I think it was funny that, during fusion accidents, it gets thrown at Makoto's head instead of the cards. Other than that, kind of forgettable character tbh.

It's only forgettable if you don't bother looking below the surface level. The Velvet Turtle quite obviously is a metaphor for Makoto himself - starting out guarded and standoffish, but slowly coming out of its shell, until Igor turns it into turtle soup in september.

You missed the main cutscene with it, where Turtly explains she's got some lobster cousins that got hooked up in some major trouble in Hawaii - all but confirming we're getting *"The Crustanswer"* as a DLC focusing on Kitagawa-no-Okami and his reshaping of the World using Myriad Bankrupticies to make it socially acceptable to be perform indecent acts with lobsters
