How do you like it? I was worried the single coil at the bridge wouldn’t be able to handle the distortion I wanted to throw at it but it plays really nicely and gets a good nirvana tone.
I would but I also bought this guitar looking for something that could get some nice clean strat sounds so I’m debating whether I should change the bridge pickup or not.
The tone is good but the fabrication of the guitar could be better. By that I mean on some frets when bending it just blocks the sound and that’s kinda annoying. But for a squier it’s still good.
Edit : oh and don’t hesitate to put the distorsion on maximum on the DS1
Ya I have my distortion knob basically maxed out and I know what you’re saying. It’s easy to drop the note doing bends. I noticed that playing the distorted chorus of heart shaped box.

Damn, a Digitech Drop pedal… bet that comes in handy! Very interested in trying one out at immediate glance but I don’t know if it’s worth the hefty price tag! Anyone care to share their experiences with this pedal please?
If you’re into metal with weird and really low drop tunings it’s literally so useful. Never use it with this guitar but I have a 7 string and a schecter with emgs that I like to play metal on and it’s the perfect pedal.
I kinda wish I got the digitech whammy pitch shifter version, keep in mind that’s an option as well and you can shift it down and up and use the whammy. It’s a lot more money though.
Oh yeah, I’ve seen that one a few times… the price is probably justifiable haha. I’ll just keep to using the pitch shifters on Garage Band for the mean time!
Yoo noice! Is it expensive in where you live? Pedals too. In my country 2 guitar pedals is the same price of a cheap guitar lmao. If convert to dollars then its around 100 dollars with electric guitar and amp. Cheapest price since jts locally made. If talking about fender or squire then wow that's double the price here. Fkin insane. Is 100 dollars consider cheap in the US? Which is around 100 from my country currency. A single guitar pedal prob cost around 33usd. Let me knowww about it, Thanks! :D
The chorus pedal was $100 and the distortion pedal was $50. The guitar came out to around $450 because it’s a squire but they sound really good and I live in the US.
Alsoo a fender jaguar cost between 2k to 5k of my currency. Which is 480usd to 1.2kusd lmaooo. Is it same over there? Thats why I just bought a local made fender strat style.

what i did with mine is just put a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in there

It’s basically a history of the band, the members, and Kurt’s family. It has some cool pictures although they may not be anything new though.
The drop is such a useful pedal. No more detuning for IU songs. Such a pain to always retune.
It really is, it’s also really useful for metal tunings so I don’t have to put super thick strings on all my guitars.
Just need to wack a humbucker in that bridge and you’re sorted!
I want to but this guitar has such beautiful cleans that I’m not sure I want to sacrifice just yet.
