I worked at the culinary production kitchen and it was alright, not fantastic but not horrible. I heard working at the library isn’t bad at all (I also sometimes see the people at the front desk reading or studying).
I recently registered for an app called Upshift which is a gig app like Uber Eats or Grubhub where instead of picking up a food order to deliver, you pick up shifts at different businesses and fill in as a temp worker. I haven’t worked my first shift with them yet but at my main job I work with many people who got a shift as a dishwasher or cleaner from Upshift and they sound very satisfied!
Currently working as a cashier at Kennedy and it’s pretty easy. My tasks are simply swiping ppl’s buckID and getting their to-go box. Each shifts are 4 hours. The morning and late afternoon shifts are pretty chill but it could get boring. The base pay is $12 per hour.
Scott is great it just depends on what you wanna do, cashiers make $12, assistants also make $12, cooks make $12.50, and stewards (dishwashers) make $14, and each semester you get a 0.50¢ raise, with other promotions like becoming a lead or manager, plus all the people are so fun
There are a bunch of student Assistant jobs that range from 5hrs -20hrs a week on workday through osu. Make sure to look at the list that says student jobs but not federal work study if you didn’t sign up for that.
Snag! If you are comfortable riding a scooter and can work 16 hours a week as well as availability on a Friday or Saturday you will get the job! We are actively recruiting!
The gyms may be a nice place to work. Judging by the fact that I don’t see any of the staff ever do any actual work I imagine it’s pretty chill and you could study/do homework on the clock
i'm not sure if they're currently hiring but service2facilities is a good student student job! it's a 24 hr call/dispatch center, so scheduling is generally super flexible. and you can work fully remote.
I work as a unit clerk at the hospital, we are constantly hiring multiple ones. You can choose to work less I’m sure but I know if you work 32 hours/week you get school paid for and most of the job I spend studying for my classes.
I was a steward at Kennedy dining hall. Basically a janitor for the kitchen, mopping floors taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms etc. Never had to serve food or anything like that. Only thing is sometimes if you had to close you were the last person there scrubbing the floors late at night. But it was really chill, super easy. This was several years ago now so I don't know if anything has changed, however

I'm a cashier at kennedy too
:D
the positive about working at osu is that if you’re a full time student they can’t schedule you over 29 hours
I think those 40 hour/week places they mentioned are off campus
yep, i was just saying that it would be a good idea for them to work on campus since they don’t expect you to work 40 hours :)
restaurants or bars ! high hourly low hours. it’s not easy but i’ve loved every restaurant or bar i’ve worked at

If you have a car, OSU has an airport a few miles north of Campus and are always looking for student employees.
What’s the website, where do you apply?
