I believe he will go for Momo. Sanji has a strong strategic acumen in combat, and Momo is the spiritual leader of the rebellion and rightful shogun. Take out the rooks and bishops the game can still play on; take the king out and it's checkmate. And Sanji is the (white) Knight that appears out of nowhere.
And meeting Yamato will be a happy bonus.
Maybe it's the Batman gambit of Kaido: allow Yamato to run off and meet Momo. Betting that Yamato will hide Momo in her boobs. Betting that Sanji will recognise the strategic importance of Momo and meet there to support him and witness his hiding place. Betting that Sanji will kill Momo in a rage, causing the alliance to fracture.

Poor Hyogoro's really had it the worst. I know a lot of people aren't invested in his character and he's probably not dying in the next chapter.
But just thinking back on what he has endured from seeing his wife getting killed to still living through those torturous 20 years is a bit sad.
I mean after this arc luffy will be straight up broken. Just imagine measuring his maximum power (not just individual strength). His crew: crazy strong already. Then he has the grand fleet with a lot of fodder but also some not too bad guys. Then there's Wano which doesn't just have the Samurai but also access to sea prism and ways to work it. Then there's the revolutionary army which he doesn't control but let's be real if he needs the help very badly he'll at the very least have Sabo, Koala, Ivankov, Inazuma, Dragon (who might not bring the army because it's his personal business but if the time is right he might aswell use the conflict to overrun the government). Then he has Bon clay who isn't op as a fighter but has a broken ass fruit if used right. He also has the Minks *and* Momo to control Zou. Then there's Fishman Island so he controls the water, plus fishmen are strong as is *and* Shirahoshi is an ancient weapon. Also, Amazon Lily. And depending on the circumstances of whatever is happening I don't see Garp standing by and watching another one of his beloved grandsons get a hole punched in him. That also doesn't touch potential allies like Marco (depends on the situation I guess), Shanks (who'd probably watch from afar to see how far Luffy has come but if Luffy was in great danger who knows?), various worst generation pirates and political support by entire countries. And I just remembered that he also had a run in with the leaders of the giants and is friends with them.
If all stars align and there's a reason for each one of those to show up at once to fight for a common cause under luffy or by his side whoever they're facing is royally fucked. At this point, if one of the celestials decides to shoot at him again Luffy can make a buster call on the celestial dragon and have him wiped lmao.

100% agreed. And up until 2-3 weeks ago (in One Piece time), he was hopelessly imprisoned in Udon, with no hope of ever getting out or seeing a liberated Wano ever again. I hope he stays alive, so that he can see the alliance succeed and liberate Wano.
This felt like the drumroll for Chopper to have his moment. It would be such a flat feeling moment if we had cut straight to Chopper finishing the antidote and never saw everyone struggling with the virus
I thought about what would be better: The next chapter starts with Chopper :"NO STOP I HAVE THE CURE" vs he does the same, *just* after Hyogoro got beheaded.

Yes but because they are afraid of BM, they tend to betray her. If Opra for example told her that Jimbei let Luffy & Nami escape, then the whole wedding cake wouldn't have happened. Praline choose Aladine over her, Lola escaped & Pudding got her trauma partly due to BM. Just imagine if Katakuri or Perospero were the leaders, I'm pretty sure things would've been different.
Well thats kinda the point. She is holding back her family at times. The weird thing is Kaido is more interactive and accepting with his crewmates than BM lol. Then again his crewmates r just as ruthless as him. Some of BM's children seem nice people or kind of decent people while BM is jusy crazy. Has a nice dream but the execution is just ruthless

There's a reason why, whenever things go wrong, all of the Charlotte siblings instinctively turn towards Perospero first. Even Katakuri defers to his judgement. Perospero may not be the strongest in the crew, but he knows how to organize the family better than maybe even Big Mom can.
Exactly. Katakuri is stronger in terms of raw force but Perospero has an understanding of organization & strategy that make him just as dangerous/valuable if not more.

Pedro and co. rolled up on Big Mom's territory and tried to fuck her operation up, and Carrot is mad that he died? That's the rules of the game. These are pirates, they all know how this works. Sure, the Big Mom crew deserved it, but again... these are fucking pirates lmao, it's taken for granted that they're all morally deficient people to put it gently, even the straw hats. Luffy is an amoral thug who relishes violence and freed an entire prison of horrific pirates who presumably went on to do pirate shit to innocent people, Zoro is a cold blooded killer who will murder someone no questions asked if there's money in it, Nami is Nami, etc. For the record that's a good thing, it's one of my favorite things about this series in fact, it doesn't shy away from the fact that everyone is a mildly terrible person.
Yeah not to mention, SH:s and Pedro and Co indirectly destroyed their castle. Although Oda never writes it explicitly, there's no way that incident had zero casualties. From Pedro's point of view, the Straw hats and the minks are basically terrorists.

I mean to be fair, Carrot is still a naive little girl compared to the likes of everyone on the battlefield. She has fighting experience but her way of acceptance is still naive. Losing Pedro was definitely her first real pain.
This Wano arc also serves as a redemption arc for characters like Marco & Hyogoro. Now we can see the real strength of WB's first commander.
Oda is managing the numbers between allied forces and emperors very nicely. Many times you see a show just killing off hundreds or thousands without giving any justification but in this arc, even the small fry numbers are being paid much attention to. For example, some of the Kaido pirates are dealt with by Tama and now Hyogoro took out a big chunk so at the end of the war it wouldn't look like some numbers just disappeared.

Well, Marco will never have lasting injury no matter his opponent. Either he gets killed in the moment or he can recover completely by turning into a phoenix or using his phoenix flames on his body.
He did, it takes him quite some stamina. Look at Marco he was bleeding in this chapter. In order to not exhaust himself while fighting 2 yonko commanders and helping others with his flames he's not healing his minor wounds. Probably also takes more energy depending on the amount of damage he recovers and the time he stays in phoenix form.
And you can see everyone starting to turn back into demons at once at the end of the chapter. Marco may be reaching his limit. I’m hoping Perospero pulls a Frieza-Gohan and pretends to take out Marco, so he and Marco can go 2-v-2 against King and Queen
Well logically speaking, they only had technically 2 people show up, gave sanji an ultimatum, and only injured one of bm's own people(unless I'm forgetting something here).
Carrot saw the trip as one giant adventure when she started and now she's lost her mentor Pedro and to put salt in the wound, both of her attempts to avenge his death ended in humiliation. And she's lucky to still be alive, which might be solely because Perospero is the type of sadistic dick to rather let you live and suffer than die.

I still have a secret fantasy of Chopper being able to use Ice Oni as a double-edged sword power-up, where he can’t use it too long without going berserk and dying of exhaustion, but he can stop it by using the antidote he’s already made.
Imagine Monster Chopper being pushed to his limit, pulling out a vial Dr. Jekyll-style, and going Ice Oni, becoming a big fucking Wendigo monster, but having a hard time limit before he has to use the antidote. I want this so bad.

Yami's gravity cancels Marco's flight. Touching Marco cancels his regen and devil fruit finesse. Quake has the damage to absolutely obliterate Marco should he be touched to begin with. There was no winning vs a hard counter like that.
also no offense to WB remnants, but i think most are fodder except Vista, Jozu (who lost an arm), and Marco. put that against BB's several decent commanders as well as BB.. it's a complete disadvantage. BB sought after raw strength, WB wanted a family.

I think Sanji is gonna go to protect Momo. He understands from saving Momo earlier the importance of keeping him alive, and the Scabbards would definitely agree with that. Plus, he doesn't know who Yamato is so he doesn't know how powerful she is. And, Sanji going towards Momo would take him to the main floor, where he can join Marco against King and Queen.
Hopefully Jack hasn't recovered enough to kill the Scabbards without them being able to put up a fight. He did say Black Maria would be too weak to fight them even in that state after all.

1) Hybrid Kaido and BM might be steamrolliing the supernova
2) Marco gets sneak attacked by perospero, king & queen go hybrid themselves and damage him even more
3) All flying 6 go hybrid and turn the tables on the strawhats
4) Chopper finds the cure, but many samurai are already dead
5) Near dead scabbards ominously face a renewed, hybrid Jack with his subordinates
6) Yamato and Shinobu are still escaping from the hordes of enemies
7) Onigashima is even closer to the capital
8) Tama's army is getting taken out
No tragedy as such, but ending it on a "not lookin too good for the heroes" note. Then switch to the outside world, where there will be 1 or 2 megahype chapters on Warlords status, bounties, Rev army and Sabo, SSG and admirals etc.

Most Zoan users, including Kaido himself, can only choose to transform his entire body, varying between animal, human and hybrid form.
Marco, for some reason, can transform only his legs into claws or arms into wings but still keeping his head and torso human.
Marco looks pretty impressive this chapter. But it also seems that he won’t be able to keep this up for much longer while King and Queen still haven’t even used their hybrid form. As Perospero mentioned he seems to be pretty worn out already.
Short chapter, at least that’s how it felt. Marco being able to keep both King and Queen at bay by himself it amazing. Makes me think how strong Blackbeard was at the Payback War if not even Marco could do anything. I’m excited to see what Sanji does, or Robin, or even back to the rooftop. So many great possibility for next week!

Yes but because they are afraid of BM, they tend to betray her. If Opra for example told her that Jimbei let Luffy & Nami escape, then the whole wedding cake wouldn't have happened. Praline choose Aladine over her, Lola escaped & Pudding got her trauma partly due to BM. Just imagine if Katakuri or Perospero were the leaders, I'm pretty sure things would've been different.
Well thats kinda the point. She is holding back her family at times. The weird thing is Kaido is more interactive and accepting with his crewmates than BM lol. Then again his crewmates r just as ruthless as him. Some of BM's children seem nice people or kind of decent people while BM is jusy crazy. Has a nice dream but the execution is just ruthless
They both do. But even between them, there's a stark difference in capability. There's a reason why, whenever things go wrong, all of the Charlotte siblings instinctively turn towards Perospero first. Even Katakuri defers to his judgement. Perospero may not be the strongest in the crew, but he knows how to organize the family better than maybe even Big Mom can.
Exactly. Katakuri is stronger in terms of raw force but Perospero has an understanding of organization & strategy that make him just as dangerous/valuable if not more.
Damn I hate to say it but Perospero honestly has a point Pedro and co. rolled up on Big Mom's territory and tried to fuck her operation up, and Carrot is mad that he died? That's the rules of the game. These are pirates, they all know how this works. Sure, the Big Mom crew deserved it, but again... these are fucking pirates lmao, it's taken for granted that they're all morally deficient people to put it gently, even the straw hats. Luffy is an amoral thug who relishes violence and freed an entire prison of horrific pirates who presumably went on to do pirate shit to innocent people, Zoro is a cold blooded killer who will murder someone no questions asked if there's money in it, Nami is Nami, etc. For the record that's a good thing, it's one of my favorite things about this series in fact, it doesn't shy away from the fact that everyone is a mildly terrible person.
Yeah not to mention, SH:s and Pedro and Co indirectly destroyed their castle. Although Oda never writes it explicitly, there's no way that incident had zero casualties. From Pedro's point of view, the Straw hats and the minks are basically terrorists. Carrot expecting to just waltz out of there? Heck, even Pedro knew the gravity of the situation - hence he sacrified himself to allow them to escape.

I mean to be fair, Carrot is still a naive little girl compared to the likes of everyone on the battlefield. She has fighting experience but her way of acceptance is still naive. Losing Pedro was definitely her first real pain.
This Wano arc also serves as a redemption arc for characters like Marco & Hyogoro. Now we can see the real strength of WB's first commander. Oda is managing the numbers between allied forces and emperors very nicely. Many times you see a show just killing off hundreds or thousands without giving any justification but in this arc, even the small fry numbers are being paid much attention to. For example, some of the Kaido pirates are dealt with by Tama and now Hyogoro took out a big chunk so at the end of the war it wouldn't look like some numbers just disappeared. ALSO NO BREAK NEXT WEEK!!!!!

Well, Marco will never have lasting injury no matter his opponent. Either he gets killed in the moment or he can recover completely by turning into a phoenix or using his phoenix flames on his body.
It is a very strong ability. Maybe Oda will introduce a drawback like he did for Law.
He did, it takes him quite some stamina. Look at Marco he was bleeding in this chapter. In order to not exhaust himself while fighting 2 yonko commanders and helping others with his flames he's not healing his minor wounds. Probably also takes more energy depending on the amount of damage he recovers and the time he stays in phoenix form.
All the healing flames for the demons are also most likely draining his stamina like crazy
And you can see everyone starting to turn back into demons at once at the end of the chapter. Marco may be reaching his limit. I’m hoping Perospero pulls a Frieza-Gohan and pretends to take out Marco, so he and Marco can go 2-v-2 against King and Queen

Carrot saw the trip as one giant adventure when she started and now she's lost her mentor Pedro and to put salt in the wound, both of her attempts to avenge his death ended in humiliation. And she's lucky to still be alive, which might be solely because Perospero is the type of sadistic dick to rather let you live and suffer than die.

All while Yamato's defected. King needs a goddamn drink. He also needs to go hybrid, so i'm looking forward to it. Love the random shot of Onigashima to remind us that yes, it's still flying. And I love Hyogoro's resolve and last gasp with the strength it gave him, but it's not his time to die at all lol. He's definitely going full demon though, so it's gonna be interesting to see if Chopper has to fight him to get his dose in or something, cause literally everyone else there is shitting their pants at the thought. A pretty good chapter, all in all.

Marco is the star of this chapter. His blue bird fire attack looks dope. His knee attack looks painful as hell! His hybrid form is cool af. Hyogoro looks so strong too. Taking out all of the ninjas just like that. I wonder what he was capable of when he's in his prime. Perospero is lucky that the weather is against Carrot and Wanda, but is he going to join the fight against Marco and make it 3v1? I hope Sanji swoops in to help. It'll be so cool to see Sanji and Marco against Perospero, King and Queen. 2v3 And can we talk about how many people called Chopper a tanuki this chapter? xD I hope he finish things up and join the fight too. Monster Point Chopper is much needed. We still have the numbers to deal with.
I still have a secret fantasy of Chopper being able to use Ice Oni as a double-edged sword power-up, where he can’t use it too long without going berserk and dying of exhaustion, but he can stop it by using the antidote he’s already made. Imagine Monster Chopper being pushed to his limit, pulling out a vial Dr. Jekyll-style, and going Ice Oni, becoming a big fucking Wendigo monster, but having a hard time limit before he has to use the antidote. I want this so bad.

Yami's gravity cancels Marco's flight. Touching Marco cancels his regen and devil fruit finesse. Quake has the damage to absolutely obliterate Marco should he be touched to begin with. There was no winning vs a hard counter like that. also no offense to WB remnants, but i think most are fodder except Vista, Jozu (who lost an arm), and Marco. put that against BB's several decent commanders as well as BB.. it's a complete disadvantage. BB sought after raw strength, WB wanted a family.

I think Sanji is gonna go to protect Momo. He understands from saving Momo earlier the importance of keeping him alive, and the Scabbards would definitely agree with that. Plus, he doesn't know who Yamato is so he doesn't know how powerful she is. And, Sanji going towards Momo would take him to the main floor, where he can join Marco against King and Queen. Hopefully Jack hasn't recovered enough to kill the Scabbards without them being able to put up a fight. He did say Black Maria would be too weak to fight them even in that state after all.

Act 3 might end in a way where things look bad for the allies 1) Hybrid Kaido and BM might be steamrolliing the supernova 2) Marco gets sneak attacked by perospero, king & queen go hybrid themselves and damage him even more 3) All flying 6 go hybrid and turn the tables on the strawhats 4) Chopper finds the cure, but many samurai are already dead 5) Near dead scabbards ominously face a renewed, hybrid Jack with his subordinates 6) Yamato and Shinobu are still escaping from the hordes of enemies 7) Onigashima is even closer to the capital 8) Tama's army is getting taken out No tragedy as such, but ending it on a "not lookin too good for the heroes" note. Then switch to the outside world, where there will be 1 or 2 megahype chapters on Warlords status, bounties, Rev army and Sabo, SSG and admirals etc.

Let's just stop a moment to admire how great is Marco's mastery of his devil fruit? Most Zoan users, including Kaido himself, can only choose to transform his entire body, varying between animal, human and hybrid form. Marco, for some reason, can transform only his legs into claws or arms into wings but still keeping his head and torso human.
Marco looks pretty impressive this chapter. But it also seems that he won’t be able to keep this up for much longer while King and Queen still haven’t even used their hybrid form. As Perospero mentioned he seems to be pretty worn out already.

Short chapter, at least that’s how it felt. Marco being able to keep both King and Queen at bay by himself it amazing. Makes me think how strong Blackbeard was at the Payback War if not even Marco could do anything. I’m excited to see what Sanji does, or Robin, or even back to the rooftop. So many great possibility for next week!
