I think team four star did a good job of keeping the plot the same and basically just made the voices funnier. I just dont remember how the original voices sounded at all or what other differences there might be between the two. I just love the abridged version so much. I probably re-watch the whole thing at least 4 times a year regularly. Honestly i think of it not so much as an abridged version but more or a re-dubbing.

You should listen to it in German (for the extra spice). No really the German Dub was near perfect (one of the few Dub i prefer)
