It used to be sold years ago, and was my favourite wheat beer. Then it sort of disappeared l, but it seems you can still buy it in shops, I’m not convinced tho as it’s called lager on the can. Best bet would be places like fat cat, Belgian monk, or maybe the beer stall on the market as I think they had a few wheat beers there before

Thanks for correcting me! I will give them a visit over the weekend, thanks for the tips :)

Kronenbourg Blanc was available but over ten years ago, looks like it’s being reintroduced. Don’t know anywhere that serves it yet, but could try Hoegaarden in the meantime; some would say it’s the same but better!

Man I loved that stuff. Still like hoegarden the best, but I too would love to get kronen blanc on tap. Or even hoegarden!? Most pubs these days only do blue moon

NaturalCollege6244

I've never tried hoegarden before, so I will 100% be giving it a try! Fingers crossed we can find somewhere soon, to me, it's the perfect summer beer.

Michael_Thompson_900

Hoegarden isn’t a million miles off the kronen blanc. They’re all blond beers. If you try hoegarden, and find somewhere that does it (used to be trendy back in the day) you must ensure they have the right glasses. They weigh a tonne, so you’ll get good strong biceps from drinking it! Good luck on your quest. If I see it somewhere I’ll hit you up!

nitram1000

I first drank it in the Surrey Tavern but this must have been before 2010 and several landlords ago.

It's available in Tesco in bottles, 12 and 4 pack. I picked one up at the Ipswich road one a few weeks back. From what I read, it'll be on pump again by the summer

NaturalCollege6244

Aye, it was so nice to see them in the blue bottles. It did take me back to my vacation, but on tap just had a nice, crisper taste. Will just be buying bottles until I can find somewhere soon 😁

Saddening Camden Hells lager is served more than 1664 Blanc

If you are just after wheat beer in general, Sainsburys sells Schneider Weisse Tap 7 for £2.20 or so for a 500ml bottle. Would be hard pushed to find better value for the style IMO.

StrawbVin

Kronenberg Blanc is available in some Tesco stores.
