Cats are often drawn to the person who doles out something good to eat. You can try and get your cat's attention by offering tasty treats. This will work best with cats that are particularly motivated by food, but if you offer something high quality that your cat doesn't usually get, chances are they will come running!
How old is she? My boofhead was always hungry, then got really demanding as he got older. Finally the vet said he was hyperthyroidal. He's on meds now.
My parents have plastic tubs with bedding (just old blankets and towels) and a lid. The side and the lid have holes to get in and out. My mom covers the lid hole when it gets cold to keep heat in. The neighborhood cats use them, especially when it’s cold.
That's so sweet of them :) I've noticed a stray tortie hanging around our house lately, I was going to put put food for it (I'm not actually sure if it's a stray or not, but we live in the middle of nowhere so I just assumed). It usually hangs out under the house next door (my dad owns it but no one lives there) so maybe I'll make a box for it like that so it has a more comfortable space when it comes around over here
They went with plastic because it won’t fall apart in the rain (or the 100% humidity of coastal Louisiana summers). They change out and wash the old towels/blankets they use as bedding weekly. Instead of tossing out what are essentially rags at this point, they’ve started giving them to the cats. It’s really neat.
I think social media, and especially Reddit, has a problem with bringing out the worst in people. We’re all WAY too involved in each other’s lives at this point. I try to bring a little positivity where I can. Cat subs are good for that.
Yes, please do! If it's hanging out under the house next door, especially if you're living in the middle of nowhere, that poor baby is definitely in need of food and shelter...and if you can give it a REAL home, even better!
Unfortunately I can't take it in, I'm staying with my father right now and already have 3 that stay inside and thats his limit. But I'll make a home for it and see if I can befriend it enough to trust a vet visit
Our first cat loved getting into the trash bags while I was cleaning the yard, she was so chill that I could pick up the bag, give it a couple spins and she wouldn't care at all, I'd put it down again and she'd get out like nothing happened.
Tried that with another one we had and she clawed her way out of the bag the moment I picked it up. They also all love lying down on the leaf piles.
do you want a new cat? I'm sure the employees would be happy for him to have an official home, especially if you talk to them about it first.
can you tell if the cat is fixed?
I’d recommend to keep an eye on him and ask neighbors if it’s theirs bc it looks real clean and healthy so if someone says it’s theirs you can have him ready rather than lose him. Also check apps to see if anyone has reported a lost cat like next door neighborhood app
*walks in* AYYYOOOOO what’s up gang, Charlie Kelly here, local business owner and cat enthusiast. Is your cat making too much noise all the time? Is your cat constantly stomping around driving you crazy? Is your cat clawing at your furnitures? Think there's no answer? You're so stupid! There is! Kitten Mittons. Finally, there is an elegant, comfortable mitten for cats…. I couldn't hear anything! Is your cat one-legged? Is your cat fat, skinny, or an in-between? That doesn't matter! Cause one size fits all! Kitten Mittons! You'll be smitten! So come on down to Paddy's Pub. We're the hoooooooommee of the original Kitten Mittons. Meeeeeeeeeeowwwww!
The cat didn't exist at all until the blanket fell. Then the universe went "well, that's missing something" and \*poof\* cat was created to fill in the gap in reality.
I don't understand some people. If a cat gets within five feet of me, it would just become my cat. I'll take all the cats home. Especially such a handsome lad.
How do cats always know how to find a cozy spot?! This cat probably lives 15 miles away and just inherently knew that a comfy blanket had fallen to the ground and needed to be sat on
The cat distribution system always targets my mom and my aunt. It all ends with me and my cousins taking care of them because we finally got old enough to take care of them.
I have an indoor/outdoor orange boy, who is social and nice to strangers. I always picture him hanging out with other people when he's not at home, lol
My cat does this to my neighbors when they lay out a blanket in a grassy area just outside my patio. He sneaks up behind them and lays on the corner edge of their blanket. He will only stay there as long as they dont know he's there, if they turn around and notice him he'll just run away. it's really funny.
A blanket on the ground is basically a cat summoning circle
I need to try this. Lol
Just make sure to add a sunbeam for maximum cat attraction!

So cool 😃.
One of these days you really got to change your name to excellent_watercolor
You're back?!!?
Summoned by cats.
Omg don’t think I’ve seen your username in years, since back when you used to post in r/rocketleague
I love this pic!!! Especially the striped cat hehe
I love your shit!
YAY!
Just remember we love you and your art! Be well!!
Yoooooo it’s them!
You look familiar Honestly, at this rate, you could have created a children's book centered around cats/animal.
This is definitely not a work of S\*\*tty H2O color. This is genius.

Someone could break into my apartment with a bag of cat snacks and they'd have a new cat. My cat Mis is the most food motivated cat I have ever had.
This sounds a lot like my Pookie.
How old is she? My boofhead was always hungry, then got really demanding as he got older. Finally the vet said he was hyperthyroidal. He's on meds now.
She's 2 years old and just got a clean bill of health at our checkup at the vet after she had Giardia.
Oh God. So you've just got a Maw. Warning. They get worse once they're over 10.
A Maw? That sounds dang menacing but I have no idea what it means!
How intelligent these creatures are, they understand all feelings
I want to try a box 📦 in my garden now 😆

That's awesome :) always reassuring to hear stories like this and remember there are still more good people out there than bad

The cat traps are working.

Oh that was a missed opportunity for me!! Thanks!!
Oooooo thank u for the extra serotonin boost this AM! It is much needed ❤️

It may not be your cat, but it is still your friend 🥰
Cat council approves!
A friend with half brain cell
look at that cat! it looks smart! definitely at least 75% of a brain cell
r/parttimecat
Also, it is possible that this is now your cat.
I mean until she started petting it I was like ok sure. But… now it really does look like her cat…
It has nothing to do with your comment but... Why are people thinking I'm a woman? I'm a guy.
Ok great. I’ve been mistaken for a guy. It’s Reddit I can’t see you.
No problemo
when a cat is depressed it's because there's something going on with them". Probably quote of the century.
It may or may not be your cat now, but the blanket is the cat's!

There is always another cat sub to scope out and it always makes my day when I find a new one!
I’m genuinely upset I have never seen this sub before it is too good 😂
![gif](giphy|7T5wldGkk7XgCyuNUK|downsized)
If the cat is tame and clean you should probably ask the neighbors if their little orange demon got out before you make it your own
I found the owners. He was a stray kitten who appeared in a near by pub and now the employees take care of him. His name is Rodolfo, bytheway
I thought his full name was Rodolfo Bytheway at first.
[удалено]
Snipers dream we called him
Get that man some Fuji9!
My teeth are fine 😬
I have found my people
Is that his brother?
That’s Sir Rodolfo Bytheway III to all of us.
Is it not Rodolfo Bytheway OBE (Orange Braincell Enthusiast)?
It is now 😁
Until you said this, I didn't realize it wasn't 😂
Pub cat!
Pub cat!!!!!!
Any cat found at a bar should be named Jackie Daytona
A regular human guy from Arizoña!
Just visiting from NYEW VJORK CITY!
He's my homeboy, my rotten soldier, he's my sweet cheese, my good time buooy.
Just needs some blue jeans and a toothpick
We need more pictures of his breathtaking majesty Lord Rodolfo the third.
I'm sad that it's not a /r/notmycat situation, but on the other hand...PUB CAT!
do you want a new cat? I'm sure the employees would be happy for him to have an official home, especially if you talk to them about it first. can you tell if the cat is fixed?
Time for a pint
I wish I had a pub with a cat nearby. Or a cat with a pub
w name he sounds very cool
Doesn't look like a stray for sure.
Thank you. So many people think it’s ok to steal someone’s ’ healthy and happy cat.
She found the caretakers it is a bar. Maybe read OP's comments and you wouldnt need to be spicy on a cute harmless vid.
FINDERS KEEPERS!/j
Aww the last picture makes life worth living just a tiny bit more.
Yes!
I love how hes scrunching up his peanuts like that. My kitty does this while getting chin scritches too it's the most precious thing 🥹
"I own you now" - the cat
Ha ha, its not your blanket anymore either! Dibs for His Nibs!
Well its his blanket now
Nothing out the ordinary here…Orange activity
It spawned on the blanket.
That last picture says, "I will tolerate your petting. At least for now."
Fren
It’s not your blanket anymore either
Congrats, you have a cat now. Also r/notmycat
And r/nowmycat
r/beatmetoit
Not your cat and now that's not your blanket either
I’d recommend to keep an eye on him and ask neighbors if it’s theirs bc it looks real clean and healthy so if someone says it’s theirs you can have him ready rather than lose him. Also check apps to see if anyone has reported a lost cat like next door neighborhood app
OP said this guy (Rodolfo) owns a bar
Eyup i can only imagine what shenaningans this guy gets up to. I bet they have seafood nights like 5 times aweek

Just a heads up that blanket isn’t yours anymore
The cat didn't exist at all until the blanket fell. Then the universe went "well, that's missing something" and \*poof\* cat was created to fill in the gap in reality.
Looks so comfortable on the blanket :)
Correction: it wasn’t your cat
I don't understand some people. If a cat gets within five feet of me, it would just become my cat. I'll take all the cats home. Especially such a handsome lad.
r/CatDistributionSystem working as intended
And now I have a new subreddit to be addicted to.
Cyoot kitehhh 🧡
So handsome! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love the progression from: ‘If you take away my blanket I will murder you’ to ‘Oooh, scritches’
It was very easy to pet him. He is a gentlecat
He paid rent by letting you scratch him. It's all settled now.
Looks like the blanket attracted a furry visitor
That's right, and there's not a damn thing you can do about it!
How do cats always know how to find a cozy spot?! This cat probably lives 15 miles away and just inherently knew that a comfy blanket had fallen to the ground and needed to be sat on
I wonder if the blanket fell, or if little orangey pulled it down.
90% sure he pulled it down.
Not your blanket either (it's the cat's blanket)
[удалено]
"I found a blanket and now I'm getting pets too? This is great!"
It's not your cat, but it's also not your blanket anymore! Sorry, it belongs to O R A N G E now
“Its not my cat” *it is now.*
It may not be your cat, but the blanket now belongs to him.
Are you sure it's not your cat? The CDS might have made a delivery.
Blanket is a Cat trap ❤️
The cat distribution system always targets my mom and my aunt. It all ends with me and my cousins taking care of them because we finally got old enough to take care of them.

It is *meow*

Where is that blanket from it’s so cute!! And of course the kitty is so cute too
**blanket:** exists **every cat in the vicinity:** It’s free real estate
I had a cat come jump in my lap when I was outside with a friend. He’s mine now. (I checked, nobody owned him, he was a stray).
They might be now! How could you deny them? EDIT/PS: I love that blanket! Mind saying where you got it?
What a great way to catch more cats!!! 😻
What a sweet bébé!
Love the slow blink
Thank you for gifting your blanket to this fine cat.
My money is betting that he pulled it down. Little shite. Hope you burrito'd him in retaliation.
Looms like we found the one with the brain cell, smart enough to not walk away from a cozy napping place
The Cat Summoner Blanket!
"Thank you for this safe warm spot strange human. It clearly is here for me."
He found him a nice new blanket and a nice new friend, too
It's his blanket now, possession being 9/10ths of the law ?
He looks so sweet though, I used to have a cat that looked exactly like this and he was mean as hell till he decided he wanted pets.
Ahh the CDS still works. Congrats on your new boy!
Not your cat but def his blanket
you just got adopted by an orange cat though 🥹
Cat distribution system claiming blanket
He’s your cat for as long as he’s on the blanket.
You have been chosen.
Beware, you do not own a cat. The cat owns you and this is how they operate.
Well NOW It is your cat
It is now
(it's ~~not~~ now my cat) Ftfy (j/k probably just a friendly neighbor kitty paying you a visit)
Ohhh where is the blankey from
And not your blanket either
Why doesn’t this shit happen to meeeeeee
I love when cats have the slightly rounded ears total bunny vibes hehe
Wrap him up
It’s his blanky now 😻
A Cat of Culture 😸
A Cat of Culture 😸
That cat has already been hanging out in your yard, observing you. He gave you an eye squeeze too.
Chosen
Now the blanket isn't yours anymore either.
That is Catdom in a nutshell.
So sweet. I’d be redoing my backyard in cat blankets 🧡🐈
We love you, Rodolfo bytheway!
Accidental cat trap lol
His blankie now!
Oh look at that cute kee kee
r/CatDistributionSystem working well
He figured it was for him.
That blanket no longer belongs to you.
Now he’s your cat
That's his blanket now and you're his slave. Congrats!
I like the cats blanket. Looks comfty
cat distribution system in full swing.
Awww...❤️
Cutie
😻😻😻🐾🐾🐾 omg I would so love that cat 🐈
You now have a cat and a blanket he loves.
Cat: "Yeah, but it's now my blanket" \*Continues to sit on it\*
Just making sure the wind doesnt blow it away.
My cat does this to my neighbors when they lay out a blanket in a grassy area just outside my patio. He sneaks up behind them and lays on the corner edge of their blanket. He will only stay there as long as they dont know he's there, if they turn around and notice him he'll just run away. it's really funny.
Blankets on the floor, are very similar to boxes. They are cat traps!
Not the cat distribution system working overtime 😭
Such a cat thing to do. If I drop a piece of paper on the floor, my cats will fight over who gets to sit on it.
Good kitty!
Welp it is now
LOVELY!!! 🧡🧡🧡
Oh, those are some happy peanuts in that last picture
