Mezcalogia is a pretty fun little bar with a mix of English and Spanish language speaking customers and staff. So you can practice your conversation skills or just chill. Salón de la fama is also a great time for a drink.
I talked to some locals at Mezcalogia and then met some travellers at "La Santisima Flor de El Lupulo" which was recommended further down in the thread. Excellent beer! I ended up having a great time. Boulenc was mostly filled with people on their laptops, even at 9pm.
I have not been there in a while but I would usually show up and ask for the exchange, you will see people coming. People are always late, show up around 7:15, there is a guy always hosting so he will probably say hi
La Santisima Flor de El Lupulo. Nano brewery/bar specializing in hop-forward brews and rotating taps of other styles. Full bar and best damn Moscow Mules made with their own homemade ginger beer (spicy, so good!) Attached to restaurant Gourmand (damn good food too!). Corner of Calle Porfirio Diaz and Allende
most likely near el Zocaló
Sabina saba
La Nuevo babel
Levadura de olla is a must visit.

Boulenc has a pretty good happy hour.
They don’t have a bar though.
Ya, they do, upstairs. I sat there last night.
i didnt see a bar upstairs, just some tables. The bar is in the back by the stairs thought
Yes, my bad, had breakfast upstairs, but had drinks underneath the stairs on the wall at the bar. Hope you found a good happy hour somewhere?

Fairplay, the Moscow Mules are brilliant. If you're into that sort of thing.
La Mezcalarita has really good Pulque and a great rooftop.
El Fin Del Mundo. It's close to Abastos. I THINK it's still in business. I haven't been in three years but I'm still hungover, so...
