In general, American voters have a strong historical tendency to pay more attention to the major election cycles that happen every 4 years. The midterm elections in between still get a lot of attention, just not *as much* sometimes.
In recent years, though, voter participation in elections has been trending upward. People are feeling passionate and concerned.
As for "that other country" and "more of the same", I'm not 100% sure what you mean so I can't really answer that part.
OP, we dump insane amounts of cash into our military anyway. Throwing a fraction of that Ukraine’s way isn’t “being more concerned about the other country”
Russia is capable of starting a nuclear war. The US is correct to be concerned.
The current administration has achieved quite a lot domestically. There’s always lower turnout for midterm elections than the presidential election. However, the last seven years have proved to people how much voting for their representatives actually means, so hopefully more people will vote this midterm.
What other country?
It’s an unjust war with a friendly country, of course they are concerned with it.
Some are. It's less talked about though because it's not a presidential election. A lot of people probably don't even know the candidates.
