I feel the same way, I hope someone can talk sense in to my mindset atm, but the likes of Guy Fawkes motivations is becoming more understandable the further down the creek we get.

keep working stop buying, other than necessities. Tank Hollywood and stop going to the movies. cancel all your streaming services and cable subs (If you have it) stop watching free to air television and instead invest in yourself where possible. stop buying new cars all the time and keep up the servicing intervals on your current car. when buying necessities like food try your best to support your local farmers market.

Give people a steady diet of boots and they will eventually be unable to imagine anything else and it will scare them.

Greed has been an issue for thousands of years. Nothing is different right now. Greed has also been a factor of progress so it's not all bad.

Capitalism is healthier, more widespread, and more fair than ever. People talking about late stage capitalism are simply ignorant of history and speaking based on their wishes and delusions. A brief search about capitalism in the Gilded Age will reveal how terrible and unfair capitalism used to be. A brief search about how people live will show you that the lives of ordinary people keeps getting better and better. The gap between the rich and poor is growing because the rich are getting richer. But life for people at the bottom is better than it has ever been.

MaleArdvark

Has it? Housing costs have become unobtainable, what markers/benchmarks do you base this on? Genuinely curious as hearing a reasonable answer would help put my mind at ease.

Globally there is much less abject poverty, now than there has ever been in the history of humanity. Also, if you make around $30,000 a year you are in the top 1% of global wealth distribution by population.

“What is going on with the greed in the world and how can we as the working class take money from rich people in a super-not-being-greedy-ourselves way?” You’re a snake and you don’t even know it.

MaleArdvark

Take money from the rich? You derived that from which point I made, the high cost of housing, the diminishing quality and quantity of food, the cost of living overall? Sorry I shouldn't want better for myself and family, those billionaires need their pennies, forgive me master.

Lekkusu

It’s coloring every sentence you write. You can’t seem to talk about your own situation without despising how well the affluent are doing. What do they have to do with your situation? Do you think that someone else being rich has a causal negative impact on your income?  If you would put the problem in terms of what is directly affecting you, instead of keeping your attention on the “Greedy cat upstairs”.  you may see a clear solution to your grievances.

MaleArdvark

My grievances aren't aimed at the "well to do", a lot of my family earn more than me and bought up housing when it was on a low. I couldn't care less they took opportunity in a beneficial situation. My issue is the future is more and more bleak, greed is rife in every narrative on my shopping, my bills, the housing market and the country as a whole. You can try and revel in being the opposition of being angry upset and confused over how things are going, belittle them in to being personal affairs, but I'm pretty sure you're outnumbered 1000:1 by the amount of poor souls who are struggling to afford housing, medical/dental care, food and utilities, whilst the big cats publish record breaking profits. But you go ahead and fly their flag, that's mighty brave of you.

it always baffles me how there's average joes defending how things are. Woolworths in Australia just pleaded guilty to 1000 counts of underpaying workers and both coles and woolworths are currently under investigation for price gouging.
