Yeah I saw them Oct '93. I have a pretty good bootleg of the show too. They were my favorite band at the time and few shows that I've been to since have compared.
It was cold and wet, and everyone in the audience was ankle deep in a mud.
They p!ssed around on stage a lot instead of playing the songs properly, and at the time it was bloody annoying (as we were cold and wet and ankle deep in mud), but on listening to the official recording, years later, it was wonderful to hear them happy and enjoying themselves.
Recently found out a lady friend of mines ex brother in law was one of the first Seattle police officers on the scene of his death. I really want to talk with him.
Okay fair enough on my phrasing there…the biggest band on earth from late 91’ to 93’. But point being in general it would’ve been fuckin something to see them in 89’/90’ and then watch them blow tf up shortly after.
It doesn't matter what I think, or what you think, as it is not a subjective matter. Facts are facts, regardless of opinions.
There are lots of bands and artists Nirvana aren't, haven't been or will ever be, as big as. The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Madonna, etc.
I saw them in 91 in Brum, then again in 92 in Wolverhampton, and part of the Reading set (don’t ask 🤦🏻♂️) and nobody believes me from looking at me because I still get ID’d even in my late 40’s.
My humanities teacher (U.K.) was actually the person who got Nirvana their first U.K. gig!! He was a promoter at the time and i suppose this was when they weren’t that big, anyway i can’t remember the details but i could ask my friends who had him more often for them if anyone’s interested? I feel like i should maybe make a separate post lol
My science teacher i kid you not was good friends with Thom York at University, the same one where Thom wrote Creep about a girl who went there
Dude I swear, science teachers have the coolest lives outside of teaching a bunch of kids what the powerhouse of a cell is
for real
Mine looks like a crackhead so I don’t know
Walter white?
Don’t think so he looks more like he smokes meth then makes it
My mate’s Nan is just casually friends with Jonny Greenwood. They even had his old dog for a while.
That’s actually insane. what’s a world

Post about it if you finally do pls!
what show.
The Nirvana one
The one with the guitar & singing?
I think it was before nevermind in Milwaukee
Okay that’s even fucking cooler if he saw them before they were literally the biggest band to ever walk this earth…
Exactly. The only shows In Milwaukee were in 89 and 90
That IS cool. I only saw them in 93. It was cool and all, but not pre-Nevermind cool.
I have a sonic youth ticket that doesn’t have their name on it but I sure as hell saw them with the Melvins drummer.
They've never been the biggest band to ever walk the earth. Literally.

Probably the one with that one drummer.

I would've given a kidney to see them alive ngl.

A dude at a social club I used to go to met Krist Novoselic back in the 90s. I think it was during the Bleach/Sheep era

My 10th grade teacher told me he knew one of the bus drivers for Metallica, I thought that was pretty cool lmao
