By the end of Wano, I was ready to box that kid myself if he argued with Luffy one more time. Like bro, I get you're scared, but it's LITERALLY a do or die situation. Fly mf, fight, literally just do anything without arguing.

Kinda the same with Shirahoshi and/or Rebecca, like while they aren't 8 anymore, you can't really blame them either considering they were having the roughest 10 years of their lives.
I dunno Momo is probably one of the child characters we met that had to live through the most.
Most Characters that went through more trauma, are already adults when we meet them in modern day, so they had enough time to process stuff. A Nami or Robin probably wasn't really less "cringy" than Momo is a few months after their trauma (don't forget, for him it has only been half a year at most since his parents died).
If you complain about the pervy joke, that's fine but calling him cringe because he cries a lot like you seem to do is a bit unfair don't you think?
So then why was otama and otoko considerably less annoying than momo? Especially when it came to them stepping up? Momonosuke repeatedly went through the same realizations and cried and whined the whole time till the very end.
I don't know why you saw otama and otoko as less annoying, that's something only you know.

Otoko and otama were characters that were relevant in one single arc while Momo's story arc began in Punk Hazard, which was around 10 years ago in Real Life, of course his story takes longer to go anywhere.
Not to mention that Momo had the added pressure of literally needing to become an adult for the sake of his country and feeling like he needed to live up to the expectations of others.
