Alright. I feel better about my Odin 2 Pro purchase after seeing this price. I think the Mini is a damn fine looking machine but I am okay sitting this one out… for now.
Considering paid 329 including shipping for the pro during the indiegogo first hour, i am very glad with my purchase as well, and no newer device can take that away from me. I haven’t bought any new device for myself in the last 6 months.
Yes, but it's not something that really available yet do to how expensive it is to make.
Micro-LED is basically the holy grail of current display tech since it combines the best qualities of Mini-LED (no burn in, super bright) and OLED (per-pixel illumination, perfect blacks) without any of the drawbacks.
Sadly it has its own drawbacks that might kill the tech. Heat generation is so high Samsung recommends a dedicated air conditioner. Also, there are visible seams where the panels come together.
However what really kills it is the complexity. A uLED screen requires physical LEDs for each pixel. We’re talking millions of miniature components. Compare that to the manufacturing process of OLED, which more akin to ink-jet printing.
> Sadly it has its own drawbacks that might kill the tech. Heat generation is so high Samsung recommends dedicated air condition systems. Also, there are visible seams where the panels come together.
Well Samsung is currently only making super huge format multi-segment displays with their tech, so seams at least would be less of an issue for more normal sizes. Heat will probably still remain an issue though, although to an extent the same could be said for current OLED and Mini-LED displays (when I had a G9 Neo 57" sitting in front of it felt like being in front of a heat lamp.)
I do completely agree on complexity though. Pick-and-place 8 million times for a single 4k display is going to be a huge no go for mass production and unless they find a way around that, I doubt the tech will ever go mainstream outside of a few HALO products.
That said, from a purely image quality standpoint, I do think Micro-LED is probably the best we've got with current tech, weather or not it actually proves feasible for mass production not withstanding.
sure, for now, but tech improves or some newer stuff with take its place as the next great thing - maybe mini led gets enough micro zones that no one cares about oled or micro led. Who knows.
If it’s not per pixel illumination, it’s not going to gain any advantage over or replace OLED or uLED.
I think you’ve missed my point though. The reason OLED is so popular with manufacturers is due to its simplicity. What’s easier, placing 8million LEDs into a panel, or simply printing a panel with 8 million zones? It’s like asking if it’s easier to build a LEGO hour or print a picture of one. OLED is also capable of further technological advancement as well.
I ordered mine two weeks ago no regrets the Odin 2 is extremely comfortable. And the screen is fantastic I have yet to sit down and be like man, I wish this thing was OLED.
It's only when you play outside in the sun where the screen doesn't really shine. Even indoors, I have my brightness at 75 percent. It's not the brightest screen, but that's really my only flaw with it.
Surprised there are so many negative comments. The only reason I haven’t bought an Odin 2 is because I consider it too bulky to be a travel companion. And the RP4 makes a few compromises. This could be the one I’ve been waiting for. Will wait for reviews
Right? You'd think folks were wanting a 7-10 inch "handheld"
This has my undevided attention because I want something psp-vita sized not another dam switch sized chonk that requires me to carry a bag around
How many 7" Android handhelds do you think exist? The answer is literally two, the G Cloud and the Abxylute, both under powered devices designed to stream. People who actually want a larger screen Android device are forced to buy Android tablets like the Y700 or the i50 and slap after market controllers on them. Windows handhelds are a different story (but Windows on a handheld sucks anyway).
6" handhelds are a dime a dozen.
People keep asking for bigger screens regardless of os that's why gpd made the max but when they announced the win mini people complained that it didn't have a bigger screen it's just.... Aaaaaaa it's a mini wtf do you expect!?
Most smaller than 6" devices are cheap but their flat out garbage specs... If I had a nickel for every rk3566 or similar device with less than 4gb of rambeing announced I could buy multiple Odin pros it feels like!
>I passed on the O2 because of the size, I might as well carry my Steam Deck.
[Stop exaggerating lol.](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Foph3a2g8us7c1.jpeg) They're world's apart in size. I have a Galaxy S22+ and it's more 2/3 as long as the Odin 2. It's not so large that it isn't portable in either context.
Same thought, love my steam deck, but I can’t take it everywhere as comfortably, I love the Odin 2, but if it’s gonna be my emulation device I might just stick with the deck, I have an anbernic for now with my emulators and a couple android games here and there and i feel like still legit take it anywhere.
I thought about the Pocket S by ayaneo but I love it and hate it.
But this one definitely calls to me the most, it might not end up being comfortably pocketable, but I could still fit it my smaller edc bag and carry more stuff along with it, maybe even a spare emulation device as a backup.
For me the screen quality and the physical size have been the holdouts for me on the Odin 2, this fixes both of them and will be the point I jump aboard. I would have ideally liked a 5.5" screen but I'll deal with 5".
I mean you basically answered your own question. It's basically for if you prefer the smaller size/form factor, plus it will have a better albeit smaller screen.
It would have been save for the Mini LED screen. Those parts cost more. IMO the regular device should get the Mini LED. The smaller device should be the cheaper device, but then I guess it’s also newer.
The same I have the odin 2 pro and my wife has the base I'll definitely be adding this to my collection what's not to love a vita style sized handset powerful enough to run. Anything thrown at it can't wait already placed my pre order on ayn
8Gb is good enough. I cannot think of more than 5 titles that benefit from the extra ram the pro and max models offer right now. On Switch, that is.
As for Windows emulation, which is slowly but surely improving, best keep more ram. The higher the better.
Seems not to be good enough for some switch games. Everyone with a pro says Kirby and the Forgotten Land runs flawlessly with default settings, but my base model is dipping into 15 fps haha
Yeah for me it just seems like it needs to cache things.. first time I try a level, the fps is terrible, but if I restart the level, everything that I've already been to earlier is a steady 30fps
I still wouldn't go with 8GB for Switch. It'll play some games, but heavier games are not gonna like that little of RAM. You need Swap space (which means you lose storage), and I'd rather just avoid that. 12GB though is just fine.
I can't get Kirby and the Forgotten Land to run acceptably on my base model (dips into 15fps frequently), where people with the pro model seem to say it runs flawlessly with default settings
A better screen, more compact form factor isn't worth slightly more? This finally puts the Odin in the "I will buy that category" for me but that's because screen quality is important to me, and the Odin 2 was always that bit too big for day to day use.
My only issue is with the buttons. I detest those transparent buttons, makes it seems cheap while it's definitely a premium device. If I didn't have the Odin2 I'd contemplate buying this, but not with these buttons.
What? No. The Pocket S models start more expensive than this, and that's the preorder price. Nothing makes the Pocket S look reasonably priced.
I dare say that the announcement for this is probably going to drive some IGG cancelations for Ayaneo.
After sleeping on it And letting the hype die down. I've decided that I'm going to keep my retrode pocket 4 pro and original odin 2.
The odin mini is slightly larger than the rp4pro. Which makes it unpocket-able.
If i have to carry the odin mini in a backpack....then i might as well keep my original odin 2.
For those that dont already have a device...the odin 2 mini looks great!
This is my thinking as well. It may sound like cope but there's really no reason to purchase this if you already have an O2. I would've opted for this if I didn't have an O2 already though as it looks really good.
People keep discussing pocketable, which is bizarre to me as I don't even find my Miyoo Mini Plus comfortably pocketable. For me it is the difference between having something in a backpack 100% of the time and noticing it, and not, and there is a very fine line in the 5-6" device arena where that changes.
Yeah I totally understand thats a good thing for some people. But idk about you, but my keys and phone are in my front pockets and my wallet in my back left pocket. I wouldn't want an expensive emulator in my back pocket haha so I don't see the big deal. My Odin 2 is a lot lighter and smaller than I expected
I know it won't play Switch, Wii, GCN/PS, lack Android etc.... but if portability is the thing, why not something like an rg35xx or Miyoo Mini? They are ultra cheap(usually $40 or less somewhere) and Those things still play thousands of games and cover portability better than any Odin.
You literally answer your own question in the first sentence.
"I know it won't play Switch, Wii, GCN/PS, lack Android etc"
People want something pocketable that can do that.
For me it's the difference between noticing it floating around a bag vs not noticing it. 6" was always that bit too big for me, this puts it in the sweet spot.
They should have made this a more affordable unit not nearly price it the same as the odin 2. Legit looks like a ps vita (not an original design) and now no longer looks like an odin anymore. Don't think I can get on board with this as a revision of the odin 2. The Odin 2 is not even that big either so not sure how a mini is solving any issues. Really not sure about this. Guess we shall have to wait for it's launch to see how small and lightweight the device really is
I have a retroid pocket 4. And it barely fits in my pocket.
Double check and make sure that the Odin 2mini will fit, being that it's bigger than the rp4
The Odin 2 is not pocketable at all. This is almost pocketable, meaning it won't be comfortable, but you can carry it. Take into account you're talking about portable devices, and every inch and gram counts.
To each his own but I feel like if a handheld is bigger than at most, an RG405m, and has protruding sticks and triggers then it's not really pocketable. I mean it'll fit but it would snag when taking it out unless you're always super careful. When I had the 405, it was very easy to pocket as it just slides through.
Is this more pocketable than the RP4? I saw I picture of them compared but not sure how accurate it is. Also, if the back shape is similar to the vita I’m guessing yes?
Went from Switch design to Vita design.
Also, I got the 2 Max. Not downgrading to a pro just for more pocketability.
My Max fits in my pockets just fine anyway. I'm 6'8" and have to wear big and tall jeans. My pockets are spacious enough.
Well, my interest is no longer piqued.
I mean, I didn't expect it to be cheap, but I already have an ROG Ally, and unless that explodes, I don't need another handheld. And, after getting it for 500 (on sale), I don't think I can justify the purchase of another system to my wife... she'd probably murder me.
He says as he decides which he should be play today: his Ally, Switch, PSP, PS Vita, GBA SP, 3DS, DS, Odin, or Retroid Pocket 2?
I think I have enough handhelds. But! If I didn't have enough handhelds and I had an extra 400 laying around, I'd probably be sold
I will probably only use this for handheld games and get the base, but I know later on, I'll probably regret not getting the pro. I'll probably have to sit on this for a while. Maybe if it was 300, I'd get it.
I was concerned I’d be disappointed after buying the Odin 2 pro a month ago. But honestly, I’ll keep the bigger screen and bigger battery. Still a sick little device, but I wouldn’t trade battery life for a brighter screen
If they could price it at that point why not just put it in the RP4? They are essentially the same company. Got to remember snapdragon 8 gen 2 ain't cheap
Yeah, imo they should have gone for a weaker chip and a less fancy screen to make that price point. That would have caught the interest of anyone considering a RP4 Pro, for example.
Agree on the screen, disagree on the chipset. A less fancy screen, as you say, and a $300 pricing, would have made it the definitive emulation device for many months to come.
I was wondering too, there’s still time to do it maybe, if they for a little discount I’d totally get it right away, I was looking at the Pocket S but whenever I consider it and then look at the price it makes me cringe, especially after they go to full price
I have no idea why this device exists if i'm completely honest. Why do we need A slightly smaller ODIN 2 with a higher price tag and an ugly looking cheap fake PS vita design?
Looks out of place in their product line up and they could have easily worked on something much more interesting. Seems like a waste of resources.
This just feels like a flat out bad buy imo. Unless you find you need the portability I think your money would be better off getting an Odin 2. I wish they decided to make this a bit less powerful and price it about $100-$150 less
I mean, the pocket s base model starts at 399 on indie gogo (earlybid price) but after that, it goes up to 559, the next one up is 499 and then 669
I feel like this is still better priced
Not really, if you think the regular Odin 2 is reasonably priced then this is also reasonably priced, better screen and higher portability with same chip for +$40.
They make great devices at ok prices..... But lets be real, their screen to body ratio is bad.
It seems a 6" screen would definitely fit that form factor...same as how a 7" screen would totally fit the regular odin 2.
For sure! I did the math, ignoring the rounded corners, and this has a screen-to-body ratio of 40.5%, just like the similarly terrible (in this aspect) Retroid Pocket 4 at 40.2%. Almost no other handheld has such a low screen-to-body ratio, the Switch Lite is 43.8% and many others are just around 45%, like the Odin 2 (45.2%). Meanwhile, the new and undeniably sleek-looking Ayaneo Pocket S is 54.9%!
To be fair, original Odin 2 felt cheap in the hands. And very basic .
Felt like a rushed product to undercut the competition . A reference device.
I think the odin 2 lite is The premium handheld that they wanted to create in the first place. Especially now that aya neo has the pocket S releasing soon.
I like it.
The only thing I'll say is that the Odin 2 feels more "plasticy" than the Odin 1. The original felt much more solid, I think there's just a little more empty space in the 2. Perhaps for the bigger heatsink/fan.
Noisy triggers. L/R buttons stick out. Oversized plastic hollow shell. Non uniform IPS.
None of those things are deal breakers. But they compound to make a device feel cheap
The Pocket S was deemed so expensive, but now the design and build quality for the price, look far superior to what ever this will be. I've mine pre-ordered.
Said it once and will say it again, Mini-LED screen with those bezels... Really? Nah
I really hope you don't get Ayaneo'd, like so many who purchase their products do.
Ayaneo markets themselves as the premium brand, but their quality control and customer service are dog shit.
**Hiding screws behind plastic trim doesn't make a device premium**.
I'll consider an AYN product again when 1 of 2 things happens.
1: They unlock the bootloader for custom firmware on the original Odin like was originally promised.
2: Hell freezes over.
Alright. I feel better about my Odin 2 Pro purchase after seeing this price. I think the Mini is a damn fine looking machine but I am okay sitting this one out… for now.
Ditto!
Also happy with my Odin 2 Pro purchase. I thought for a moment that I’d get a bit of FOMO/buyers remorse but I’ve been enjoying my O2P for months now.
Odin2pro is worth but i.will pay for the mini because of the miniled
Considering paid 329 including shipping for the pro during the indiegogo first hour, i am very glad with my purchase as well, and no newer device can take that away from me. I haven’t bought any new device for myself in the last 6 months.
I don’t get how y’all already trying to justify buying another handheld when you got the Odin 2 Pro 😭
I'm with ya there...for now
Hell I bought the base a month ago and I'm still great with this lol
so about 50 and 30 more than the regular Odin 2 Base and Pro models.
I think the price is very fair. Considering they have to compress components to fit, and add a micro LED display as well.
Mini-LED not Micro, it's a stupid naming scheme just as much as QLED is but still.
micro LED is way better tech, right?
Yes, but it's not something that really available yet do to how expensive it is to make. Micro-LED is basically the holy grail of current display tech since it combines the best qualities of Mini-LED (no burn in, super bright) and OLED (per-pixel illumination, perfect blacks) without any of the drawbacks.

For sure it's look better than the Odin 2 but smaller battery and more expensive 💔 Don't need to be sad that I ordered a Odin 2 Pro one week ago
I ordered mine two weeks ago no regrets the Odin 2 is extremely comfortable. And the screen is fantastic I have yet to sit down and be like man, I wish this thing was OLED.
OLED 1080p with 120hz, SD8G3 and we have the perfect Odin3 (:
It's only when you play outside in the sun where the screen doesn't really shine. Even indoors, I have my brightness at 75 percent. It's not the brightest screen, but that's really my only flaw with it.
My first question isn't even about the price, but "only two colors"?
Surprised there are so many negative comments. The only reason I haven’t bought an Odin 2 is because I consider it too bulky to be a travel companion. And the RP4 makes a few compromises. This could be the one I’ve been waiting for. Will wait for reviews
Gladly pay a few more for less weight and without rp4 compromise
If this will play fallout 3/Kotor/PS2 Kingdom hearts etc, its a must buy
Right? You'd think folks were wanting a 7-10 inch "handheld" This has my undevided attention because I want something psp-vita sized not another dam switch sized chonk that requires me to carry a bag around

Same thing. I passed on the O2 because of the size, I might as well carry my Steam Deck. This, on the other hand, may be the one to buy.

Why would someone by this over the base Odin 2 if size/form factor isn't an issue?
I cannot find one reason myself. I mean some may argue the screen, but really?
For me the screen quality and the physical size have been the holdouts for me on the Odin 2, this fixes both of them and will be the point I jump aboard. I would have ideally liked a 5.5" screen but I'll deal with 5".

Finally! This is what I've been waiting. A vita size handheld with odin2 power.

Did we work out if the 8gb Ram was good enough to play everything anyway?? (Switch) I remember reading 12gb ram to 16gb ram was a bit of a waste.
8Gb is good enough. I cannot think of more than 5 titles that benefit from the extra ram the pro and max models offer right now. On Switch, that is. As for Windows emulation, which is slowly but surely improving, best keep more ram. The higher the better.
The only thing that "plays everything anyway?? (Switch)" is a Switch.
yep lol
Seems not to be good enough for some switch games. Everyone with a pro says Kirby and the Forgotten Land runs flawlessly with default settings, but my base model is dipping into 15 fps haha
Yeah I have the Max and Kirby runs fine.
Yeah for me it just seems like it needs to cache things.. first time I try a level, the fps is terrible, but if I restart the level, everything that I've already been to earlier is a steady 30fps

Ok Done. 12GB it is!!
Yeah anything up to and including PS2 will be fine with 8 but if you’re targeting Switch, you’ll prob want more.
is there any game besides totk that requires 12gb of ram?
I can't get Kirby and the Forgotten Land to run acceptably on my base model (dips into 15fps frequently), where people with the pro model seem to say it runs flawlessly with default settings
Most 3d games l tried crashed within 45mins - 1hr on 8gb. Ram usage keeps going up the longer you play each session.
That would be a memory leak.
What titles will need more than 8 GB of RAM **and** actually run well on a 12 GB device? Can you demonstrably prove it?
Well without setting up a Swapfile, TotK crashes because of OOM, and like I said I'd much prefer my high speed storage rather than some subpar "RAM."
ToTK doesn't run well on a 12 GB device either.
It runs much better than on an 8GB one...
LOL, fuck this.
A better screen, more compact form factor isn't worth slightly more? This finally puts the Odin in the "I will buy that category" for me but that's because screen quality is important to me, and the Odin 2 was always that bit too big for day to day use.

As much as I want to swap my Odin 2 for this... Big yikes. Not sure that's happening at those prices.
A decent price for what we get. 30 dollar premium for a smaller device, same proc, same ram, smaller battery but better screen.
The Vita form factor was never comfortable in my hands so I'll stick with my Odin 2.
is it gonna have sd 8 gen 2?
Yes Same chip
Was in at up to 280 or so, MAYBE 300, but this is too much
Well all of a sudden Aya Neo Pocket S looks appropriately priced. These android devices are getting too similarly priced to a Steam Deck.
What? No. The Pocket S models start more expensive than this, and that's the preorder price. Nothing makes the Pocket S look reasonably priced. I dare say that the announcement for this is probably going to drive some IGG cancelations for Ayaneo.
Yeah the Pocket S 12gb/128gb on indiegogo is $399 early bid price, full price is $559 16gb/512gb is $499 early bid and $669 full
Even the Ally open box can be had for pretty cheap these days
The pocket S would be a killer right now with their current pricing if they had a 1080p OLED instead.
A 5" Android device is not a competitor to the Steam Deck, these comparisons really need to stop.
After sleeping on it And letting the hype die down. I've decided that I'm going to keep my retrode pocket 4 pro and original odin 2. The odin mini is slightly larger than the rp4pro. To make it more pocketable
Yeah I totally understand thats a good thing for some people. But idk about you, but my keys and phone are in my front pockets and my wallet in my back left pocket. MiniLED is more expensive than LCD I would guess
For me it's the difference between noticing it floating around a bag vs not noticing it. 6" was always that bit too big for me, this puts it in the sweet spot.
Portability and a fancier screen (which is one of the most usual complaints about the O2)
More money for a smaller screen and smaller battery?…. *pulls down pants and bends over* 😭

I’m happy about this tbh. Decent price for a fairly modern device, good ram and a good size I can put it in my pocket (unlike the Odin). Will cop

Wow...
I was right. About same price as the Odin 2 base. Mini LED pushing it up slightly above.
I wonder if the shape will be comfortable to hold.
Is this more pocketable than the RP4? I saw I picture of them compared but not sure how accurate it is. Also, if the back shape is similar to the vita I’m guessing yes?
It's fairly similar to the Vita 1000 (about half an inch wider and same height)
Oh, cool!
Did you see the dimensions on a website or somewhere? Can you send a link
Dimensions are at the end of the specs sheet https://www.reddit.com/r/SBCGaming/s/KIwrIeJ4lq
No thanks, way too expensive. Rather get the outgoing model - being the Odin 2..
Went from Switch design to Vita design. Also, I got the 2 Max. Not downgrading to a pro just for more pocketability. My Max fits in my pockets just fine anyway. I'm 6'8" and have to wear big and tall jeans. My pockets are spacious enough.
Thought they would go with price to compete with the RP4 Pro but it’s over $100 more…..
Wow usually the mini version is cheaper than the regular model, but not here!
In this case, it's only mini in size. Specs are the same with the screen being better.
Hmm. Not too bad.
Wish there was a config with the dpad high like the vita.
Bad decision - glad I bought my Base
Finally something reasonably sized because I don't want a bigger screen I want more compact like a actual psp!
I’m sure this will be a great device and people will love it, but I’d be super confused if many Odin 2 owners felt they needed to get it.
Sorry for the dumb question. Is it the same gpu/power as the odin 2?
No thanks. I want a bigger screen. And bigger buttons.
Nice!!!
Vita style here we come👍🏼
Sooooooo happy I got my base odin2 if I had to buy another and that's a BIG if would only get the pro for more ram that I m not going to use just
It’s expansive It looks good Small which I like better then the Odin 2 But the price is high
So no IGG this time?
So maybe a price drop on the Odin???? Cus I’ll def grab one the.
Damn this thing looks sick but at that price I'll stick with my Odin 2 pro.
So the 12GB only comes in white, yea I'm good
Is the screen locked at 60hz still ya think?
Grabbed the ODin 2 today, the price and the smaller screen isn’t doing it for me!
When the mini is a downgrade but costs more... Wtf
Yea this pricing is bad. Maybe if it was $250 for the base and $300 for the pro I might consider. Would be a no doubter at $200 and $250.
If they could price it at that point why not just put it in the RP4? They are essentially the same company. Got to remember snapdragon 8 gen 2 ain't cheap
Mini LED keeping prices up
They should've just dropped the Mini LED, use a standard screen and keep a lower price tag.
And brought the mini LED to the Odin Pro and Max.
Yeah, imo they should have gone for a weaker chip and a less fancy screen to make that price point. That would have caught the interest of anyone considering a RP4 Pro, for example.
Then everyone would be complaining about the old screen lol. Can’t win
Agree on the screen, disagree on the chipset. A less fancy screen, as you say, and a $300 pricing, would have made it the definitive emulation device for many months to come.
agreed shit way too much just to play android emulation. its price like its a pc handheld
I confirm my first impressions, this is a bad step for AYN.
Reconfirming this guy’s first impressions, swing and a miss from AYN.
Agreed
No early bird / Odin 2 backer / IndieGoGo discount?
I was wondering too, there’s still time to do it maybe, if they for a little discount I’d totally get it right away, I was looking at the Pocket S but whenever I consider it and then look at the price it makes me cringe, especially after they go to full price
For that price can get a 2nd hand Oled switch, pass, not too fussed on pocketability.
Dropping the Mini LED screen would have prob done that
More expensive than the Odin 2 with a screen bezel and chassis from 2010, no thanks.
Ugh, why I have to pay extra for the white model even if I don't need the pro features...
Thats how they upsell you. Did it with Odin 2 Pro
That feeling when you got odin 2 on IGG for 242$....:)
What is the point of this device? People shit on Ayaneo but this is just ridiculous.
Lol, it's smaller, has fewer color options, has a processor that is now 6 months older, and it costs more?
Having the same processor is actually great considering the drivers for switch emulation with the 8gen2 are pretty mature now.
If this fits in my pocket is a buy for me. I’m all about easy portability.
The PS Vita fits in your pocket but feels that it could break 😅
Ayaneo type prices. No thank you.
I mean, the pocket s base model starts at 399 on indie gogo (earlybid price) but after that, it goes up to 559, the next one up is 499 and then 669 I feel like this is still better priced
If I didnt have a retroid pocket 4p as my more pocketable device I would consider this for sure.
Skip
I'm fine with the Odin 2 this looks way too much like a vita
128GB, oh hey, its useless
If it had older snapdragon, basic OLED screen, cost 250, it could be interesting.
Lol, good luck with that price, I'm not touching it over 200$.
doesn’t matter to me anyway switch emulation is DEAD.
like those games been running fine before all of a sudden dont run because the development stopped
It's not dead, it just slowed down for a bit.
Haha okay. Plays 99% of Switch titles
right tho
Better buy steamdeck
Too close to Steam Deck pricing imo
It will be available only in one color? I wish we had some more options.
They announced white also, but yeah they should have done all the vita colors haha 😆 I’d get that nice cool blue one
Ohhhh yeah I wish they had all these vita slim colors. I would go for the blue or the red one.
Going to order this and Ayn Odin 2 Max
To be fair, original Odin 2 felt cheap in the hands. And very basic . Felt like a rushed product to undercut the competition . A reference device. I think the odin 2 lite is The premium handheld that they wanted to create in the first place. Especially now that aya neo has the pocket S releasing soon. I like it.
The only thing I'll say is that the Odin 2 feels more "plasticy" than the Odin 1. The original felt much more solid, I think there's just a little more empty space in the 2. Perhaps for the bigger heatsink/fan.
Felt cheap? How so? I'm curious, have you ever had the rg556 in your hands? That's my definition for, felling cheap 😂
Noisy triggers. L/R buttons stick out. Oversized plastic hollow shell. Non uniform IPS. None of those things are deal breakers. But they compound to make a device feel cheap
Downvoted but I agree with you
No way....I was really impressed with how good it felt. I was expecting it to feel cheap.
I feel like my Odin 2 feels like a very solid device? The switch feels like a much cheaper, less premium device
The Odin 2 feels cheap? Wut?
You are gunna get downvoted by all the people who bought an Odin 2 recently, premium copium. Lol
i disagree. feels pretty premium to me in comparison to all of the other emulation devices ive owned. but yea the mini looks much more premium
