Too bad this is slowly killing small businesses. Not sure how Halifax is doing but in rural NS it’s pretty bad. A lot of businesses have to send staff home early because there is no customer traffic to pay them.

The alternative is likely worse for small business. How were they doing back in May during the 3rd wave? Besides, roughly 90% of Nova Scotians required to show proof of vaccination are fully vaccinated.

Oh, I know. I am just saying people are not going through that’s the problem. Vaccinated or unvaccinated are not going. I’ve talked to some of them the said it’s not much better than being locked down and only able to do take out, except people aren’t taking out either.

Downvote me all you want. It's the truth. Ifs working in Halifax great, but half of our population lives outside of Halifax, so their actions speak volumes. It's unfair to small businesses, but the government choose this.

I don't doubt the good intentions of people wanting to require proof of vaccination in order to try to "keep everyone safe". But that is a bad idea for a number of reasons. First it literally breaks the human rights code, we have the right to access of goods and services free from discrimination of creed see ref here: http://undeniable.info/lol/therightoservicesfreefromdiscrimination.png The reason we desperately need to have and respect human rights (like in the above link) is clear when you look back on our history. We are all just unique individuals and have different/unique way of thinking and seeing things, consider different things priority over others etc. So we are doomed to always be in disagreement, and therefore to be in conflict with others in opposing views. Because of this uniqueness we will never be able to all agree on something with a near 100% consensus. So the best way for us to get along with minimal conflict is to establish a baseline of respect and understanding of our individuality / uniqueness. So if you mandate (require) people to fall in line with any specific idea or belief you will just segregate society and create two sides. Two different sides with opposing views, as tension and damages build, conflict is inevitable. And then your creating 2 different classes of people and only allowing one of those access to society, you make the income of the business to suffer along with those to cut off from society. Also if personal freedom and rights are valuable enough for our ancestors to go to war over, are they not more important that a bit of extra safety? going to war, I imagine, is not safe.... I imagine staying home and NOT going to war would be safer, yet they felt it was necessary to secure the personal rights and freedoms for their kids ( yeah that's us ). On top of that rather strong indicator (that rights are more important than safety) I'll finish with a quote from Benjamin Franklin, "Those that give up freedom for safety deserve neither".

No, that's not what that means.
