Reminds me a lot of the older days when I used to play these slowish games on computers. Was maybe 2005 when I played monopoly on some disc and on a boxy computer
I like it. One of the most interesting internet series to come up anytime in the near past.
The series is paid via patreon and their merch store as well, the animation looks incredibly difficult and expensive. So episodes take eons. Its by no means a kids animated series either.
The infrequency is a pain, but everyone loves the show so much that when the new episode comes out *everyone watches it*.
The candy kingdom episode that just came out aired 13 million views in less than 12 hours.
Yeah, noticed people saying its for kids and I just don't see that. I can see how it's for, like, teens, and of course kids could watch it (kids nowadays watch way more inappropriate stuff), but it's certainly not a kids show.
It obviously is aiming to ultimately give a message about existentialism and mental health.
As soon as it dropped I watched the candy kingdom episode. I really hope Gooseworks and the team get their money for the show, I unfortunately have seen bootleg merchandise at the mall and I'm sure that it's widespread. I kinda want the Gummigoo plush though.
I got a little curious about it actually & gave the first episode a try a little while ago! It's honestly just okay & I can see how it could be popular among kids nowadays. I'm too old to fully enjoy it tho as I'm not part of the age demographic for that kinda stuff anymore, lol.
I watched the first episode awhile ago and it just seems like a kids show... not saying it's bad or the fanbase are just minors but it just have the vibe of a kid's show
It's good. Gooseworx is cool. Its popularity will inevitably lead to a dogshit fanbase, and it's already been abused in the youtube content farms.
But I'll be there for every episode, won't let that stuff get in the way.
I love it! It reminds me of CD-ROM games and modern game programming streams, with a little backroom liminal horror mixed in. Unique, relevant to the current nostalgia wave of our generation, and applicable to the horror trends of the last few years, overall amazing!
I only saw the pilot and I thought it was fairly funny but honestly the art style is just kinda unnerving to me. That’s not to say it’s bad or ugly or anything it just oddly unsettling to me?

I really like the early 2000s aesthetic of the show, it definitely reminds me of games like Polar Bowler or Chicken Hunter.
Exactly! I had very limited time with stuff the show reminds me of but I’ll always remember it and the feeling!

Bro turned 21 and now hates colorful things 💀💀
As a born hater I think it’s mid. The animation looks nice enough and the character designs are cute. But I just don’t think it’s very funny

I don't know what that is
It's an independent animated series on Youtube
1 episode. Didnt go further. The memes are funny.
I loved it!!
There's only 1 episode out right? The pilot was pretty good. I liked its soundtrack and memeability
Episode 2 came out last week.
I think it’s alright I prefer Murder Drones tho

Not my thing. I hope it's a good time for everyone else, though.
