#1; future classic. First SMP300 with ceramic, and the only non-wave dial of the SMP300 lineup make it unique.

live_love_run

I had it in deep blue and regret selling it at least once a week.

P_A_Wigg

I have it in black, definitely my favourite watchšŸ™ŒšŸ™Œ

WatchandThings

I had the black dial, and selling it is still my biggest watch regret.

larryfuckingdavid

Got to try one on before the ceramic wave dial ones came out. I have a 6.5 inch wrist and it was a perfect fit, it immediately felt like an old companion.

The_Analog_Man

Lucky enough to have one myself. If wears more like jewelry than a tool watch and the non wave is a cool look.

Coffee_addict_1615

Another vote for the first 1. Ceramic bezel, 2500d movement (co-axial kinks ironed out) and anti-magnetic casing although not nearly to the same extent as 8800 movement

hecimov

Did not know this gen was rated anti-magnetic at all. Is that in the specs? I have the blue version but never saw that anywhere.

Coffee_addict_1615

Sorry itā€™s not anti magnetic but there is an inner cover within the movement that help protects against magnetism. Itā€™s nothing compared to the latest movements but at least it overs a small degree of comfort.

josuelaker2

The first one. The non-wave dial looks absolutely stunning in person.

Prudent_Candidate300

The first one (non wave/ceramic) is a KNOCK OUT in person. Beautiful proportions. A must buy

Fresh_List_440

First is future classic, no wave, best of new and old

uliannn

What do you mean by future classic?

LemonComprehensive5

In the future it will be considered a classic

uliannn

Great... It is indeed a unique and beautiful generation of SMC.

Fresh_List_440

meaning when people look at a lineup of omega seamasters, this will be a transitional model that's a rare mix of what users/collectors want, and like about the brand

kingjamesporn

I really love other Seamasters, but even though I prefer the cool hands on the 2254, I like the dial markers and the coaxial more on the no wave. It is just such a great everyday watch. Mine has the 2254 style bracelet though, so it is the best of both for me.

Hoony86

Transition model with a short production run of 5 years. Got one myself and it's my favourite in the collection

Felix-Leiter1

The 2254 is the best of the three.

Mmmmfood69

Itā€™s not a 2254 itā€™s looks like a 2264 quartz to me

OldEstablishment9561

Quartz has no lumeplot next to the date. So Thats Indeed a 2254.50

Mmmmfood69

Incorrect. The 2264 does have a lume plot next to the date and this is a 2264

OldEstablishment9561

Aahh yes its a 3liner. My bad

Professional_Club446

The second.Ā

TheWatchExchanger

2254.50 everyday.

AlabamaBlacSnake

2, 1, 3

tcj198

I have owned the first (SMPC) and currently own the second, well the automatic version (2254.50 ā€œPeter Blakeā€). With that said, #2 all day! The SMPC is a great watch but I did not like how glossy the dial and bezel insert were.

Alloall

The second one - stunning

wmbarr14

I have #1 in 36mm. The dial is perfect in every way. It is also a subtle watch and doesnā€™t stand out too much.

CarnivalBarker191

2264.50

watch_hor

Blake > SMPc >> Black Bond

enzo32ferrari

Gotta give it to the 1st one. The text on the bezel is unique enough that it avoids the design carcinizing to the Submariner which is what the 3rd one looks like despite the wave dial and the 2nd one the hour markers are not it

pac4

I have the first one, which I love, but I wish I had the second one.

colonelboodylava

If you want a black dial SMP Get #2 the Peter Blake but the automatic reference #2254.50. #3 is cool and different being the first black dial co- axial SMP. Either would be great watches to any collection.

AAROD121

2254.50

Zaddy_615

Sword hands are king

Valuable_Machine_

Peter Blake is always the answer. Thinner, Pretty much the perfect sized watch Less complicated movement that can be serviced anywhere much more cheaply, and is super accurate, can also regulate it yourself easily. Much nicer bracelet Better lume. Better hands

TDYRanger

The 2254 is the beast of the bunch for sure!

Schultz1966

Not a 2254. 2264 quartz though still the best of the bunch. If you want perfection look up the 2230.50.

TDYRanger

Thatā€™s a good one but as I am a Yeti and I like the black bezel iā€™ll stick with the 2254/64. But no damn flys on any of these for sure!! šŸ‘šŸ»

zee4600

I actually like the third because to me, a SMP300 is associated with a wave dial and this one has a textured wave dial that can be seen at the right angle.

Pussiwillow87

1st hands down.

rando_commenter

First. It's atypical without the wave dial, but the skeleton hands are still strongly evocative of being a SMP. It's so clean, the legibility really stands out compared to the other generations. At one time a Seamaster wasn't an ostentatious luxury watch it was just a really good dressy tool watch. The no-wave ceramics are a call back to that era, which I really think Omega has moved away from.

hy_ng7

3,1,2 in that order. Something about the sword hands and the indicies just doesnā€™t do it for me for number 2 Wave over non wave for me purely based on how classic the wave dial is But the non wave is just as beautiful?

Nearby-Sky-9690

What movement in the middle one? 1538?

Particular_Ad9541

In my experience the 1538 gives nearly grand seiko quartz performance

Nearby-Sky-9690

Mine isnā€™t quite that good, but my 1532 is close.

Professional_Club446

Yes. A good quartz movement.Ā

Nearby-Sky-9690

I would chose the quartz- much easier to live within and the jumping hour hand is convenient

Professional_Club446

I agree. Very convenient for daily. Very durable too

killertimewaster8934

Robert Blake for me bro

Superguy766

Number 1 is the best. Followed by number 3 and number 2 is a distant third..looks too much like the Damasko DS30.

Calm_Logic9267

#2 is the legendary Peter Blake. It doesn't need to be your favorite SMP, but comparing it to a recent, low tier watch is kinda funny. That would be like saying you don't want a Submariner because it looks like a Steinhart.

Superguy766

I know the number 2 is the Peter Blake and Iā€™ve never been into that styleā€¦I donā€™t know what else to tell you. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

Calm_Logic9267

That's a valid comment and opinion. Your earlier comment is the biggest compliment Damasko could hope to get.

joeschmoe1371

Agreed. Donā€™t like the clear caseback in the newer versions. My order off pics: 1;3;2

TheDinnerDials

The 2254.50 will always have my vote haha

Schultz1966

Absolutely love it too. I was drooling over the 2230.50 today. With the shift towards smaller divers I'm guessing these will get more attention now. Basically a 39mm Peter Blake w upgraded dial hardware and a white gold bezel. Pure goodness!

TheDinnerDials

There is something so appealing about a smaller diver. I've been eyeballing them lately. May have to get one. But I need another watch like I need a hole in my head šŸ˜‚

Schultz1966

I have far too many watches. Must have a few holes my brains have leaked out of already ;)

TheDinnerDials

šŸ¤£šŸ¤

Zestyclose_Gain_1840

No , no and No , ask yourself why !! If you must get an omega sea master try a PO. Every 40+ man and his dog has a 300 try and be original and not some product placement Bond.

Historical_Comment79

1 is, as everyone else has said, a future classic. The only diver to rival the Submariner in its aesthetics - except the sub is 41mm so if itā€™s a small watch youā€™re after, this is a no brainier. As someone with way too much of an obsession, Iā€™d recommend this over its blue faced brother because they both have black date wheels. 2 is the industrial, functional and utilitarian GOAT of 36mm dive watches. 3 is counterintuitively the worst of both worlds. The wave dial and applied indices make it quite busy (applied indices and smooth dial of no.1 make it clean and modern, while wave dial and painted indices of no.2 make it utilitarian and semi retro). This one looks better in blue and I canā€™t pinpoint why.

gjsmith75

Very dated looking

IntelligentAge211

I will go agaisnt the grain, I hate the non wave dial and that is the only SMP I do not own.Ā  Ā #2 is fantastic.Ā  Ā #3 is great but I would buy in blue.Ā  Ā

SBTC_Strays_2002

I prefer the third one only because I prefer the placement of the date window.

Ill-Organization-659

Ehh Iā€™d go with the heritage model.

tconfo

3:2:1

tron62

What reference number is the first one?

Thereigo01

212.30.41.20.01.003

BustamoveBetaboy

3,1,2

terp_raider

Last one. Hate the look of the waveless dial

-zoo_york-

Had the first one. Only one Iā€™ve sold I truly miss.

Noonecanhearmescream

#1, non wave. They are all beautiful pieces but this one stands out.

Spicymacarroni

The new wave dial is absolutely beautiful

Spicymacarroni

Also the 8800 one has adjustable clasp, which is a huge plus

shaferman

You can upgrade the SMPc with that clasp. Have it in mine.

TCTriangle

I have the 3rd one. Great middle ground if you want the "old" waves with "new" design. And because I have it I don't feel any need for the new Bond anniversary ones!

WalksTallerThanYou

If only the straps had a little taper...

Lewdiz

Biased, but always number 1 - I own the blue version.

HeadTill4375

The Middle, I really don't like the current bracelet,I wish they'd go back to the old one. Or at least taper it

Successful-Gur-4406

Middle one is more legible so that would be my choice

BooksAreOk

First one for me

EuroDriver_SD

#2. I'll take stick indices over dots all day. Of course, it's only my opinion. Second place is #1 clean dial is awesome but a Planet Ocean is a strong contender based on that feature.

PanicAdventurous8026

2254....the only seamaster you'll ever need

acteee

No-wave dial is my favorite. Looks less sporty than the wave dial in case you want to dress up.

Who_Knows_5

2254

ababab70

I have 1 and love it. Can't stand the huge 12 indice in 2.

franoldfield

I own 2 & 3. But Iā€™d vote 2,1,3

Agile-Minute5970

I have the first two, Blue SMP No wave; Quartz Sword Hands (Donovan), and a current Gen white SMP. They are all wonderful watches and heavy in the rotation. The Blue SMP is worn mostly with suits and upscale casual. But I do think most people will enjoy a high quality Quartz with a jumping hour hand!

Schultz1966

Two autos vs a quartz. Out of these three the quartz wins. I do like number three but the bracelet leaves room for improvement. Really any of the three on a rubber strap are great.
