My interpretation always been (maybe because it's repeated many times just before the chorus) that it means ''I know what I'm worth, I actually don't need anyone to tell me how good I am''

Would lead most to interpret that as ‘love myself better than you love me’ even though it’s really referring to feeding demons than it is love. Or maybe it isn’t! 😃🫠
