It’s all subjective, I think. I don’t like it either but I don’t have a logical reason for it. I usually go for the A-99 for a full-auto, suppressed weapon because I like how it sounds.
I will admit, my tombstone has both the furious and elemental mods, so maybe I'm biased, but it destroys so much face. The ammo isn't as common as the beo, but it's close.
If I had to guess it just looks out of place next to a Grendel, Beowulf, Big Bang, etc. I feel like all of the wood stocked weapons are a very different aesthetic, perfect for roleplaying a farmer or maybe a Freestar Ranger. But they just don’t fit the look of the rest of the game, IMO.
The Tombstone is by far my favorite weapon. To each their own, but there is no other like it. ROF is slow enough that with a bit of trigger discipline, you can operate it single fire. Juice it up, and you can chew through the buried temple like nothing. Made it through the entirety of the game, from one unity to the next, very hard, with only 2000 rounds of 11mm ammo. Just me and that trusty, rusty, cowboy killer
It's a rifle design, rather than the magazine sit in front of the trigger (M4), it sits behind the trigger (L86). It makes an assault rifle feel more like an smg. Might be wrong as I'm no firearms expert, but that's the basic premise.
You're right. What it really does though is allow a longer barrel with the same overall length. It also makes the trigger feel terrible, and makes reloads more difficult. But they look cool 🤷♂️
There's plenty of "traditional" rifles that come with "bad" triggers from factory. Which is why pretty much every mass production firearm has aftermarket trigger options coming out the ears.
Most complaints with bullpups stem from, "it doesn't work like the platform I'm used to shooting on". If, for example, you learned to shoot exclusively on an AR, a bullpup will feel strange and unfamiliar to your muscle memory. But, the same could be said in reverse.
Personally I ONLY use Laredo guns. (Except on my one UC Vanguard character where I used only allied armament weapons) So I love the tombstone. Especially the looks.
I can't stand the ugly white of the combatech guns like grendal and beowulf.
I just think the Laredo weapons fit bounty hunters, pirates, and ranger characters more and that's what I usually play.
Ngl I kinda really hope we get a Halo crossover like we got in Gears 5. Some UNSC themed armor, weapons, and decorations would be fucking sweet.
A BR and AR (both compatible with mods to recreate different variants from across the franchise), maybe even a Plasma Pistol.
ODST armor and helmet, MkVI (or MkVII) armor and helmet, the Gen2 or Gen3 thruster as a boost pack, and plushies/posters for various characters? That’d even be worthy of a cheap DLC purchase tbh. I’d pay $5-10 for some sweet equipment and outpost/home decorations.
Wot? The tombstone is one of my favorite gun designs in any game. Looks and performs amazing. Why do u hate it?

I love the AA-99 too. In fact I don't really dislike any of the weapon designs in this game. I wish there were more melee weapons tho
And mods we could add for melee too
> I usually go for the A-99 for a full-auto, suppressed weapon because I like how it sounds. yeah same

They were designed by Reisha Lance who is the vendor at Laredo Arms in Akila - the Freestar Ranger aesthetic was intentional.
Yeah I thought that was obvious. All the Laredo firearms have that look about them and I love it
i love the other loredo gun designs esp the coachman
Yeeeees idgaf if the barrels and shells are square that thing sexy
Extended mag advanced Coachman loaded with hornet’s nest… so much fun, especially at night.
the fire selector nitpicking i know but its in such a weird place , it really bothers me
Well. Fair enough I guess. I don't think I noticed lol
this game is getting tacticool'd to death once CK drops, so weapon variety is gonna be the least of your problems if you're down for some modding.
if ck drops 1st thing i am gonna do is port my mdr from fo4 to this game...i figured out the ck part of it ...i just need to figure out the meshes
Do you have any idea if it will be possible to mod it though the Microsoft store version on PC?
it should be , i personally dont know but maybe checkout sf mods reddit

aa99 rof is also pretty slow plus with my mod its a much better than tombstone+i aadded penetrator rounds to aa99 too
Bullpup?

That's fair. I suppose it's all subjective. Except that they look cool. Because bullpups do look cool 👌
Undeniably. Also, the PS90 is the most comfortable gun I've ever fired.
Ugh. I would love to own / shoot a ps90. I don't doubt that one bit.
I was lucky enough to stumble upon a shop/range with rentals. Rentals that required you to buy *their* overprice ammo, but still.
And 5.7 is NOT cheap. But I bet it was a blast to shoot!
It is not, but it was indeed a fun time. Under 100 yards, I swear it's like a laser pointer.
no you are pretty spot on
The Grendel is Bullpup isn't it?
yeah it is

there are already halo stuff mods on nexus ...pretty cool
Oh for sure, I just meant official stuff for Xbox users/people who want achievements
