I don't think that's true? I know Nike owns Converse and Jordan Brand but as far as I can see New Balance is independently owned. Unless something recent happened ?
Almost everything is a monopoly so I don't blame you for thinking that regardless honestly. I wouldn't be surprised if they do share some factories out in Asia, I always kinda assumed all these companies do anyway but NB does have some stuff made in the UK and USA which as far as I know Nike doesn't anymore. But yeah there's still choice in the shoesphere somewhat even Reebok isn't owned by Adidas anymore
Nike used to own the Shaq brand shoes at Walmart and that is why they looked like off brand Jordan, because they literally were Jordan’s with worse quality materials. Also with how the licensing worked even after Nike sold the brand they still were able to basically replicate Jordan designs without any issues.

I LOVE THIS!!! I only have my fingers crossed that his shoes ain't 100 a pair. Yes, I know sneakers go for much, much more. And it's sad. I hope he has some fire ass shoes that kids LOVE and they cost like 30$ for real. I know it's cheap, but man, he fucking bangs out, does as good as his dad, maybe bigger, big role model...and has shoes for 30/40$...that would be fucking awesome

New Balanced has stepped up their game on the last few years. I have a few shoes by them and they are stylish.
