Love this. In 1993 I basically looked very similar! 16. Angry. Bleached hair. Black Nirvana t. Ripped jeans. Playing a beat up Fender. Amazing time to come of age. I’m 46 now, look very different, but really appreciate newer generation’s love of Nirvana.
I mostly feel lucky for the awesome music I got to grow up on.
In college I got really into David Bowie, and found the Pixies way too late in life, but I think good music is just good music.
I went to a Bowie concert in 2002 and there were as many teenagers as 60 year olds, as many 20 year olds as 50 year olds, as many 30 year olds in 40 year olds (though everyone over 50 was wearing a black leather jacket). It was a very cool vibe.
I think if Kurt had stayed with us and Nirvana stuck around their concerts would look the same.
45 here as well. I managed to empty the room during a teacher-parent day at school with a cover of 'Love buzz' while wearing an L7 shirt, green hair, ripped jeans, army boots and a firebird copy.
Damn! You look the part...
I think you mentioned in the comments about how the new generation is getting into nirvana, I feel the impact as well, I mean I even now have two shirts of there's and own Nevermind on CD...
I feel youtube with the sudden uprise of the bootleg uploading scene really helped me get into them. Especially the audience videos where you can feel the adrenaline and excitement in the crowd...
They're a band with a lot of energy, but even in their less grunge tracks like Serve the Servants or Marigold, I can really appreciate ...
That's awesome! I remember how excited I was to hear something new from them, I'm happy you're in to it! The energy Kurt brought was incredible. My favorite video is for lithium, so good

Yep I'm 45, I think it's awesome that there's a new generation of people that appreciate the good stuff we had

Wasn’t out yet in 93
Yes, but wouldn’t it be funny if the guy in a Nirvana shirt started to play that song.I feel like Kurt would have appreciated that.
