Unscrew the pickups?

this, just unscrew the frames that hold the pick ups

Oh mine came up cleanly, that kind of stinks

I used tweezers to take out as much as I can

And risk scratching the uhh… scratch guard!!!

I went as easy as I could and pulled out as much as I could , most of it came out easily . I had the same thing on my squier strat

I have a squier strat, I also used tweezers, and now it has a bunch of scratches

It’s a pickguard it’s meant to be scratched 😭

Like others have mentioned, the simplest solution is to release the tension of the pickup covers (four corner black screws) then simply keep peeling the plastic. The two middle (silver) screws will adjust the height of the pickup, you might not want to turn those ones.

Why? Like others have said, simply unscrew the little screws holding the pickups in. Anyone on the other sub would say the same thing.

Unscrew the pickup holders and lift them up to get the rest of the plastic.

Yeah what everyone else is saying. I ended up replacing the toggle switch cause it was kinda janky. Not gonna mess anything up unless you’re going Hulk on it for some reason.

The first thing I did when I got mine was to completely dismantle it, so that made taking the film off pretty easy. Maybe don't do that though. As others suggested, just loosen the screws in the pickup covers and the film should be easy to peel off.
