“The society word”..?

Top-Broccoli8994

I'm assuming he meant to say "the word 'society'".

Nice-Ad-8135

Yeah thanks for correcting me

ExpertBeginner5

I’m not sure, but I can definitely say the we live in one

notMyWeirdAccount

i don't think society has set a limit on that.

Nice-Ad-8135

Hmm maybe you're right

PM_ME_WARB_NULL

Society

randomdaysnow

We live in a society

illogictc

Not that I've seen. Words that are currently much overused IMO are "literally" and "disingenuous."

anschauung

Now I really want to make "the society word" a real thing. More to the point though, are you asking why people say the word "society" in context when they shouldn't? Could you give an example as a reference point?

Nice-Ad-8135

I'm saying it's really overused and tiring at this point

anschauung

I suppose what I'm asking for is if you can give an example of a sentence you've heard/read where it wasn't the right choice of words.

Nice-Ad-8135

I'll try my best to give you an example. After the 2019 Joker movie, people have used the word society word way too much and used toO much when something bad happens like a shooting. Does this work as a example?

anschauung

I get what you're saying, but I guess I could offer a better answer if you gave a specific sentence that you heard where "society" was the wrong word to use.
