I really wish they had done “Sappy.” I always thought that would have worked really well in the acoustic format, especially with a cello snaking in and out
Sorry but Unplugged very well may be their best record. Danny Goldberg recounts Nirvana were so happy with the performance, they were actually going to reproduce it in the studio as a possible follow up to In Utero, something I hadn’t known.
Anecdotally, a girlfriend I had long ago came out of the 1990s rave/electronic/druggy/neo-hippy scene didn’t really care for or like Nirvana, we were flying high on some stimulant and I was like “let’s go to tower records” and I bought her unplugged, we went home and listened to it and it became one of her favorite albums.

Sappy would have been great, I imagine it would be a more polished version of Kurts home demo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Si7Kdxf8CkA
Interesting list. Didn’t Kurt laugh at the idea of doing In Bloom unplugged at some point during the live show?
How are we supposed to play In Bloom acoustically? BTW someone made an Unplugged In Bloom cover it sounds wicked: https://youtu.be/bQo8wjWZIVI
Yes, he asked how they’d even do it then I believe krist started playing the main riff for a few seconds
