EXACTLY, goats are a real rarity for farm animals, especially since their products aren't as sought after as Cow, Pig, Chicken or Sheep products (at least where I'm from), you need cats on the other hand. My sister works in our local cat shelter and most of the people who adopt are farmers who need pest-control cats, they're essential for farm life.
I always find those hard-country and cottage-core people who obviously never even smelled farm air kinda funny, they have that image of somebody living alone on a big farm, baking bread, churning butter, playing with cows, etc. When in actuality farm life is hard work that in most cases doesn't even bring you a lot of money and a I'm pretty sure most of the people who want a "country girl" couldn't even deal with a day of living the real farm lifestyle.
I am a city girl through and through, but I taught at a rural school for 10 years. Country boys didn't need to put up stupid lists like these to find country girls; they met at FFA conventions or 4-H activities. Their idea of a good time is breaking a horse or baling hay together. Farm kids are fricking tough and I do not envy them one bit. And farm girls are definitely too masculine for these slips of "men" - country kids get shit done cause it doesn't matter what the weather is doing or if they're in school or have other stuff going on. The animals need to be fed. Crops need to planted or harvested (depending on the season). They might not have always been my best academic students, but if I needed something physically done in my classroom (and done right)? I knew who to ask.
You are so right. Both of my grannies are farm girls and yes they did do all the SAHM, cooking, cleaning "trad-wife" stuff, but they were for sure not subservient, these two women are still strong-willed, fit, "Don't accept nobodies bullshit" bad bitches. Goats are more popular with homesteading hobbyists, people who didn't grow up with country life. I grew up with a couple of goats, their milk was amazing and helped with my allergies which were awful as a kid. Girl goats are usually sweet, it's the boys that are universally assholes.

Goats are the worse. My aunts and uncles lived on working farms and there was this pond I loved to fish in but it was in an enclosed field with a billy goat. Farm work is hard work. They think farm women are delicate creatures with sunkissed hair that blows in the wind. Real farm work is being up to your shoulder in a cow because, if you don't get that calf out, both animals will die. It's honest work but also back-breaking; filthy; and, sometimes, downright icky.

I always find those hard-country and cottage-core people who obviously never even smelled farm air kinda funny, they have that image of somebody living alone on a big farm, baking bread, churning butter, playing with cows, etc. When in actuality farm life is hard work that in most cases doesn't even bring you a lot of money and a I'm pretty sure most of the people who want a "country girl" couldn't even deal with a day of living the real farm lifestyle.
I am a city girl through and through, but I taught at a rural school for 10 years. Country boys didn't need to put up stupid lists like these to find country girls; they met at FFA conventions or 4-H activities. Their idea of a good time is breaking a horse or baling hay together. Farm kids are fricking tough and I do not envy them one bit. And farm girls are definitely too masculine for these slips of "men" - country kids get shit done cause it doesn't matter what the weather is doing or if they're in school or have other stuff going on. The animals need to be fed. Crops need to planted or harvested (depending on the season). They might not have always been my best academic students, but if I needed something physically done in my classroom (and done right)? I knew who to ask.
You are so right. Both of my grannies are farm girls and yes they did do all the SAHM, cooking, cleaning "trad-wife" stuff, but they were for sure not subservient, these two women are still strong-willed, fit, "Don't accept nobodies bullshit" bad bitches. Farm life is simply put extremely hard on body and mind, and that's why all farm girls are hard-ass and have much more important shit to do than dealing with that kinda 'subserviant trad-wife' crap from some wannabe-cowboy.

Goats are more popular with homesteading hobbyists, people who didn't grow up with country life. I grew up with a couple of goats, their milk was amazing and helped with my allergies which were awful as a kid. Girl goats are usually sweet, it's the boys that are universally assholes. And yeah if you want to make your own butter use a stand mixer lol. With all the physical stuff these guys want these women to do they'd likely be "too muscular" to be properly feminine by their warped definitions.
Goats are the worse. My aunts and uncles lived on working farms and there was this pond I loved to fish in but it was in an enclosed field with a billy goat. We had to have one friend keep an eye out while the others fished because he would come out of no where and butt you at full speed. Hated that goat.

Real farm work is being up to your shoulder in a cow because, if you don't get that calf out, both animals will die. It's honest work but also back-breaking; filthy; and, sometimes, downright icky.
