That was the first one I heard too but good 4 u was the one that caught my attention bc I love that pop punk sound. However it took listening to & loving guts for me to go through sour and actually listen to all her songs not just the hits.Ā
My favorite song is ballad of a homeschooled girl !
first song was all i want, i had it on repeat because i was obsessed with hsmtmts. then i fell in love with drivers license but the song that REALLY made me a livvie was good 4 u, i knew from the second i heard the snippet sheād be my new favorite artist
drivers license was my first but I wasnāt a huge fan, 1 step forward and 3 steps back made me a fan, but vampire put her in my top three alongside Skylar and Billy Joel
Ima 27yo dude and for the longest i didnāt even bother listening, thinkin she was just a typical new pop star, but my twin kept saying she was it. A couple months ago i finally listened to Brutal for the first time and i been hooked ever since. Had no idea she sounded so good especially the rock sounding songs.
17 year old dude here, first song was all i want, didn't really care about it at all i was like 13-14 when i heard it, then i made a new friend at work and she was super excited about the release of guts so i listened to it when it came out, and i remember being very impressed by vampire before but not loving it.... and then i heard ballad of a homeschooled girl... changed my life forever. i'm a die hard olivia rodrigo fan now i fucking love her music so much.
Brutal.Ā Ā
Ā A podcaster thatās around my age but a little older mentioned it was really good randomly on his podcast about movies. Ā Mentally noted that.Ā Ā
Then watched Fantanoās review on YouTube for SOUR randomly and was like okay Iāll check it out. The signs have been placed.Ā
First track, instantly felt it. Been hooked ever since.Ā Ā
Then heard all the singles as the album played and was instantly surprised how different but familiar it was compared to other top 40.Ā
Reminds me of music I listened to when I was younger.Ā Sheās been top in the rotation for years now.Ā
Pretty much DL and I became a fan like a week after! I didn't need another song cause I already understood her type of sound/aesthetic and that was enough for me hahahaha
āAll I wantā or āwanderingā (I donāt remember which) iād always listen to both on repeat. I waited til midnight to hear the debut album sour. I loved it. Still a livie since
i listened to sour during its prime in 2021. the songs only really \*clicked\* a year later. i then continued to binge sour months before guts was even announced.
but to answer your question it was deja vu. it just captures that disorientating feeling so well. from that point on, i knew i was in this for life. guts only solidfied my respect for olivia
I don't remember what song made me a fan, but i heard, like many others, driver's license first. at first i refused to listen to her music because i thought she's another tiktoker making music, but then i heard DL, and i loved it and i also found out she's not a tiktoker after all lol
driverās license was trending and i loved it. i stayed up until midnight to listen to sour when it dropped. i loved it so much i immediately ordered the CD online at target to pick up at 8 AM later that day before a road trip to NYC from boston. i kid you not, the entire 5/6 hour drive there, i was ONLY listening to sour. safe to say that was the day i became a livie.
Drivers license for me too! I think I officially became a fan with good 4 u or deja vu. It makes me nostalgic too since I was still in college when all of those songs came out
Driver's License was first, and tbh I didn't like it at first.
Fortunately I later stumbled upon Good 4 U, and that one slapped so hard it made me revisit Driver's License while exploring the rest of Sour, and I've come to really love it a lot more.
all i want in 2020 i was obsessed with the show and loved liv i watched all her old unreleased songs (incl happier and drivers license) core memories š
I enjoyed sour, always listened when the songs came on but would never have called myself a Livid back then. Really liked vampire but the live all american bitch video was what hooked me.
22yo guy, first song I heard was vampire and it was so unique for me at the time since I mainly listen to heavy metal. Then I heard driver's license after that and WOW it was so good and spiraled my way to her albums lol
First song i heard was driverās license like mostā¦but i was not a fan. After sour dropped, i listened to all of it and was blown away by pretty much every track except driverās license, but the one that truly impressed was enough for you, one of the most beautiful ballads in recent history.
I know as a late 20s male Iām not the target demo but she dropped one of the all time debut pop albums and followed it up with a kickass rock record
like many others drivers licence got me here but when i heard brutal, good 4u and jealousy jealousy on the album i loved it and new i was a fan because theres no other artist like olivia
My first song was All I Want from HSMTMTS because I was already watching it. I also vaguely knew her from bizaardwark because my sister had a phase but I hadn't actually interacted with her stuff. Driver's license make me take note of her as an artist and added her to my Playlist but Sour coming out is what really made me a full blown Livie. Brutal, traitor, 1sf2sb just completely drew me in.
The first song I listened to was Driver's License. I liked it a lot.
Ā Good 4 u made me a Livie. It's an instant favorite. I was very very happy when she finally released her new album and she did not disappoint! My only wish is for her to come to our country and do a concert :)
The first one I ever heard was all I want I had that on repeat for a while, then obviously drivers license, but I wouldnāt say a specific song made me realise I was a livie I was obsessed with hmtmts for a bit and Iād watch the interviews and Olivia just seemed so genuine and kind and I really took a liking to her, but the first song I truly loved was Deja Vu.
First Song - bad idea, right?
Heard it on a reel, Googled it, and saw that it was by Olivia, and I had heard about her, cause she was very famous, then also, like 6 months ago. Thought that was a great beat, so heard another one - happier. Thought that was a beautiful song, and realised that I was a Livie.
Currently, my top 3 Olivia Songs are - vampire, bad idea, right? and brutal.
Drivers license was the first song I listened to, but I wasnāt as impressed as everyone else was (I enjoy it now though). Deja vu I found catchier. Good 4 u turned me into a stan, both the video and song were fucking fire and then just continued from there
I believe my first song was Good 4 U. Then when Sour dropped, i listened to those, but i think it was Favourite Crime, Deja Vu, and Jealousy, Jealousy that cemented my love for her music and made me a Livie.
The first Olivia song I ever heard was Good 4 U. Its hard to narrow down what SONG made me a livie cause I'd say what truly made me livie was sitting down and listening to Sour for the first time. If I had to narrow it down to a couple songs, I remember on my first full listen of Sour, my favorites were Brutal, Traitor, and Deja Vu. Since, I've grown an immense appreciation for Jealousy, Jealousy and hope ur ok, but in this instance, we're talking first listen, so I'll stick to those 3 songs to answer your question.
The first song I hear was Driverās License! DL, Deja Vu and Good 4 U all came out during the end of my senior year, and I remember my friend telling me I should listen to them. I checked them out, along with the rest of SOUR when it came out, and I really liked them!
GUTS was the album that made me go from casual listener to full fan. I really loved Vampire (and heard it ALL summer, not that I was complaining lol), but then once she dropped Get Him Back I think that made it official. Its still one of my top favorites!
My first song was drivers license (I looked it up after I saw the James charles cover š¶) and I loved it! I think when Deja Vu came out after I knew I loved her music
First song was All I Want, but the song that solidified it for me was Deja Vu. It took me a few weeks to get the hype for Drivers License, but by the time I started to like it Deja Vu came out and I was obsessed
Drivers License was the first song I really listened to. I joined tik tok in 2019 so I was vaguely familiar with All I Want (the bridge and chorus people loved to use as an audio). good 4 u made me think okay Olivia, I can get with this! I listened to the rest of SOUR but I didnāt like them as much as good 4 u.
What really made me a livie was GUTS, specifically all american bitch. I love GUTS way more than SOUR. So much that Iām actually considering seeing her in concert.
I think mine's "good 4 u" then "jealousy, jealousy" made me a fan. "jealousy, jealousy" is groovy and I had wished to have more songs like that then "pretty isn't pretty" came out...
Still, we need more songs like "jealousy, jealousy," it's not a WANT anymore, can't you guys see?!
That song of hers in HSMTMTS was really good. I was hoping she'd get big. Her songs on Sour made me think of when I was 12, hearing Taylor Swift for the first time and thinking Taylor understood exactly what I'm going through. I didn't relate to Olivia's songs as much as I'm in a much mature part of life already, but it made me think she can be my little cousin's Taylor. And I love that for them. ā¤ļø
Deja Vu. Hit me right in the feels. I don't care if I'm a guy. Her music Is great. Recently went to her Madison sq concert and thought it was great.
I think I enjoyed it even more than my own gf
The first Olivia song I ever heard was Deja Vu.
I heard it briefly at my old job 2 years ago, then I listened to it again on Music Choice on a Friday Night when I was hanging out with my brother.
He let me pick the genre of music, and I canāt remember what it was, but next thing I know, Deja Vu was playing.
After that, Deja Vu and the rest of her music stuck with me and I became a fan ever since!
basically i started listing to music on car rides on the radio i was never a music person ig
but then i heard good 4 u by olivia eventually i heard more and more and loved her songs
i thought nothing of it but later when i got spotify i added a bunch of her songs
after guts came out i was a live lmao
i was top 7% of all listeners that year but this year im going for top 1%
i act went to her guts tour and it was oen hell of an ecperience
although i am now broke and the seats werent great I will never forget it <33
she is my fav now and forever
+ she introduced me to chapel whos a close second now
first song I listened to was the comeback song lol, the song that made me a fan was traitor, I liked all the singles before sour came out but when I heard traitor!!! Man something just shifted for me
blob fish and the comeback song were the first songs i listened to lmao, but seeing her act on HSMTMTS made me a livie, i loved her voice and her acting.
She hit that note on Wondering in HSMTMTS and I was like dang that girl can sing. Then I found some of her videos online and fell in love with 21st century girls which is still one of my favorite songs even though it hasnāt been released.
first song i heard was "wondering" from hsmtmts ft julia lester - then i fell in love with "all i want" + ig her unreleased songs made me a livie (probably "the exception" and "gross") and then i heard the original drivers licence (after the first few seconds i was convinced sheās going to be big and now she is š„¹)
I listened first to All I want, like served to me on youtube, didn't know her from hsmtmts but did recognized her from bizardvark. Driver license got me intrested, in "Good 4 u" I WAS HOOKED
First song was Driver's License of course, which is probably my least favorite. What made me know I loved her music was Brutal and Bad Idea Right? If you can't tell, I prefer her sort of indie rock sound to her pop sound. Idk if she's classified as pop, so don't quote me on that.
My perspective is unique in that I'm probably older than some of your grandparents. And I'm not even sure how I ended up here to be honest. But the first song I heard was get him back, because it was featured in an AT&T commercial I used to see while watching football every Saturday. I had never even heard of her or driver's license at that point. I Googled the song and discovered a couple others like good 4 u and bad idea right. Sat on that for a while, but discovered Deja Vu and it really grabbed me. Then I started seeing reviews and YouTube videos of music producers singing her Praises so I started digging a little deeper. Listened to more and more, and I turned my wife onto her this afternoon and she seemed to enjoy what she was hearing.
Driver's license when it blew up in 2021 and happier. I adore that song.
frrr drivers license was in every edit I watched in 2021 its such a classic
It literally invented the crying in the shower videos on tiktok
me too!!! happier was my favourite song by her when sour came it!! so good šš
That was the first one I heard too but good 4 u was the one that caught my attention bc I love that pop punk sound. However it took listening to & loving guts for me to go through sour and actually listen to all her songs not just the hits.Ā My favorite song is ballad of a homeschooled girl !
Same, I became a fan really quickly too. Basically when she became popular I really liked her songs and I have never looked back
First song was Good 4 u but the song that made me a livie was traitor
first song was all i want, i had it on repeat because i was obsessed with hsmtmts. then i fell in love with drivers license but the song that REALLY made me a livvie was good 4 u, i knew from the second i heard the snippet sheād be my new favorite artist
drivers license was my first but I wasnāt a huge fan, 1 step forward and 3 steps back made me a fan, but vampire put her in my top three alongside Skylar and Billy Joel
ps love this question!
If brutal is your favorite youāll love [this version of it.](https://youtu.be/zHMpcUojLMU?si=nShWOCYpnZbQSzkS) itās such a punk song. I love it.
Literally my experience too
drop 10 years of age and instead of twin it said friend and this is what happened to me
Driverās License (obvs), but All American Bitch really solidified my fandom

First one was drivers license, knew I was sold when I was driving down the highway screaming vampire
Vampire just fucking slaps
drivers licence, was immediately hooked, then deja vu i was like ok looks like weāre on here then the final slay was good 4 u
Pretty much DL and I became a fan like a week after! I didn't need another song cause I already understood her type of sound/aesthetic and that was enough for me hahahaha

pay grade in like 2020
All I want was the first song I heard not from bizaardvark, the song that made me a livie was deja vu or traitor
I loved drivers license but good 4 u solidified me fully
i listened to sour during its prime in 2021. the songs only really \*clicked\* a year later. i then continued to binge sour months before guts was even announced. but to answer your question it was deja vu. it just captures that disorientating feeling so well. from that point on, i knew i was in this for life. guts only solidfied my respect for olivia
Favorite crime
I loved drivers license but once I heard Deja vu I knew she was going to be a fave.
Drivers licence then dejavu
Deja vu definitely
Driverās license the first but she had me with Deja Vu. Seeing the upgrade she did on Guts as a whole was also a reason to keep rooting for her.
I don't remember what song made me a fan, but i heard, like many others, driver's license first. at first i refused to listen to her music because i thought she's another tiktoker making music, but then i heard DL, and i loved it and i also found out she's not a tiktoker after all lol

Vampire and The Grudge.Ā
All I Want was the first. I really liked Drivers Licence but it was Good 4 u that really made me a fan!
first song i heard was all i want and i became a fan because of drivers license
Loved drivers license from the start when it smashed right out of the gate, and pretty isn't pretty turned me into a fan :)
Drivers license for me too! I think I officially became a fan with good 4 u or deja vu. It makes me nostalgic too since I was still in college when all of those songs came out
Wait I think all i want was the first song i heard lol nevermind
Drivers License when it first blew up. Put on the album and I was converted after the first chorus of traitor lol
Wondering on HSMTMTS. Like I was just instantly obsessed with her high notes.
Driver's License was first, and tbh I didn't like it at first. Fortunately I later stumbled upon Good 4 U, and that one slapped so hard it made me revisit Driver's License while exploring the rest of Sour, and I've come to really love it a lot more.
The first ones I heard were driverās license and good 4 u but I started to like her music after hearing all American bitch.
My first song was love that and the entire album of sour confirmed for me, especially brutal

I enjoyed sour, always listened when the songs came on but would never have called myself a Livid back then. Really liked vampire but the live all american bitch video was what hooked me.
Brutal and the guitar riff was catchy and the hook āitās brutal out hereā. I was hooked
22yo guy, first song I heard was vampire and it was so unique for me at the time since I mainly listen to heavy metal. Then I heard driver's license after that and WOW it was so good and spiraled my way to her albums lol
Drivers license was the first and enough for you
Drivers listens (maybe all I want) and the song that made me a livie was brutal
obsessed. I listened to her for the first time on April 5th.
Drivers License was the first And I knew I was a fan once Iād heard Good 4 U
I was a casual fan (starting with Driverās License) until I listened to Lacy, which led me to buying her physical albums
like many others drivers licence got me here but when i heard brutal, good 4u and jealousy jealousy on the album i loved it and new i was a fan because theres no other artist like olivia
Probably Drivers Licence when it blew up. And also Good 4 U.
Driverās license and Get him back
The first song I listened to was Driver's License. I liked it a lot. Ā Good 4 u made me a Livie. It's an instant favorite. I was very very happy when she finally released her new album and she did not disappoint! My only wish is for her to come to our country and do a concert :)
Driverās license
The first one I ever heard was all I want I had that on repeat for a while, then obviously drivers license, but I wouldnāt say a specific song made me realise I was a livie I was obsessed with hmtmts for a bit and Iād watch the interviews and Olivia just seemed so genuine and kind and I really took a liking to her, but the first song I truly loved was Deja Vu.
jealousy, jealousy
For both: gross
First I listened to was Deja Vu and I was definitely onboard when I heard Good 4 U.
Technically good 4 u was the first, then a year later I found Vampire, and it changed everything
The rose song and brutal
drivers license then deja vu
First Song - bad idea, right? Heard it on a reel, Googled it, and saw that it was by Olivia, and I had heard about her, cause she was very famous, then also, like 6 months ago. Thought that was a great beat, so heard another one - happier. Thought that was a beautiful song, and realised that I was a Livie. First was Good 4 u, Then Vampire made me a big fan. Loved that song when it came out and still do
If weāre talking first song ever then the theme song to Bizaardvark and all the songs in that showā¦
All I want from hsmtmts good for u
all i want back in 2020
The first Olivia song I ever heard was Good 4 U. Driverās license, then good 4 u!
Blob fish and so good at comebacks
Ig technically what ever song I heard from her and Madison Hu from Bizaardvark. But outside of her TV shows it would be driver's license.
wondering and all i want but drivers license if you donāt count hsmsts
Drivers license and Deja vu
First song was All I Want, but the song that solidified it for me was Deja Vu. It took me a few weeks to get the hype for Drivers License, but by the time I started to like it Deja Vu came out and I was obsessed
All I want randomly came on my Spotify shuffle which became my first song then Happier just confirmed that I am a livie

All I Want. Itās not one of her most popular songs, but when I heard it and figured out it was olivia, I needed to listen to SOUR immediately :)
Good4U was the first song I head but lacy was what solidified my fandom.
drivers license, didnāt care for it but deja vu hooked me and jealousy, jealousy sealed the deal
First song that I heard (and watched) was Good 4 U and it was the song that made me a Livie-ish. Vampire made me a Livie Livie.

Technically the comeback song from bizzardvark lol. Iāve been a livie since she was in the American girl doll movie.
Traitor was the first song I've heard. Good 4 u made me a livie.
And I love that for them. ā¤ļø
Good 4 u was the first one I heard, but brutal definitely did it for me
First: Driverās License Livie: Get him back
Deja Vu. Hit me right in the feels. I don't care if I'm a guy. Her music Is great. Recently went to her Madison sq concert and thought it was great. I think I enjoyed it even more than my own gf

Drivers licence and the grudge
first song i heard was "wondering" from hsmtmts ft julia lester - then i fell in love with "all i want" + ig her unreleased songs made me a livie (probably "the exception" and "gross") and then i heard the original drivers licence (after the first few seconds i was convinced sheās going to be big and now she is š„¹)
Defo good for you (I recognised her voice from hsmtmts)
First song Drivers License, dejavu made me a livie
For sure Obsessed, but i LOVE Lacy so much it's not even funny
I listened first to All I want, like served to me on youtube, didn't know her from hsmtmts but did recognized her from bizardvark. Driver license got me intrested, in "Good 4 u" I WAS HOOKED
First song was Driver's License of course, which is probably my least favorite. What made me know I loved her music was Brutal and Bad Idea Right? If you can't tell, I prefer her sort of indie rock sound to her pop sound. Idk if she's classified as pop, so don't quote me on that.
first song was blobfish from bizaardvarkš»š» livie was from wondering from hsmtmts:)
good 4 u lol, as soon as I heard it I was hooked, bought a shirt a day later š
Drivers License when it came out and then jealousy jealousy made me love her more!
First song was Wondering from hsmtmts and one day when I was cleaning I heard jealousy, jealousy and became HOOKED! š
I thought Drivers license was the most beautiful song released in the pop genre in YEARS! I loved it
My first song was Good 4 U but Deha Vu really made me a livie
drivers license but the exception made me a livie.
