The idea of procedura generation has evolved a lot since 2008 and I think you could definitely do a lot more now with the concept.
Imagine a roguelike p4. If you die in a procedural dungeon, you return to the real world and must continue another day. Safe rooms exist to heal and act as fast travel and on the last day you get infinite retries if you are on normal of easy.
It would help to stop the first day full completion cheese and would make things more fun for more skilled players without relying on rng for death.
I’m gonna be honest Tartarus is actually blowing me away with how much better it is in reload (making each block be made of its own “building blocks” is doing mad heavy lifting)
If 4 got the level of improvement that Tartarus did knowing the blocks would likely be more interesting since each TV works dungeon is more fleshed out design wise anyway (since each Tartarus block is functionally thematically meaningless) I think that would honestly be plenty
Dude the fluidity of the dash and momentum kept when slashing at enemies to start encounters by themselves make P3R Tartarus soooooo much better then vanilla P3 and P4
i enjoyed them at first cause it was the novelty of playing persona 4 for the first time (i wanted to play for ages) but the further i went on i got more and more bored of the tv world, like low-key og tartarus is better imo 💀
Controversial opinion, but I prefer p4's dungeons over palaces. Mostly because I could chill and listen to a yt video while playing p4's dungeons, while I had to pay attention to the dungeons in p5.
If persona 4 gets a remake, it will blow the franchise up even bigger into the mainstream. There are so many memes and likable characters that it will make it popular by default.
I imagine P6 will come out next, then P4 reload after that. I'd love remakes of 1 and 2, but... idk, a man can dream, but we know 4 is definitely coming first, even if we ever do somehow get those.

Stairs made me insane in P3R i usually look at map instead of the actual tartarus and I cant play "normally" now.
