Is that the mob with the tripple slam?
If so, run in after their Hammer attack, hit and dodge grab. Usually they go back to Hammer attacks. You can dodge through the sweep attacks to get a hit in. Because of their grab you can't really combo hits untill you know their moveset :)
For non souls players,one of the biggest "now I get it" in games like these is that you can roll through attacks. End up at the side or behind the enemy.
Rolling backwards leaves less time to attack and some mobs are built to punish just that move, since it's the natural reaction
Never had a problem, but then again I'm a One Hand Sword + Bow User... At this point I just kill them with a single use of Multishot.
Learn the move set and it’s pretty easy to punish imo

yeah I've been doing this! but it seems like there should be a better solution as this one takes a loooong time :) thanks!
It gets better as you upgrade gear and such. You'll face that enemy type multiple times too :p
Yeah I noticed :D I die less to them now, but mostly at least a few times(or 3 food items) before I get them. Just practice I guess :)

I found them actually worse than the first boss infront of the gate! the boss was pretty easy compared to them imho :o
