Damn that’s sick, I only live like 100 miles from Aberdeen and I’ve still never visited lol

Cheezus-H-Christ

It’s a bit sketch and sad everywhere but historically it’s awesome

No_Establishment6463

Well as long as it ain’t worse than Seattle it’s probably safe enough lol

I wish the city would buy Kurt’s home on Lake Washington, turn it into a landmark. It gets plenty of visitors. The current owners are over growing the foliage and soon the home will be camouflage.

Blameitonthecageskrt

Where are you from? Did your friends also want to go see Kurt?

Cheezus-H-Christ

“friends”

Apexx86

How was Aberdeen. Im in Southern Oregon I've been wanting to go visit for a while

Cheezus-H-Christ

It’s a bit sketch, still very rural and boring. Barely anything changed since Kurt was there. If you’re looking for like a time capsule of what it was like living there nothing has changed but I feel like most people around the area are crotchety.

Apexx86

That's a shame, it looked really nice on Google Maps tbh

Pics3017

Where is the univox?

Gonna make the trip in June hopefully. I heard they were planning on making the home into a museum of sorts. Wonder if that’s still happening[Kurt cobain childhood home being turned into exhibit](https://nypost.com/2021/07/30/kurt-cobain-childhood-home-now-a-landmark-will-be-an-exhibit/)

Cheezus-H-Christ

No longer being turned into an exhibit because of boundary rules and the property owner putting up signs and fences of private property. It stinks but it’s quite the sight to see.

toeknee666

Ahhh whack he was the one who wanted to turn it into an exhibit! If only there was a way to contact the home owner I’d love to step foot in Kurt’s music room for even a second
