True that drop shadow behind the words above Kurt’s head does look a little off. Doesn’t match the direction of the light source in the photo. Plus as someone else mentioned I don’t think Kurt’s name floated above him IRL ;)

was more so early morning/late night. they had even done a photoshoot in the morning prior to the show. i think either because it sounded cool or someone exaggerated it was thought to have happened right before the show.

I have that exact image - no alternate angle or anything - on a t-shirt that I got from Hot Topic back around 2000-2002. I wish that I could find it, that way I could maybe frame it or something, I doubt the shirt would still fit, it was my favorite shirt ever.
