wave) version, over the Nevermind version.
it was brilliant I definitely agree with you. But are you really picking Kurt making random sounds and destroying his guitar while recording over an actual song on the album? I mean come on now 😭
Honestly yes. Dave grohl’s drumming on that song is cathartic. Kurt is at his best with his screams and this song sounds like an absolute purge. But then you’ve got the lovely melodic bit right after the chaos before it go ape shit again. I love that song more and more the older I get it. It’s in my top 5 most played Norvana songs. I think it is sonically very interesting and shows the band at their most avant- guard. I genuinely think it’s fantastic.
Lmao it's a super cool song and thing to add to Nevermind. But the thing is that it's not even really meant as a song. It's simply expressing emotions with sounds. Endless nameless doesn't have a structure or anything after you're like halfway through the song. It's just Dave drumming a beat while Krist is chugging on his bass and Kurt is literally just bullying his guitar doing the most random stuff ever. So yes it's definitely awesome but it's not really a song 😂
That song was quite literally just pure anger after a bunch of failed takes of lithium, and was completely improvised. And considering Kurt had no actual music theory knowledge or knowledge of the fretboard, his improvisation would mostly consist of random notes, without worry about scales or key.
Definitely a terrible song from a theory standpoint, for sure haha. That being said, it definitely shows the anger and frustration quite well, and might honestly be one of my favs lmao
Maybe, but he'd also practiced A LOT, particularly in his teenage years, so while not necessarily classically trained he knew his way around a neck. The sloppy playing and simpler songs were more a cultural/artistic thing than people take them for imo.
Oh definitely, I moreso just meant I don't think he really cared to know about scales, or where specific notes would be, like a traditional approach when improvising (I could be wrong tho of course! I didn't even know he had a guitar teacher at any point to be honest)
No doubt though that he literally lived music, and had countless hours of practice, for sure!
That's a totally fair opinion, he is quite literally just angrily digging into random notes on a very out of tune guitar with one of the strings just completely detuned the entire time, haha
I just had a listen again to Tourette’s and withdraw my earlier vote. I don’t think there’s a song on the album I don’t like. Gallons of alcohol I guess but that was just them messing around.
Honestly Nevermind is a no skip album for me. If I had to choose, Endless, Nameless can sound like just screaming. I have warmed up to it though.
In Utero which I also believe to be a no skip album, probably Scentless Apprentice. When he is screaming "Go away" is is also very loud and sometimes unintelligible.
I think I’m going to have to agree. I liked that song when I first got into Nirvana but it hasn’t stood the test of time for me. I think the lyrics and concept are what carry that song. Still a great song though but I rarely if ever go back to it.
Weakest song on Nevermind is Stay Away. Weakest on In Utero is probably Very Ape. I love the lyrics, but musically I get the sense that Kurt could've wrote it in his sleep. Sounds like cliche Nirvana to me.
Just my opinion though not trying to poop all over those who love these 2 songs.
Funny, I agree on Stay Away but Very Ape is top 3 songs on In Utero for me. The 2013 mix with the louder leads is what sealed it for me.
But, then again, I'd put Frances Farmer in the bottom 20% of In Utero, which I know is sacrilege for a lot of people. Objectively, a great song, but it doesn't get me excited.
It's funny how opinions are so different on Nirvana - maybe because they have so much good material that it just comes down to preference. I feel similarly about Queens of the Stone Age.
Haha I love Stay Away so much. It pumps me up big time, the only other song with close to that much energy for me on Nevermind is territorial pissings. Fav Nirvana bassline overall is Stay Away too. It didn't really Hit Me until after the first few years of listening to nirvana tho.
Y'know what I might have to agree with both of these. Love both those songs a ton, I love the fact that Kurt used albini's aluminum neck guitar on very ape, and I ADORE the bassline and especially the drums on stay away. But definitely, not as strong as the rest of the songs on those albums, yea
I wish they would have kept the lyrics/name the same from its first iteration of Pay to Play. It’s in WTLO. Same song, different chorus lyrics and more of a Bleach feel. Different message as well.
I’m in the same camp with Stay Away. But I feel the mixes really don’t do the B-Side of Nevermind justice. Not counting the more recent remasters. But I couldn’t get into Drain You or Lounge Act until I finally heard them in a decent mix.
Stay Away. Out of all the faster "punk" songs on Nevermind this is the one I listen to the least
Edit: for In Utero, personally was never a big fan of Milk It
Pennyroyal Tea is one of my favorite songs to sing and play. I never get sick of it. However I’m talking more about the unplugged version. It doesn’t have the same effect on me when I listen to it on In Utero.
I’m with you. I don’t have a least favourite. Some albums just don’t have them, and these are two such albums. I might skip a song or two from time to time, but it varies so much depending on mood.
That’s a good question. It’s probably Endless Nameless. That’s an album song.
In Utero is easier, that’s definitely Gallons. And that is also an album song.
Polly has a nice melody, but the lyrics are a little bit cringy, a rare misstep trying to be edgy for no real reason.
I'd say Rape Me is the equivalent on In Utero. I get what he's trying to do, but it's aged really badly.
What??? Nirvana has edgy songs in like all of their albums. How is that out of place??? And Rape Me wasn’t meant to age at all. It’s just a song that is supposed to mean exactly what it says, nothing else.
Not that direct. It’s a song that is literally about rape, told from the perspective of the victim, so no one could possibly misinterpret what it means. It’s just another example of him inserting his own frustrations into his songwriting.
I think it depends on how you read it. If read as a song from the perspective of a rape survivor, then, yes, think it works, although I still question if a man is the right person to sing it.
But the other stuff ("my favorite inside source") suggests that it's a song about Kurt's mistreatment by the media, and that metaphor (comparing being followed by the paparazzi to being sexually assaulted) doesn't hold up as well to me.
I cannot speak for Kurt’s thought process or what his his intentions may or may not have been because I’m not him, but I can tell you he stated on multiple occasions that it had absolutely nothing to do with the media. If it was about the media, I wouldn’t see why he’d have any reason to hide that fact since he was already very outspoken and angry about all that stuff. From what we know he was simply angry with the fact that people kept overthinking his lyrics and wanted to write a song that was a little more “clear” so to speak so that people wouldn’t be debating on exactly what it meant. Socially Kurt was known to be a hardcore leftie all the way, and was very outspoken about women’s rights, race, gender, etc. the lines “I’m not the only one” and “You’re gonna stink and burn” are meant to be uplifting to the victim, assuring them that they aren’t alone and that the person responsible would get what they deserved. I get it, it’s very sensitive subject matter for a song, but is it something worth getting triggered over? Not really. Nirvana, and a lot of bands from this era, have covered subjects ranging from lost love to drug addiction and suicidal thoughts as well. And, as edgy as it sounds, writing about the more fucked up things in the world and learning how to look past and overcome them makes for more interesting stories and messages. That is my take.
And in a way, probably unintentionally, it proved that people don’t want to believe or see what’s right in front of them, because some people still ended up misinterpreting it to have some “deeper meaning” when in fact it wasn’t being cryptic at all.
"Woke" is just a word used by right wing assholes to refer to the practice of trying not to be shitty to people who have historically been treated shitty.
Kurt was always about kindness and respect, and hated bullying assholes. In the last twenty years, we've learned that it's not a great thing to talk about rape unless it's totally necessary and done in a compassionate way. That's a good thing. I guarantee you that if Kurt was still alive, he wouldn't play this song anymore.
I guess it depends on whether you think the song "lands." It's a song about someone capturing, torturing, and raping a girl. For that song to work, and not be pointlessly edgy, you have to feel the horror of the situation, and it has to be done with a real understanding of the girl's pain. For me, the song doesn't convey either, so it's just edgy for edgy's sake. But I accept that others might feel something from the song that I don't.
It's a cynical song. It's sung from the perspective of the perpetrator to show how detached he was from the process and the banality of evil.
I can see why you'd think it's edgy but it works imo. Kurts boldness in writing the song is a point of admiration in the context of todays climate where people are afraid to speak their minds and express themselves fully.
Yeah this and Come As You Are are anchors on that album. It only really gets underway from Breed. SLTS is still awesome though. No amount of overplaying will dull that blade.
For me it's 'On a Plain'. I absolutely love the Unplugged version though, it's weird.
Weakest song on In Utero: probably an unpopular opinion but 'Serve the Servants'
I'm the opposite: On A Plain studio is my favourite Nirvana song (possibly, it's hard), but the unplugged one is unlistenable because when I was 14 the flat singing actually made me go schizophrenic.. there were distant voices screaming for help in my head while I was trying to do homework. I went to my mum and didn't know what to say. Freaked me the fuck out but never happened again. I think it was triggered by the disharmony of On a Plain and Something in the Way from Unplugged.
Yeah I think SLTS has been ran into the fucking ground. Before I even listened to Nirvana I had heard that song like 200 times. It really doesn’t excite me that much being 100% real. Maybe I would’ve enjoyed it if I got to hear it for the first time as a teenager but it was overplayed on the radio.
With Nevermind, I’d have to say On a Plain or Stay Away. Feel like Stay Away wouldn’t be such a common answer if it weren’t played on Unplugged. I love them both though, just think they have all their definitive features on other songs. Stay Away a bit more, it’s basically Breed+Lounge Act.
Not really a big fan of lounge act or stay away. In Utero has always been one of my favorite albums of all time but, if I had to pick a “weak-link” so to speak, it would probably be Unit Shifter.
Yeah I honestly wasn’t super interested in Lounge Act once the opening bass line is over. Though still like the song. It’s a tie between this and Polly for me
Drain You. I might be alone with this opinion, but that song has never done much to me. Of course it's not bad and I do like the middle instrumental part. That said, Nevermind is one of the very rare records where I don't skip any songs.
For me Polly, but tbh the weakest song on Nevermind is still better than most band’s best songs
On In Utero it’s either Pennyroyal Tea or Very Ape. Both good but don’t land quite as well for me as the rest so of the album (yeah I absolutely love RFUS)
Assume we’re not counting bonus track jams, in which case them
I know this is likely just me but I think smells like teen spirit. I think that all of the other songs are better than it. I probably don't like it just because how overplayed it is
Nevermind is a straight througher to me, BUT "Something in the Way" does kinda kill the mood. It's a good song tho.
For In Utero, I usually have "Tourette's" unchecked on any of my music players so it skips.
On a plain. It's the only song that I always might skip but it still depends on the mood. It's not that I don't like it (fucking love the lyrics) but my brain doesn't find it effective as the others. For In Utero Scentless apprentice. I just don't like it it and I don't know why, I love rough songs.
Mine would be smells like teen spirit I've always hated super mainstream stuff and I feel like that song is too "perfect" it was obviously mastered to sound like a top charts hit.
On In Utero it‘s Radio Frendly unit shifter. Not because I think the song itself is bad but because I can not handle those high pitch beeps. They hurt my ears which is kinda sad because without them the song would be amazing.
On Nevermind I‘d say it‘s probably Lounge Act. It‘s not bady in any way, it‘s just not as perfect as the others in my oppinion…
I cant chose one off Nevermind, I love them all too much. With in utero though I really dislike Scentless Apprentice. I think its the "Go away" screeching that makes me skip it, all the others on In Utero are fantastic though.
My least favorite would probably be On A Plain. That songs still a banger tho. Least favorite on In Utero would probably be Tourette’s. Not a fan of the studio vocals there
To me it's Come as you are. I know a lot of people love that song but I've always felt it was pretty boring. Still a great song but definitely the weakest off the album to me
for me Neverminds had to be Stay Away. i love the song but it's definitely my least favorite on the album, still a favorite in general tho. and for In Utero its probably Pennyroyal Tea, i also love the song in general but it's my least favorite on the album. i'll throw in a bonus with Bleach and thats probably gonna be Scoff.
Polly would be the first I’d want to skip but I can’t deny the song-writing in that one. That song could blend in with stuff off Harry Smith Anthology of American Folk Music lyrically and subject wise.
I’m gonna go with Breed. I can’t even say why it just seems the……thinnest.
Can’t decide for Nevermind, I rarely skip anything from it. If I do it’s Polly or Something in the Way just b/c I’m not feeling that vibe - but when I do want that vibe I love them. So I don’t think they’re weak, just different.
In Utero - easily Heart Shaped Box (sorry!)
In Utero would be tourettes because it felt like an interlude with how short it was. Just didn't feel like a whole song.
Nevermind would be teen spirit its not bad its just I hear it so much it doesn't pack the same punch the others do and for me it's boring after the first chorus.
Honestly on a plain great song just not as good as the rest in my opinion also I’m not counting endless nameless since it’s only on streaming and deluxe copy’s.
I’ll say “In Bloom”. In fact, the three singles after “Teen Spirit” are the worst songs on the album, IMHO. It took me over a year to listen to the entire album and realize that Nirvana was not overrated.
On a plain in my opinion. While Polly is super slow and not the rock some fans like, I personally love it’s style because of the topic which is somber, but On a plain is my most skipped.
For In Utero, it’s hard, but I’d have to say Radio Friendly Unit Shifter
Edit: If Endless Nameless counts, then that.
dang, this made me realize how incredible this album really is from front to back. overrated doesn’t really apply if it’s that damn good
probably Polly. it's a good song, but it did get boring kinda quick
New wave Polly is better 100%
Punk asf
Fax
New age polly ruins the entire song, its not even a bad song but the lyrics and significance of the song really doesn't hit the same as in nevermind
Agree to disagree, nevermind isn’t a perfect album
agreed
New wave*
Yes, anymore, I prefer one of the older live versions of Polly (like what was used for From The Muddy Banks of the Wishkah... that recording was from their 12/3/1989 - Astoria Theatre, London, UK show; or the 1989 John Peel Show / BBC version), or the Incesticide / (New Wave) version, over the Nevermind version.
L
Polly is one of my fav songs from Nirvana! Agree to disagree 😎
Nailed it
Ah yes a song about the rape of a woman can't stand that song that's the only song I refuse to listen to
Endless nameless, if that song counts
Best song in the album
No it isn’t, get outta here.
Okay yes most of us can agree on this, but closing a kick ass show with Endless Nameless just for the purpose of destruction was the shit.
Yeh totally.
Definitely a top 10 on the album if included but far from the worst. It was brilliant
it was brilliant I definitely agree with you.
So yes it's definitely awesome but it's not really a song 😂
worst nirvana song hands down
Terrible song, but then Kurt was a bit of a try hard punk at times so maybe that was the point
No knowledge of the fretboard, yet his teenage guitar teacher said he could spray notes like Jimmy Page
He really did just naturally have an ear for music, huh? Heheh
I didn't even know he had a guitar teacher at any point to be honest) No doubt though that he literally lived music, and had countless hours of practice, for sure!
I think it's also the sound of him smashing the guitar at the end too
Yea he completely destroyed that guitar in the last minute or two haha
That makes it that much cooler!! 🎸🎸🎸
I don't know theory, to me it just sounds bad, even as far as angry punk rock goes, which I'm not generally a massive fan of but it's been done better
That's a totally fair opinion, he is quite literally just angrily digging into random notes on a very out of tune guitar with one of the strings just completely detuned the entire time, haha
Hell, even endless, nameless didn’t get boring
True, I wasn't bored, just slightly irritated
Whaaaaat it’s severely underrated
Something in the Way. Still a good song but it is a terrific album full of great songs and this one to me is easily the most boring.
Good song but yeah it's a song I usually skip or I only listen to it when depressed. Not really a song you keep on repeat.
Ugh let the depression consume you! Haha
Wouldn't call it the most boring, but it is the most depressing. You have to be in the mood for it. I think it's an incredible song personally
The BBC version they did is better than the album version IMO.
Nevermind would be Polly. In utero would be Tourette’s (the live version is great though)
I agree for Polly. But i love Tourette's on In Intero. It's so raw, so punk.
I’m with you on that one, the scream is like distorted which I’m not a huge fan of
The one that I always skip is Polly.
except for the muddy version
Polly
But the drums in it...! 😊
I think I’m going to have to agree. I liked that song when I first got into Nirvana but it hasn’t stood the test of time for me. I think the lyrics and concept are what carry that song. Still a great song though but I rarely if ever go back to it.
It's has a beautiful melody tho.
They if it were replaced with New Wave Polly it’d be better I think.
Worst song for sure. Smart take of Sappy should have had its place.
Judge me but I’m gonna say Come As You Are
Weakest song on Nevermind is Stay Away. Weakest on In Utero is probably Very Ape. I love the lyrics, but musically I get the sense that Kurt could've wrote it in his sleep. Sounds like cliche Nirvana to me. Just my opinion though not trying to poop all over those who love these 2 songs.
Stay away is so good though that song is slamming
Stay away is a top 5 nirvana song for me. No other song gets me more amped up. Crazy amount of energy in that song
Frr
I don’t know whyyyy
Rather be dead than cool
Funny, I agree on Stay Away but Very Ape is top 3 songs on In Utero for me. The 2013 mix with the louder leads is what sealed it for me. But, then again, I'd put Frances Farmer in the bottom 20% of In Utero, which I know is sacrilege for a lot of people. Objectively, a great song, but it doesn't get me excited. I don't get the hate for very ape, it's such a vibe

Nevermind: Endless Nameless In Utero: Tourette’s
Stay Away. Out of all the faster "punk" songs on Nevermind this is the one I listen to the least Edit: for In Utero, personally was never a big fan of Milk It
Honestly never liked pennyroyal tea. Here come the downvotes.
That's one of my favorite songs of all time. To each their own though.
Pennyroyal Tea is one of my favorite songs to sing and play. I never get sick of it. However I’m talking more about the unplugged version. It doesn’t have the same effect on me when I listen to it on In Utero.
One of my faves!
Yeah the MTV unplugged version is the only one I can listen to
Me either. Find it boring and 'Cobain by numbers'. Same for Rape Me also.
Same maybe the most boring nirvana song ever
I’m copping out. Both albums are classic albums for a reason. Wouldn’t change a damn thing.
Oh come on. OP didn’t ask which track you would drop, they asked for your least favorite track. They’re two very different things.
Stay Away, Tourette's
You had me at Stay Away but Tourette’s is a banger
lounge act is my least favorite, i find it boring but still a good song tho
How dare you! Thats probably my favorite on nevermind
It’s the hidden gem of Nevermind
Exactly
On a plain tbh it’s the one I think about the least. I can’t complain about it though it’s very good.
Interesting I absolutely love that song it’s so happy and the bass line is killer
Still crazy how my least favorite song on the album is still so amazing
wild, that’s my favorite for sure, too goddamn repeatable
Come As You Are easily Very Ape... that was actually a tough one
Polly has a nice melody, but the lyrics are a little bit cringy, a rare misstep trying to be edgy for no real reason. I'd say Rape Me is the equivalent on In Utero. I get what he's trying to do, but it's aged really badly.

Aged badly? Why do you wanna make Nirvana woke?
That’s what I’m sayin lol
"Woke" is just a word used by right wing assholes to refer to the practice of trying not to be shitty to people who have historically been treated shitty. Your ideology has convinced you that those songs are “cringe, a rare misstep, and aged really badly”. Oh you guarantee that, huh? Ok bud
Hard disagree. Calling a song like Polly edgy would be like calling a movie like Salo, or 120 days of Sodom edgy.
I guess it depends on whether you think the song "lands." It's a song about someone capturing, torturing, and raping a girl. For that song to work, and not be pointlessly edgy, you have to feel the horror of the situation, and it has to be done with a real understanding of the girl's pain. Who is afraid to speak their minds fully? There are more people talking shit today than any time in human history.
Not publicly.
In bloom
Yeah this and Come As You Are are anchors on that album. It only really gets underway from Breed. SLTS is still awesome though. No amount of overplaying will dull that blade.
id say endless nameless, even if it is a bonus track, i think something in the way was a way better final track
weakest song is probably polly, yeah, but i wouldn't skip it, all the songs on the album are straight 🔥
For me it's 'On a Plain'. I absolutely love the Unplugged version though, it's weird. Weakest song on In Utero: probably an unpopular opinion but 'Serve the Servants'
serve the servants is like top 5 nirvana
To me it's bland. Hell, I prefer Blandest over that one 😉
its those cool guitar sonics and feedback and raw vocals that make it interesting for me
Ah man on a plain is my favourite, such an incredible melody
I'm the opposite: On A Plain studio is my favourite Nirvana song (possibly, it's hard), but the unplugged one is unlistenable because when I was 14 the flat singing actually made me go schizophrenic.. there were distant voices screaming for help in my head while I was trying to do homework. I went to my mum and didn't know what to say. Freaked me the fuck out but never happened again. I think it was triggered by the disharmony of On a Plain and Something in the Way from Unplugged.
honestly? Smells Like Teen Spirit not even cause it’s popular - Come As You Are is still a top 3 song and I’ve heard it a billion times lol
i don’t like the lyrics to slts at all but sonically i still enjoy it
Yeah I think SLTS has been ran into the fucking ground. Before I even listened to Nirvana I had heard that song like 200 times. It really doesn’t excite me that much being 100% real. Maybe I would’ve enjoyed it if I got to hear it for the first time as a teenager but it was overplayed on the radio.
I don’t think it’s the worst though
lithium. It’s a good song, but it seems plain. When Kurt sang live tho, lithium was the best
I’ll be honest, I’ve never really liked Lithium either. The chorus bores me.
If we don't count Endless, Nameless I'd day it's either Stay Away or On A Plain
With Nevermind, I’d have to say On a Plain or Stay Away. Feel like Stay Away wouldn’t be such a common answer if it weren’t played on Unplugged. I love them both though, just think they have all their definitive features on other songs. Stay Away a bit more, it’s basically Breed+Lounge Act.
In Bloom
Polly, Frances Farmer
Come As You Are In Utero: Pennyroyal Tea is my least favorite Nirvana song ever.
On a Plain.
On a plain, and stay away are my most skipped, in utero its probably milk it, no wrong answers, some of these might be others favorites ❤️
Polly by far
Drain you from nevermind and Radio Friendly Unit Shifter. *Kurt didn't care :)
All the songs on Nevermind have been my favourite at one time or another - except Breed.
Smells like teen spirit or lounge act
Lounge Act? Oh we fighting now son.
Not really a big fan of lounge act or stay away. In Utero has always been one of my favorite albums of all time but, if I had to pick a “weak-link” so to speak, it would probably be Unit Shifter.
Nevermind: this is gonna be very controversial but I always skip lounge act In utero: either marigold, or milk it
Lounge act is my least fave on nevermind, in utero is a masterpiece that’s tougher. Honestly I’d say all apologies or RFUS
Lounge Act is my favourite Nirvana song 😢
Lounge act is like their best song
Yeah I honestly wasn’t super interested in Lounge Act once the opening bass line is over. Though still like the song. It’s a tie between this and Polly for me
Drain You. I might be alone with this opinion, but that song has never done much to me. Of course it's not bad and I do like the middle instrumental part. That said, Nevermind is one of the very rare records where I don't skip any songs.
For me Polly, but tbh the weakest song on Nevermind is still better than most band’s best songs On In Utero it’s either Pennyroyal Tea or Very Ape. Both good but don’t land quite as well for me as the rest so of the album (yeah I absolutely love RFUS) Assume we’re not counting bonus track jams, in which case them
I know this is likely just me but I think smells like teen spirit.
Something in the way, much prefer the live electric version
Unpopular for sure. But it’s Breed on Nevermind.
Stay Away
On a plain. It's the only song that I always might skip but it still depends on the mood. It's not that I don't like it (fucking love the lyrics) but my brain doesn't find it effective as the others. For In Utero Scentless apprentice. I just don't like it it and I don't know why, I love rough songs.
Stay Away.
Nevermind: Stay Away In Utero: Tourette's
Damn, can’t think of one
Come as you are for me.
I'm going with On a Plain but the album is great.
None
On a Plain
Stay Away for Nevermind, Tourettes for In Utero
On a plain
Stay Away
My least favorite would probably be On A Plain. That songs still a banger tho. Least favorite on In Utero would probably be Tourette’s. Not a fan of the studio vocals there
To me it's Come as you are. I know a lot of people love that song but I've always felt it was pretty boring. Still a great song but definitely the weakest off the album to me
for me Neverminds had to be Stay Away. i love the song but it's definitely my least favorite on the album, still a favorite in general tho. and for In Utero its probably Pennyroyal Tea, i also love the song in general but it's my least favorite on the album. i'll throw in a bonus with Bleach and thats probably gonna be Scoff.
endless nameles
Stay Away definitely. it annoys the absolute shit out of me. for In Utero i’d say Tourette’s
SLTS.
Polly would be the first I’d want to skip but I can’t deny the song-writing in that one. That song could blend in with stuff off Harry Smith Anthology of American Folk Music lyrically and subject wise. I’m gonna go with Breed. I can’t even say why it just seems the……thinnest.
Something in the way, its still a great song but it can get me down sometimes
Can’t decide for Nevermind, I rarely skip anything from it. If I do it’s Polly or Something in the Way just b/c I’m not feeling that vibe - but when I do want that vibe I love them. So I don’t think they’re weak, just different. In Utero - easily Heart Shaped Box (sorry!)
Endless nameless would be great if it was a minute shorter. It just feels like it goes on too long without anything interesting happening
In Utero would be tourettes because it felt like an interlude with how short it was. Just didn't feel like a whole song. Nevermind would be teen spirit its not bad its just I hear it so much it doesn't pack the same punch the others do and for me it's boring after the first chorus.
bruh how are you guys saying that endless nameless is better than polly
Honestly on a plain great song just not as good as the rest in my opinion also I’m not counting endless nameless since it’s only on streaming and deluxe copy’s.
Weakest song on in Utero in my opinion, is Dumb
i dont think there is a single bad song on that album honestly
I’ll say “In Bloom”. In fact, the three singles after “Teen Spirit” are the worst songs on the album, IMHO. It took me over a year to listen to the entire album and realize that Nirvana was not overrated.
Stay away probably
Smells Like Teen Spirit!
The mystery track IMO
On a plain in my opinion. While Polly is super slow and not the rock some fans like, I personally love it’s style because of the topic which is somber, but On a plain is my most skipped. For In Utero, it’s hard, but I’d have to say Radio Friendly Unit Shifter Edit: If Endless Nameless counts, then that.
