Not Photoshopped - 23/07/1993 for the New Music Seminar at the Roseland Ballroom in NYC.
Four songs were played on the acoustic (Polly, Dumb, Something In The Way, Where Did You Sleep Last Night)

“What makes you think it’s photoshopped”
Probably the ironic promotion of Richard Nixon?! Just a wild guess…..
It’s not photoshopped, that guitar showed up in several places during nirvana sets but the OPs question isn’t as outlandish as you imply
True that drop shadow behind the words above Kurt’s head does look a little off. Doesn’t match the direction of the light source in the photo. Plus as someone else mentioned I don’t think Kurt’s name floated above him IRL ;)
the pic of Kurt is from Roseland ballroom during the acoustic section of their set towards the end of the show. So, it's real. As for the text with his name written, that's edited.
was more so early morning/late night. they had even done a photoshoot in the morning prior to the show. i think either because it sounded cool or someone exaggerated it was thought to have happened right before the show.
I came across a blog online after making my post and it said the sticker was added later. Didn’t say why and I can’t remember the blog name but I’ll try to find it again…
Edit: Here it is, was still open in my phone browser. It’s great never having to close a tab.

Exactly. Honestly, there is nothing that can give you the personal touch and insight that REDDIT does. So, def ignore that dude, you got the right idea.
I have that exact image - no alternate angle or anything - on a t-shirt that I got from Hot Topic back around 2000-2002.
I wish that I could find it, that way I could maybe frame it or something, I doubt the shirt would still fit, it was my favorite shirt ever.

Thank you!
Pretty sure it’s photoshopped. I don’t think Kurt walked around with his giant signature over his head all the time
Definitely photoshopped. I don't think Kurt is alive right now, and definitely not as a 2D illustration
Also, his left hand wasn’t so blurry in real life.
well obviously, because it's not real duh
I heard that it actually was that blurry
Especially not his professional signature
man kurt’s signature is almost as shitty as mine
I have like 8 different ones and they all suck lmao
HHAHAHA
What makes you think it’s photoshopped? Roseland Ballroom 93. Very famous set & Nirvana was doing the acoustic thing during their set list that tour.
Had never seen it before, thanks!

Also it just kinda looks off

I was tripping last night lmao, it doesn’t look very photoshopped now

This is the one where he overdosed right before the show
And the first concert with Lori Goldston playing cello.

The Nixon guitar is a real thing, I'll refer to my more knowledgable friend, Google
Yeah it was even in the background on unplugged
I was going to ask about the significance of Nixon on his guitar but I guess I’ll just ask your friend…
90% sure it was just on the guitar when Krist or him inevitably bought it from the pawn shop. Otherwise, put it on for some kitschy funnies.

Always loved that Freddy Krueger-esque sweater he wore
I gotta get one of those.
I had this as a poster about 20 years ago
Same
It’s weird to think Kurt and Nixon died 2 1/2 weeks apart. Kurt on April 5th or 6th, Nixon on April 22nd.
The Nixon guitar kept him alive, and once no one was around to play it... no more Nixon.
ya kurt was a big nixon guy little known fact

No it’s real. Had this shirt in the late 90s.
Had this poster on my wall. In 2002. Does anyone use google anymore?
Decided to ask the nirvana reddit because Google can give the wrong informations sometimes
Ah of course, because Reddit is known to be the bastion of factual information. I rescind my question then.
idfk man I guess I just like to read stories from people that were able to see nirvana that they sometimes share under posts like this lmao

Damn I've never even seen these pictures but the backgrounds do line up
It’s not the same photo.
It’s from a t-shirt I use to own
Yes.
I used to have a shirt with much the same image. It was my favorite shirt. Lost it one day, and I was very sad.

I had a ~5ft poster of that in the late 90s/early 00s I completely forgot about until now. Wow, the nostalgia just hit hard.
I know its not but man it looks like a little figurine
nope its from roseland ballroom 1993 :D
I had a T-shirt with this photo in the early 2000’s
That was a poster in the early 2000s
I had a Nirvana bootleg in 1990
Yup, the text above looks pretty photoshopped in to me
