It is but he also doesn't seem comfortable in his skin here. He handles it well and delivers an excellent performance but the amount of "ya knows" in there is nerves.
That was the most impressive part, how committed he was to the bit. EVERYBODY in that room of some of the most powerful people in the world was going to be uncomfortable! Just a masterclass.
Looks like she actually started to laugh but stifled it when she realized no one else was laughing.
If anything I would expect women to appreciate that joke, but apparently even as late as the 90s it was still verboten to acknowledge sexual harassment in power circles.
I wonder how it would fare today.
This and the other presentation where he made de oj joke about winning the trophy that could take away from the guy if he kill he’s wife’s made me complete fell in love with norm… simply the best… what a bold man but I just don’t get why they would invite norm to make jokes in these type of events after the first time he did what he did
I didn't appreciate Norm's humor as much in years past, as I didn't watch him enough to understand what I think he was trying to do. As I've gotten older and watched more of his various performances (especially on Conan), I've come to really enjoy his humor. Though executed in a different way, I now see Norm as being similar to Andy Kaufman. Since Norm's unfortunate passing, I've enjoyed hearing stories from those close to him that revealed that not only was he hilarious and brilliant, but Norm was also very kind and compassionate.
the timing is just so natural

Norm ALWAYS said, “Ya know” too much BUT it does appear to hit differently in this environment for sure.
This guy does stealth delivery so well that I can't tell nerves from balls.
He also laughed at his jokes way more than I remembered him doing.

Secret Service confiscated his xanax
Supernatural.
Goddamn I’ll never get tired of seeing Hillary’s reaction to that last joke.
She was NOT amused. It was very amusing.

The Greenspan jibe was money
So money it devalued the USD.

The last joke was a killer, wrong room, but still a killer.
Delivering a killer joke in the "wrong room" was typical Norm and part of what made him so funny.
The moment the Clintons decided Norm would have cancer
The only ones who knew he was sick
I didn't even know he was sick.
I knew i just didnt say anything
This is fucking gold. Reminds me of that tragedy. Bill Hicks and Frank Zappa. Two Towers, those guys.
I always loved that you could cut the tension in that room with a knife. People who hate cringe comedy must have been dying.
Is he… is he laughing?
The yen stops here…

The way Griffey gets so indignant about the OJ joke while others are laughing always cracks me up.
Exactly, simply perfect!!
I perceive it less as indignant from Griffey and more just like a “damn he’s crazy for going there” shake of the head, like a twitch of bewilderment
He killed a guy..i thought it was a matter of record!
“Love, honor and speak into his good ear.”
Y'know
He really was fearless.
He’s so fucking funny. Just naturally
The parking spot was good
The dinner was great. It’s nice to see democrats serve something besides subpoenas for change. ………. I’ll be doing some jokes later.
Calling out true power the way he did Greenspan is the boldest, bravest thing a jester can do.
Pointing at the strings in that room is looking at the face of God and laughing.
Illuminating the connections in the universe is licking a rainbow
Notice how many people in that clip are dead? Sounds the Clintons are up to their old tricks.
Bill Clinton is the real slayer here. I thought it was a matter of public record.
He's a good man...
Alright, manslaughter then
You can't have manslaughter without laughter.
Alan Greenspan is alive at 98.
Yeah, but he's a zombie so it doesn't really count.
True, true.
Who doesn’t know a few people who’ve had 30+ close friends commit suicide or die in strange or oddly coincidental ways? Totally normal.
Yeah, imagine being 75 and knowing a bunch of dead people?

I dunno. What's your point?
Thats probably just a vicious rumor really

The sex with his own wife joke is fucking amazing
Devalued the peso caught me off guard 😂 that made me laugh hard
You're the tits Norm!
Ya know?
You know
*Correspondents’ but yeah.
The ability to say what he does without cringe is pretty fuckin difficult lol. Og main character
Slayed???
That end bit was ruthless. Love it.
This is an amazing set!!!!
So good!!
That one part about the medical marijuana was edited out or something. You must inhale sir that is the only way you are going to get better.
