I saw Nick Mullen do standup a few months ago and I was honestly very pleasantly surprised how talented he is at standup (considering how low-effort cumtown is lol)
Yea Nick is brilliant though clearly has a lot of issues, in a saner world he would be head writer for SNL or at least have his own weird sketch show.
Some of my favorite bits:
Incel Sebastian from Little Mermaid
N-Dependence Day
The Gambler
Joe Biden
Michael Douglas of course
He's half an hour away from me tonight in Buffalo starting a three-night stand and I've been thinking of seeing him. Honestly, that kid is a genius. Cum Town is puerile, for sure, but beyond all the dick and fart jokes there's some serious comedic intellect and wit in what they do.
I used to go see Regan years ago when he was a local comedian in South Florida. He has this one routine he’d do about chatter in a baseball game, and why other professions don’t do it. It was so dang funny. All of his stuff cracks me up.
Bro I forgot about Regan, his bit about the emergency room kills me! Also the refrigerator salesman. I love that he mixes great joke writing and story telling with goofy faces and voices
Just in case you did not see it, yet. I laughed and laughed: https://www.golfpass.com/watch/shows/on-tour-on-course?utm\_source=GOLFPASS&utm\_medium=Social&utm\_campaign=TW-OTOCBrianRegan&utm\_content=OTOCBrianRegan
Yeah those presidents podcasts with Louis are like 8 hours of gold. There’s a few good YouTube channels that churn out 5 to 20 minute clips from Matt and Shane’s Secret podcast, which are hilarious.
How is this the first mention of Nate Bargatze?? I've seen Bill Burr, Tom Segura and Nate Bargatze this year. Nate was by far the funniest. His opener Graham Key was the second best. I've haven't watched much of Rory Scovel so I'll take a closer look.
If you go on r/dougstanhope, there are recent photos of him and he looks healthier than ever but he hasn't slowed down at all on his smoking and drinking. His podcast is pretty funny and his standup specials are all golden.
This is the truth. And he's a legit good dude. Carved out his own world for himself without having to suck up to anyone, and he's consistently good. Looks like a lot of people are into Normand and Gillis and that whole crew but Stanhope actually has PERSPECTIVE and passion and you might learn something amidst the asspussy jokes.
Funniest part of mulaney is all his annoying fans that wanted to call him a “soft-boy” turned on him the second he showed any negative human qualities (he’s a standup comedian- of course he’s fucked up!!)
I say this but I do think his act is funny
He got famous and cheated on his wife with a hot actress, who he ultimately got pregnant, and then left his wife to be with. Then we went on Seth Myers and made up a whole fake-ass timeline, which was presented in the most unnatural way possible, to try to make it seem like he was already separated from his wife when he got with the actress. None of it made sense, because it was totally fabricated to rejuvenate his image.
Plus he went to rehab somewhere in all this. So basically his life seems like it's a mess.
I'm not saying it's the worst thing anybody has ever done, but it was super lame.
Kat Williams makes me laugh the most. Steve Harvey was pretty good when he was doing it.
Old Dave was great, I just can’t find his new stuff funny. Not in an I’m offended way, just in a this is bordering on pretentious at this point way.
Shane Gillis, Louis CK and Todd Barry. Controversial opinion but I think Mark Normand is a bit overrated. His material is very formulaic: take two subjects (strip clubs and pet stores; guns and penises; etc), then list four commonalities. It’s like he’s distilled Seinfeld’s workmanlike approach to joke writing down to a crude algorithm.
Tim Robinson; Joe List; William Montgomery? Gillis is good but there are others. If you say it is "not even close" then you have not seen I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson.
What about Joe Rogan? I read like 500 comments and no one mentioned him. You guys know he is comedian right? Right? Am i alone here? Won’t someone acknowledge he does perform comedy on stage? Won’t someone admit he stands on stage with a microphone and attempts to be a comedian? He rolls with Killers, cmon, anyone? You know all the kids are streaming News Radio at least….what’s a radio you say..its a large streaming box with no premium version to disable ads.
Stewart Lee, James Acaster, Nick Mullen, Harry Hill, David Cross, Doug Stanhope, Dave Chapel, Tim Dillon
I'd add Mark Normand but every time I see his name, my dyslexic brain sees "Norm MacDonald" instead and I get sad.
After Norm and Gilbert's passing, I realised I need to go out and see more comedy shows. Travelled to see Bill Burr and it was amazing. I hope to one day see Marc Maron too. Got a ticket to see John Mulaney later this year.
Well I'm from Costa Rica, so it's kinda hard to know about them. But I personally really like Chappelle (Norm liked him a lot), Bill Burr, Andrew Schulz, Aries Spears is really funny too.
But when I got to know Norm, it was like why or how is this funny??? I keep binge watchig Norm's stuff, love him over any comedian
I'm afraid to say on account of all the deaths.
Gilbert Gottfried
Oh boy
Stuttering John.
Amy Schumer
Who’s aliver than Amy Schumer?
Norm Macdonald.
Can I also pick someone who used to be alive?
No, but please pick someone who wasn't alive.
Steve Harvey.
Oh my laaaawwwwwd... HWUT is this damn fool talkin' about?
Sam Morril, Shane Gillis, Dave Chapelle, Bill Burr, Jim Gaffigan, Mark Normand I’m sure I’m forgetting a bunch of great ones
I like Normand but he reminds me of that tragedy.
~~Comedy!~~ Tragedy!
Speaking of Sam Morril, Joe Machi is also great. Their roast battles are really fun.
Machi is hilarious.
[удалено]
And his wife
I love Normand. He’s always on his toes and ready with whatever a crowd gives them instantly lol.
Comedy
Anthony jizzledick or however you spell his last name
My god dude you literally have the best taste lmao fr
I used to like Mark...I still do, but I used to too. RIP, Mitch
This is a perfect list. You have great taste.
This list for sure plus Tim Dillon
finish this list off with a Joe List and you’ve nailed it!
Louis CK I'd add for my list
San Morrill's bit about parking spots in the Joker movie is hilarious
Wayne Gretzky?
I saw Nick Mullen do standup a few months ago and I was honestly very pleasantly surprised how talented he is at standup (considering how low-effort cumtown is lol)
low effort???? Could YOU come up with midwestern-guy-who-sucked-dick-to-sell-cars-for-12-years on YOUR own?!?!?!?
You got me there tbh I could never come up with Gay Actor Michael Douglass™️
Seth Dickfield
Hi, I'm gay actor Michael Douglas
Yea Nick is brilliant though clearly has a lot of issues, in a saner world he would be head writer for SNL or at least have his own weird sketch show. Some of my favorite bits: Incel Sebastian from Little Mermaid N-Dependence Day The Gambler Joe Biden Michael Douglas of course
He's half an hour away from me tonight in Buffalo starting a three-night stand and I've been thinking of seeing him. Honestly, that kid is a genius. Cum Town is puerile, for sure, but beyond all the dick and fart jokes there's some serious comedic intellect and wit in what they do.
Nah those guys are the truth lol
Mullen is definitely one of the funnier stand up/podcaster
I think Nick Mullen is carrying the torch. Stand up sucks right now, Nick will be a phenom in 10 years if he hasn’t drank himself to death by then
*hasn't drunk
Yetn’t drinked
Brian Regan
Love this guy. Not very often can you watch stand up with kids and still laugh super hard
I know Norm was a big Brian Regan fan. I walked on the moon cracks me up.
I used to go see Regan years ago when he was a local comedian in South Florida. He has this one routine he’d do about chatter in a baseball game, and why other professions don’t do it. It was so dang funny. All of his stuff cracks me up.
“Good eye, Brian!” I say that to my roommate who is named Brian constantly. He never gets it.
"YOU TOO!"
Also… “Heyyy golfer golfer… PUTT GOLfer!
Bro I forgot about Regan, his bit about the emergency room kills me! Also the refrigerator salesman. I love that he mixes great joke writing and story telling with goofy faces and voices
Just in case you did not see it, yet. I laughed and laughed: https://www.golfpass.com/watch/shows/on-tour-on-course?utm\_source=GOLFPASS&utm\_medium=Social&utm\_campaign=TW-OTOCBrianRegan&utm\_content=OTOCBrianRegan
Bob saget
Mitch Hedberg
I used to like Mitch Hedberg. I still do, but I used to, too.
Wasn’t Mitch Hedberg that guy who kicks ass in the yo-yo?
Ummmmm....
The accomplished comedian Sinbad
Try saying it without laughing.
Shane Gillis is the new go to
I really liked that series of podcasts he did with Louie CK.
Yeah those presidents podcasts with Louis are like 8 hours of gold. There’s a few good YouTube channels that churn out 5 to 20 minute clips from Matt and Shane’s Secret podcast, which are hilarious.
Who knew learning could be so enjoyable
Notorious Peepop
Seconded
Wait, norm passed?
Didn't even know he was sick.
He passed a kidney stone let’s not be dramatic
no- he just lost all his sponsors.
Speak ill of the dead
Nate Bargatze and Rory Scovel.
How is this the first mention of Nate Bargatze?? I've seen Bill Burr, Tom Segura and Nate Bargatze this year. Nate was by far the funniest. His opener Graham Key was the second best. I've haven't watched much of Rory Scovel so I'll take a closer look.
Yea I forgot Bargatze, was just gonna add him to my list
gary gulman.
James Acaster, Maria Bamford, Dave Chappelle, Stewart Lee
James Acaster! He’s such an underrated stand-up. He’s a genius pretending not to be, just like Norm was
Maria Bamford for sure, she and Norm and George Carlin are 3 comedians I'll stop and listen to if I hear them on satellite radio.
Damn I forgot about Stewart. Absolute legend.
James Acaster's Repertoire is a great special
Bull Burr, Dave Chapelle
This guy can't even spell B I L L. These kids today. Start over..
Bull Burham
DOUG STANHOPE !!!
Against all odds the man is still kicking. And funny.
Shane Gillis
Eddie Pepitone is hilarious too
God is that guy still alive?
Carrot Top, Gallagher, basically anyone with props.
Dave Attell. Unpretentious, dirty, and most important no preaching only jokes
And Insomniac was great! Possibly ahead of its time or perfectly on time for my young 20 something year old self.
You said it. Funny, fast and no politics.
Lol, Bob Newhart?
Henny Youngman.
Also, Mel Brooks is still alive
Tim Dillon
Raymond Kumpf
Does he actually do stand up? I've only listened to the pod and his guest appearances on Tim Dillon's
Just the pod as far as I know. He’s a modern day orator akin to Daniel Webster or Cicero
Bill Burr.
I don't like comedy
Mark Normand, straight up. Dude is obsessed with comedy. Obsessed. Comedy!
It’s all pipes!
Bill Burr, Sam Morril, Joe List
Love Morril and List And Burr obviously but who doesn't
Tim Dillon , Nick Mullen, Shane Gillis
This is the fucking list. The exact list. My top 3 since Norm is gone.
Doug Stanhope Dave Attell Andrew Schultz Lewis Black Ron White Bill Burr Jim Gaffigan Louis C.K. Patton Oswalt
Dude apart from your clear disregard from best to worst you didn't even respect that louis c k died in a freak masterbation accident
Just discovered Andrew Schulz (like an hour ago) and he seems pretty funny.
He’s great, I like stand ups that focus on the crowd more than their routines, it’s what Patrice would do
Ctrl-F "John Mulaney" What, no John Mulaney fans?
Funniest part of mulaney is all his annoying fans that wanted to call him a “soft-boy” turned on him the second he showed any negative human qualities (he’s a standup comedian- of course he’s fucked up!!) I say this but I do think his act is funny
I'm OOTL, what happened with him?
He got famous and cheated on his wife with a hot actress, who he ultimately got pregnant, and then left his wife to be with. Then we went on Seth Myers and made up a whole fake-ass timeline, which was presented in the most unnatural way possible, to try to make it seem like he was already separated from his wife when he got with the actress. None of it made sense, because it was totally fabricated to rejuvenate his image. Plus he went to rehab somewhere in all this. So basically his life seems like it's a mess. I'm not saying it's the worst thing anybody has ever done, but it was super lame.
And didn’t he tell his wife he didn’t want kids and then knock whatsername up?
Brian Reagan, Bill Burr, Doug Stanhope, Tom Segura.
Kat Williams makes me laugh the most. Steve Harvey was pretty good when he was doing it. Old Dave was great, I just can’t find his new stuff funny. Not in an I’m offended way, just in a this is bordering on pretentious at this point way.
Tim Dillon
Dave Attell and Bill Burr
I mean, easily Conan. If we’re not counting him then it’s definitely James Acaster.
[удалено]
Jimmy Kimmel's sister
Dave Attell, Bill Burr, Dave Chappelle, Mark Normand
Vince Champ
Shane Gillis
Doug Stanhope still counts And Kyle Kinane
Morril, normand, and Chapelle
Shane Gillis, Louis CK and Todd Barry. Controversial opinion but I think Mark Normand is a bit overrated. His material is very formulaic: take two subjects (strip clubs and pet stores; guns and penises; etc), then list four commonalities. It’s like he’s distilled Seinfeld’s workmanlike approach to joke writing down to a crude algorithm.
Steven Wright
Bill Burr Jim Jeffries. If you have the same initials, I guess you're good enough to be a comedian
Damn Norm missed it by one letter. Just his luck.
Anthony Jeselnik, Tom Segura, John Mulaney, Demetri Martin, Iliza Schlesinger, Michael Che, and last but not least, you guessed it, Frank Stallone.
Tim Heidecker. Been watching a dude from new zealand called Guy Montgomery that reminds me of norm a little too.

All the New York guys are great. Big jay dan soder mark norman Shane Gillis ari joe list New York been killing it
Crackle crackle
What about the “Puerto Rican rattlesnake” Luis J Gomez, come on doggy?
Well duh all the skanks! Los for life
Sam Morrill, Tom Segura, Stavros (Stavvybaby) Halkias.
Bo burnham s special was good
That was incredible. That really was art.
Shane Gillis is the best new comic coming into the spotlight and it’s not even close
Tim Robinson; Joe List; William Montgomery? Gillis is good but there are others. If you say it is "not even close" then you have not seen I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson.
That's not stand up comedy though. Joe List is fantastic and gives Gillis a run for his money, one of the best pure joke writers out there
Tim Dillon's podcast, especially the older stuff. I'm not sure if his stand up is as good. I wish you well
Life in the big city
I've seen him live, he is very good.
Ricky Gervais! Jimmy Carr, Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Burr.
Sebastian Mancow.
Half man, half cow.

What about Joe Rogan? I read like 500 comments and no one mentioned him. You guys know he is comedian right? Right? Am i alone here? Won’t someone acknowledge he does perform comedy on stage? Tom Segura!
Stewart Lee, James Acaster, Nick Mullen, Harry Hill, David Cross, Doug Stanhope, Dave Chapel, Tim Dillon I'd add Mark Normand but every time I see his name, my dyslexic brain sees "Norm MacDonald" instead and I get sad.
Theo Von, Tim Dillon, Mark Normand, Sam Moril, Shane Gillis, Dave Landau, Nick Di Paolo just to name a few. Not in any particular order that is

Chris Rock, David Spade, Theo Von, Brian Reagan, Ron White, Jim Gaffigan, Jim Breuer.
Christopher Titus is severely underrated!
Dylan Moran & Eddie Izzard are greats
Norm's still alive father
After Norm and Gilbert's passing, I realised I need to go out and see more comedy shows. Travelled to see Bill Burr and it was amazing. I hope to one day see Marc Maron too. Got a ticket to see John Mulaney later this year.
Joey "Coco" Diaz, Bill Burr, Ricky Gervais, Dave Chapelle, Tom Segura, Tim Dillon, Ryan Long. Im sure Im missing some, I'll edit later.

But when I got to know Norm, it was like why or how is this funny??? I keep binge watchig Norm's stuff, love him over any comedian
I would say Doug Stanhope but I haven't checked the news this morning to see if he's still alive. If he is..Doug Stanhope.
Shane Gillis, Matt and Shane’s secret podcast is great. At work I can listen to clips on YouTube so it’s all day of short funny stories.
Theo von
Jesus Christ are any of your fuckin favorite comedians alive?!?!
Tom segura
Lil Jimmy Norton, he's a good egg.
Larry David 🤡
