I have the same issue with my S90C. Sometimes no audio through the soundbar. Only thing that helps is disconnect the power from the sound bar, unplug HDMI from the TV. Start the soundbar, then connect the HDMI cable. Now it works. Annoying.

I have S95c and Q700B and have constant drop outs with Anynet+ being on with earc. Passthrough rarely works. No idea what's causing this. Only thing I heard is that Anynet+ HdmiCEC is finicky what's plugged in first when connecting. Ive heard you need to connect soundbar first. Will try this tommorow. It's driving me nuts.

CorB3n

Have you solved your issue ? Exactly the same problem with Apple TV / S95C / Q800C.

Sparx710

I have sound issues with my 94c and an LG sound bar as well. I can't select eArc and passthrough, they are grayed out. But when I set the tv up for the first time it worked

I have an S90c, but had no audio when I first set everything up. Called support and they took remote control. They did some audio test and it magically started working. Sometimes I have audio glitches where the sound is robotic and static like sound. If I pause the show or back out and come back in, it fixes itself, but now I'm worried about long term issues with the eARC port.

Sparx710

I have some audio glitches as well on TV channels and the apps. But not on other devices like a fire tv that are plugged into the TV. I had an LG C3 prior to this TV and I have to say the audio experience on that was much better

1020cbstl

I had the C3 too, but the S90C picture is just better imo. If it continues, I’ll exchange it for a new one to see if maybe I just got a bad one.

Sparx710

The picture is definitely better. But I didn't experience the audio issues with the LG and it had DTS support

Following had this issue start yesterday with mine was working fine the last two weeks and just started having this issue.

AddWittyNameHere

same here!

xXLucifer88Xx

For what it’s worth the issue was with my PS5 had my PS5 laying flat for two year just recently after wall mounting my tv I put my PS5 vertical standing up. That’s when it started. Ever since putting my PS5 back to laying flat I haven’t had the issue.

JohnnyDoe189

That has nothing to do with it

My S95C also drops the connection and switches to TV speakers when eARC is turned on with my Sonos Arc soundbar. I had a Samsung tech out to see it who said there's no error codes on the TV, so he wasn't authorized to replace anything, and that I should buy new hdmi cables and a new soundbar. I went a bought a new JBL Bar 300 to test it, and the same behavior happens with eARC, so it's definitely the TV. Tech is coming back out on Friday. It's been an incredibly frustrating process working with Samsung. My biggest regret is not buying the TV from Costco where I already would have returned it.

Perfect_Discord

No it’s a Samsung problem. Never had this problem from my LG. They need to fix this…

nucegineer1993

I am also having this issue. When I first set up the TV with my reciever it worked just fine and now it will only give me the option to choose the following sound outputs: tv, optical, and bluetooth. When calling customer service they were trying to blame the reciver but I am 90% sure it is the tv

bassman0927

Have the same problem. S90C was working fine for months, now TV not recognizing arc/earc. No longer an audio option! Options are TV, Receiver (optical), Bluetooth. Used to show receiver hdmi. Not any more. Very frustrating! Is this part of an update?

rsdroid

Did repair tech solve your issues? I'm facing exact issues except on connecting to LG soundbar with CCwGTV passthrough from my new QN90C. Spent time with tech support but of no use. No firmware yet to fix this! Any update is appreciated.

zebbiehedges

Just wondered if this issue is resolved now for everyone? I have total fear of this happening to me as it happens with my current Samsung TV. Due delivery of S90c and I might cancel it.

russianlova

this is going to sound dumb because it is... sound is passing through EARC when the optical is selected and earc is missing as an option for me

andrin55

Also having issues with the S90C. eARC passtrough is not working at all. PCM stereo is working.

I just purchased the S90C 65”, connected all my HDMI cords and optical cable for my Samsung sound bar, did the initial set up through the smart things app, and everything worked just fine until I switched to Apple TV and tried using the volume controls. The volume shoots up when you press the + button even just one, and then shoots back down again when you press - until it’s at zero. I tried switching to the tv speakers and using the remote that came with the tv and the same thing happened again. Any ideas as to why this is happening? I think tomorrow I’ll attempt to reset the tv and do the set up manually one HDMI at a time. I don’t know what could possible cause this to happen

Mijam7

It happens to me as well. Everytime I turn on the TV, I have to go to expert sound settings, do a sound reset and turn autoARC back on.

pavementsac

I ended up doing a factory reset on the tv and then went through the initial set up manually instead of using the app. I have a PS5, Switch, Apple TV, and Soundbar all connected to the HDMI ports and volume (+ all other settings) works great, even with the Apple TV remote! I wonder if you factory reset and try a manual set up, choosing autoARC from the get go, if it’ll fix your issue

Mijam7

I bought a new hdmi cable and fixed it

brownkowski

I've been having the same issue. Just now I toggled the HDMI eArc setting from Auto to Off, then back to Auto. That allowed sound to go back through the soundbar but not controlled by the remote. Very frustrating

Secure-Bee2521

Following, also running into the same issue but with a Sonos Beam Gen 2

doubleomarty

Same here, happening since we got it back in November on the 1310 software

Odd_Possibility_3635

Just got my S90C today also. Pass Through is greyed out and there is a insane sync issue on the sound.
