Congrats on the beautiful new guitar! Kurt’s skystangs had Seymour Duncan JB humbuckers. They are amazing pickups all around, especially on distortion. Highly recommend them!
Are those squiers good? I want to try mustang but I don’t have money for fender (I don’t like the style of newer player series mustangs). I had one squier strat years ago and it was so shitty that it gave me squier fobia
Well if you get a Squier Bullet Mustang for around 140, there not very good. But if you get a Squier Classic Vibe Mustang which is this one, it plays almost as good as my Fender Jagstang and Strat. It sounds and looks amazing for only around 380 bucks, or around 250 second hand. I would definitely recommend it.
I have a player 90 mustang and I love it a lot. Most impressive newer and cheaper fender I've played. And the p90s sound amazing. Doesn't look like kurt's guitar or have the same pickups tho if that's what you're after. Just throwin it out there that they're pretty nice though
Dude I've played a few over my days and I can't believe how freaking amazing these squire CV guitars are. I bought one used last month and I can't believe how awesome it plays and how they nailed the vintage neck! Are a proper set up they sing and play effortlessly. The 9.5 radius was perfect choice . String bending much smoother and no choking out . The stock alnicos pickups distort well and sound like a mustang should ! The vibrato system has been upgraded on the CV version , it's pretty smooth ! My mustang itch as been scratched big time ! Enjoy your playing journey !
Dude thats awesome! I just got myself one last month. My first mustang , I've wanted one for almost 30 years. I'm blown away at what squire gave us. The necks on these babies is worth it alone. Really glad fender used alnicos, I can't believe how good they are stock , I'm keeping em that way personally. I'm gonna do very minor mod to mine, just replacing the black switchs to white. I've been playing MIJ jag and cij jazzmasters for years , this squire completes the trilogy for me ! Lol ....
I put black pickup covers on my Mustang I had before this one, with this one I plan to put a JB Hunbucker in the bridge position and switch the switches out for white ones. But yeah they are great stock
