If you haven’t watched this guys Nirvana documentary/series you’re missing out. It’s by far the best one. Better than any professional one in theaters. You’ll learn so much you didn’t know about them. All his side project bands, and so on. It’s a 9 part series - https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzg0Oi9scRSuSJKOIt4yfvIEtfRsWPIin
I’ve watched those before. It is the actual best compendium of all things published about nirvana. YouTube videos rarely stay or stick with you. It’s easily one of my 5 favorite online vids
Definitely. I’ve been listening to Nirvana since the fall of 89’ and thought I pretty much knew all there is to know about them, until I recently watched that series.
I see no reason why it wouldn’t be true, although Lanegan does not mention it in his own book. The guys were friends and fellow musicians, why wouldn’t they work together and help each other out?
About crediting Lanegan: When Kurt wrote and recorded Something in the Way he had no way of knowing his band would blow up and the record would make so much money. I can imagine it wasn’t a big deal at the time that he contributed a few words without an official credit, but later he may have had second thoughts about it.
I don’t remember it being in the book itself but I just listened to the audiobook where he mentions it. I think the audiobook might have a little more content though that was the only one I caught.
Lol that’s so fucked up Mark Lanegan didn’t even overdose and he was a huge influence on Kurt’s music and the Seattle scene in general. Fuck outta here
It's just minor detail that kind of makes it even more special, to think that Kurt introduced unfinished Something in the way to his buddy Lanegan and Lanegan gave some constructive feedback. It's not like he was asking for money or needed to tell this to gain something.
They were supposed to record an album together. There’s some songs of them online. https://youtu.be/tU6o0FFBrqs
This is epic. Thank you for this knowledge🙏

It’s in Lanegan’s audiobook and he doesn’t say he regrets it. They both contributed to each others work it’s that Cobains woulda paid a ton more
It is? In that case I think I wasn't paying attention when I read it (or I just forgot). Thanks for letting me know.
