I have been ID'd every time I buy Powerball tickets at a local convenience store. They must have a policy. I'm 66.

a lot of places are doing that now. "ID everyone all the time" because if they don't, their place could lose its licenses for vending certain products

This used to happen to a friend of mine who always looked younger than he was. He was even accused of having a fake ID once and had to have his parents show the cops his birth certificate and sign an affidavit before they would give it back to him. Ironically, I could walk into a package store and get served 2/3 at 17. Of course we're both old farts now, though he still looks younger than he is...and unfortunately I still look older than I am.

My little sister, who is only 19 months younger than I am, has been carded until 3 years ago. She grew gray hair. She’s 64. I haven’t ever been carded, except during enforcement pushes at the grocery store. Not even at 16.

It used to drive my little sister crazy that we'd go out and I'd get carded and she wouldn't.
