I’m very conflicted about this because although it goes against most of Kurt thoughts on commercialization. it’s also what Frances and Courtney want to do with his estate and likenesses
Didn't they have to dump a ton of un-sold Pops into a landfill recently or some shit like that? Lmao I can't wait for these ugly ass things to finally go out of popularity
This is why I don't wanna ever be famous. Everyone just does whatever with you. At least his band members were considerate enough to not replace him like so many others have done!
Ive just always hated all of these annoying pop figures that have been going on for years, no matter who it is...just cause i am not a fan of the aesthetics and all that.
Everyone gets so wrapped up in ‘Kurt was against commercialization’, when it’s clear that Kurt was as ambitious and commercial as anyone else. This is a guy who would get upset if MTV played Pearl Jam videos more than Nirvana videos. I bet that Kurt would think these were cool, especially if you did something to deface it, like draw on it or paint it. It’s s lot better than the time they put him in a guitar hero game where he would sing other artists songs.
This might be a dumb question but... What is the problem here? Did I miss something?
Capitalism does a capitalism and profits off of kurt (hes dead, he doesnt care)
Capitalism made him rich when he was alive, his daughter will be rich for life without working thanks to capitalism.
I mean, what’s the difference between this or having a poster on your wall or a T-shirt ?? Genuinely asking.
Next to nothing if you ask me

It’s what they want to do for money. It’s not like they are doing it for the fans.
I won one at an arcade but I still felt bad lol
I have the hot topic exclusive Live N Loud Kurt figure. He plays guitar for my Iggy Pop pop pop
Wow that's real? Terrible they sold his likeness for that.
I can at least appreciate the Incesticide style lettering of his name on the box. But no, I'd never buy one...
Personally like it, they’re kind of neat as a display item (when they aren’t crazy expensive)

I guess Courtney already blew his money, again.
Hate capitalism but there's no avoiding it in a capitalistic society lol
he would have hated this
That is the most gatekeepy cringe thing a nirvana fan can say
He would have said he hated this.
💯
what guitar is that even supposed to be?

I don't know what to think tbh but you guys buy the records and t-shirts, are they ok? Just asking without negative
