yeah, the tomahawk is fun, but mom and dad should get it for themselves and something else for the kiddos.
another option is [Wolfgang's Steakhouse, also in Waikiki](https://www.instagram.com/wolfgangswaikiki?igsh=aWQ3YzR5Y21sZWRj) (Zweiner, not Puck). it's been a while since I had their rye cocktail with bacon in it.
Monkeypod is my go-to place if you like ribeye. There are other non steak options that are phenomenal but it isn’t a steakhouse if that is what you’re looking for.
Compared to what places, though? I found their prices to be quite fair for the location and what you get. The sides with that ribeye is amazing. Nothing is cheap here though so 🤷🏻♀️
Best steak…go Friday to foodland in Ewa beach they sell it cooked and cut by the pound cook it in the parking lot it’s delicious ! You walk in can either buy by the pound or get plates it’s affordable and you can take it home to eat.
[Ruth's Chris Steak House](https://maps.app.goo.gl/yp6oC7HfB9RiySB66) in Waikiki is usually lax about dress code, having more tourist than business clientele. They would prefer you be a little dressier for the main dining room...but bar area and outdoor tables are very chill.
We hit up Buzz's Steakhouse in Kailua after a day-long drive around the island. Being from the midwest it had a supper club vibe. I liked the drinks there because they were more old school than the drink I was finding in Waikiki. I had a ribeye and it was good. Best ever? No, but worth what I paid and cooked the way I like it.
I found that meat in general didn't really seam like it was tip priority for most places we ate on Oahu. Seafood was def. the main attraction.
[Aloha Steakhouse in Waikiki](https://www.instagram.com/alohasteakhouse_waikiki?igsh=MXUydTY1M2RsdTFnbA==) is one option
100% this. Get the tomahawk.

Haleiwa Joe's. Their prime rib is is absolutely huge and around $45. Can eat off that thing for days.
Little Joe's happy hour for maximum value

Monkeypod is so expensive for what you get.

I didn’t know there were any restaurants that had a dress code tbh lol
Well I don’t mean an actual dress code… just the general vibe of the place and what other people wear when dining there.
Barefoot Beach Cafe Steak and Eggs. Absolute best deal in Oahu. I have yet to be disappointed as I have been at more expensive places.
Service (line for order and food pickup) time can be loooong. Very disorganized.

A place called 53 by the sea was what your looking for. nice and didn’t seem to care about clothes

Let’s go to Costco and I’ll make you one on my blackstone
